Hortensia Cleaning Service LLC

Have been using Hortensia for almost two years now, having them come in a bi-weekly and sometimes weekly (depending on needs) basis. Overall, this is a great company and they will go above and beyond to make their clients happy. I will say that scheduling can sometimes be tricky and punctuality can be improved but since I'm usually home for the day when they're scheduled to work, it's not a big deal. However, there have been a couple of instances where I had to call and reschedule as it was getting too late in the day. I pay a flat rate and will often add-on extras like cleaning out the fridge, cleaning the oven, or even carpet shampooing (which they do a great job). I have noticed that depending on who comes out from Hortensia that the level of thoroughness can fluctuate with some ladies taking more time in certain areas than others which can produce a varied result - but I've never had to point out something or have them come back. Give them a try, I believe you'll be happy with the results.

The service was outstanding. The girls were great. Not only did they do an excellent job with cleaning but they were friendly and courteous. They showed up on time and spent the whole time working **** ** my house. I really appreciate the hard work they provided and will definitely use them again.

I was very pleased with Maria and Sandra. They did a thorough job and got through nearly everything in 3 hours. I plan to start having them come at least once a month.

The first time Sandra and Irma came we were told by Theresa that the deep cleaning cost would be $120 and then we would be at $80 every two weeks, we agreed and set up the day and time for them to come. They arrive 20 minutes late, I don't get a call or text from them or the "owner" of the company, so I call another company to set up cleaning and then get a txt from a random number saying we're outside. So we say fine we'll see how they do and see for next time, so we show them around the house and go over the same things I did with Theresa and they said ok would take 3-4 hours and that they would call us when it was done. We had a few errands to run so we said we would probably stop back by in about 3 hours anyway and when we did Sandra told us they wouldn't be done for another hour or two and would charge extra since they heavily only focused on the bed room and cleaned under the bed and cleaned the floor boards we found it strange that it would take that long of a time seeing as it isn't an extremely large bedroom and there were two of them but we said ok we'll pay the extra $55 an hour so they can finish...... About 2 hours went by and we went back and they were still there so we went for grocerys and came back and saw they were there the whole time trying to get their car unlocked....they locked themselves out and we couldn't call the cops to help them unlock it because they did not have licenses and had no way of proving vehicle was ok to drive..... So we had to get my husbands father to come over and help us.... Before leaving they asked us to leave them a good review...... Next time they were due to come they arrived late again and cleaned OK not great... We said we'd find someone else and just use them once more while looking for another company... The next time they were due to come the woman Theresa calls an hour prior to their due arrival and says they can't make it... They were short staffed but if we agree to pay more then they could LOL and also pay more each time seeing as we were farther from them.... So took that many visits to realize.... I'm assuming another client who they did work for in the area also stopped using them so they didn't want to go to an area they only had one client in... The girls also were suppose to have been here 2 hours min as per thereasa and they were here barely an hour and 40 min but said were here 4 hours ! LOL my husband and I have txts from when they arrived late and then left..... Needless to say we are using a new company now and are very pleased. I've included the photo of when we had to help them get out of our driveway for over an hour.

I used the 6 hour special for $159. I was not expecting them to be able to service the entire home, so I set priorities of specific rooms. They were able to clean the whole house and i was pleased with their work. The only potential negative thing I note was the very strong smell of cleaning supplies when I got home at the end of the day. However, I doubt that could be helped since they had cleaned the whole house.

Service is horrible. Initially, the cleaning girls were great but they never showed up on time, were no shows a few times. The office manage and owner were of no help in scheduling a regular every two week cleaning at the same time and/or day. The worst part was I had asked to always have the sames cleaners that did a wonderful job but instead they kept sending other people without telling me and one the last visit I came home to find one my expensive figurines broken and hidden in a corner behind a basket. When I called the company and sent a picture immediately I got no response. When I finally did get a response the office manager told me the cleaning girls denied braking the figurine. When I asked if that bothered her at all that she had employees that lied she said, No because if they admitted it they would deduct the cost from their pay. I was not looking for that to happen as accidents happen but I wanted to at least be told it happened. I had to keep calling them and calling them for an update on getting the $ for the figure. I supplied them with the picture, sku # and website for them to either order a new piece or pay me for the one broken. After many calls they advised me to purchase another one and submit the bill to them for them to submit to the insurance. I was not about to do that and have to chase them down for the money when they were not responsive to my phone calls or text messages. What is interesting about that also is that if they deducted it from the employees pay and really submitted it to an insurance company than they would be double dipping and recouping the cost from both. I even advised them I was going to file a claim in small claims court - still no response after several months have gone by. They obviously do not care about their customers or the service level they provide. I would never use them again nor would I recommend anyone attempt to use them. If you do beware!

There is no one else i would call for housecleaning , they are such hard working people which is why i used them 3 times. The homes they cleaned smelled and looked spotless.

