Ben and his team did a terrific job. My house is old, so nothing is easy. They gutted both rooms and refinished from scratch, including outside doors. They worked hard to level walls, floors and ceilings. The before and after is amazing. They were always on time, cleaned up every day, were always nice and polite. Ben also helped with design decisions.

The owner helped us make decisions by suggesting ideas to enhance the look of the space. Ben Maltzman and his workers took pride in their work. They were on time and worked steadily until the job was completed. The bathroom and work space were left neat and clean each day. We love the end result and look forward to working with Design for Living Contracting again.

The contractor was on-site at least once every day to check on progress and quality of work. He was friendly, respectful, and eager to please, even going so far as to come into my house and cut a new color in at the ceiling above my staircase which I couldn't reach (at no additional charge). His workers worked cleanly with a clean site at the end of each work day. End result is perfect. I would recommend Ben and his gang.

Ben and his crew were great -- very professional, neat, exacting, and a pleasure to have in the house. From our first meeting to get an estimate, Ben was professional and had a great eye for design. Ben took the negative experience of our basement flood and turned it into an opportunity to rethink our use of the space, adding built in storage shelves, rethinking the flooring type, helping choose paint colors, etc. His work was meticulous and everyone on his crew was polite, neat and hard working. We're those people who find additional jobs we'd like to do when we have a contractor in the house, and rather than being annoyed at the constant "Since you're here, do you think you could do..." Ben graciously added redoing our main level powder room and painting our den to the job, all within the time frame he initially quoted us and at a very reasonable price. I initially chose Ben because his price was very competitive, he seemed to have a good eye and ideas, and was a pleasant person. My instincts were right -- his work was great and he was easy to work with. I highly recommend him.

We are fixing up with a mind to selling a house that is way to large for empty nesters. Ben and his men were always on time and worked efficiently and quickly. All were very friendly and the work was done to a very high quality. Ben was very helpful in advising us how to get the work done without going overboard in costs.