Really well. I usually get Sandra and another girl. Today it was Sandra and Miram (sp?) They ALWAYS do a really great job and in such little time! They clean pretty much everything and dust and by the time they leave--everything sparkles! I hired Hortensia after a bad experience with a different cleaning service, and will not look elsewhere. They also have never denied me an appointment and are great accommodating to my schedule. A+

Very good housecleaning from Sandra and Miriam

The first time they came they were great. They were on time and they did a good job. They just started to decline recently.

Good work cleaning but not punctual, unreliable for scheduling.

Sandra and Miriam arrived on time and cleaned our house from top to bottom in 3 hours. They were very polite and did an excellent job. These ladies are hardworking and I do plan to use their services again soon.

Sandra and her team are fantastic. She goes out of her way to ensure that everything is done completely. In addition, she frequently asks if any areas need special focus and has flexible in the schedule. I am hoping to continue using Sandra for the foreseeable future in regularly scheduled services.

Sandra and Shilay provided an excellent, thorough cleaning for my (3) bedroom, (2.5) bathroom home. Very friendly and professional. They were 1 hr and a half late, but that was due to other clients; so I do not feel that was in their control. The owner reached out to me to make sure it was still ok that they come late.

I had my house cleaned thoroughly. I wanted them to pay special attention to some areas which they did. I plan on using them again.

Sandra and Marlin arrived promptly and did a great, thorough job cleaning the house. Both we very friendly and I am very happy with the service provided.

I have been using Hortensia for about 2 years. They are very good and trustworthy. The person who usually cleans for me, Marilyn, always asks if there is any special area that needs extra attention. She works hard and does a really good job. Once she found a gold/blue topaz bracelet that I was sure I had lost outside... behind my refrigerator! Without blinking an eye, she told me she found it and gave it right back to me. They do extra work (yes, it costs more but is very worth it) for my holidays and I have no complaints.

Sandra from Hortensia Cleaning Service is the best. She is always going above and beyond, my home is spotless after her visits which is no easy task with my 2 children ages 2 and 4 and always tries to do something extra. Would not be able to manage without their services. I highly recommend this cleaning service and Sandra is amazing! They come on a biweekly basis, just which I could afford more frequent cleanings.

Went great. 2 people cleansed the house. They spent considerable time and ensured house was sparkling clean. Bathrooms were cleaned superbly. Thanks to them for ensuring the house is near and tidy. Both the cleaners were very professional, worked independently and got all their supplies like vacuum etc

I've been with Hortensia's cleaning service for over 7 years. Sandra is the cleaning person who usually comes to our home. She is amazing, always does those little extra things, that just make the service great. The service is affordable for the functions that are performed.

We hired hortensia to clean our 4 bedroom house where we recently moved in. We already got our initial cleaning done by a different company who undoubtedly did an awesome job but couldn't return because they are busy throughout the week so we tried our luck with this new company after looking at their good rating. It was a huge mistake by hiring them as they would only do basic jobs like dusting and vacuuming that too at slowest pace possible. They didn't even move light furniture like chairs or coffee table and only cleaned the visible surface until my mother decided to move all stuff by her own while the young man who was vacuuming just kept watching her and didn't bother to help. Other lady only cleaned 2 bathrooms through out her 3 hours time while this young man only did vacuum and light dusting. They left many spots visibly dirty and left our half bathroom untouched which we found out later after they were gone. I guess they were upset because I told them on arrival that I have to leave after 3 hours for some work so they can't get extra hours and have to finish their job in allotted time. They didn't clean the things which were dirty but spent more time in cleaning things which were already clean. In fact after 2.5 hours the man said we are leaving and I said you guys are not done cleaning and there is still 30 minutes of the time left. He gave the dumbest answer that since I was telling him to move faster so he did 3 hours of job in 2.5 hours. The company who cleaned our home for move in did an excellent job in same time when house was not in great condition as it was this time. They did even clean windows from inside . I would definitely not call these unprofessional and rude people again. Complete waste of money.

It was a big deal purchase. It did not turn out so good. It did not work so I purchased something else. They came out a couple of days after I purchased the deal, but they had to come out again because they did not clean properly. They were very arrogant. When the supervisor came out she checked and decided they did not do a good job. They were very argumentative. My wife says they were very bad -- horrible. My advice to others is to never use them again -- never contact them, never use them. We are trying to put our house on the market for sale. Their responsiveness was average.

We had basically hired them for a move in cleaning. We mentioned this several times that we need deep cleaning for a house that we had just bought. The cleaning started off well. The cleaning staff seemed to be working hard. We requested them to pay special attention to the kitchen appliances and the bathrooms. Since we were in the middle of a lot of paperwork after our closing, we did not get a chance to throughly inspect everything. They seemed to be working hard so we even tipped them in the end. Day two. I inspect the kitchen. I was shocked to see how dirty it was! The appliances were still dirty, like really really dirty. Tried calling the company a couple of times and even sent them pictures to prove that the work wasn't performed as promised and no one has bothered to get back to us. Theresa stopped taking our calls or responding to our messages. I would not hire them or recommend them to anyone. 380$ is a LOT of money to waste and I totally regret hiring this company for the cleaning job.

Worked at much slower pace than other companies I've hired and had to add an extra hour. However, they were more thorough than others as well.
