Gary was very easy to deal with and extremely professional. The moving crew arrived promptly and they expertly wrapped and disassembled and moved all of the furniture. I have never seen a better crew. They worked quickly and efficiently while taking the utmost care. Gary, the proprietor was onsite. This was the best moving experience I ever had, and I will never use anyone else.

The process began with easy and straightforward communication with Steve and Gary (the owner) that followed through the whole job. Gary was straightforward about his scheduling realities and very quickly understood the contours of the somewhat convoluted move that we needed. His very competitive pricing for 'white glove' service took into account our Angie's List membership and his prompt responsiveness by phone, text messaging and email conveyed a serious commitment to the job. Once the date and a binding price for the move was established, a reasonable $100 deposit was placed on our card and the paperwork required by our building management company was promptly conveyed by Big G's office. As promised, Gary contacted us on the day prior to the move to gather some further details about the locales involved in the move and to clarify what to expect on our end of things. Big G's crew, consisting of Matt, Tank and Tyler, arrived exactly at the time they said they would (with a heads-up phone call about an hour before each arrival). They are a really impressive crew and did a terrific job packing and protecting everything that needed packing and protecting and were tremendously personable and professional throughout the process. This was a job that required some truly annoying transit and traffic - transit both into and out of Manhattan in the middle of a weekday and in the midst of some torrential rain, to boot. Yet they arrived at each stop with great attitudes and all their skills fresh and ready to go. We had some heavy, unwieldy items that had to get moved to some difficult, tight spaces and they took it all in stride (and with a good bit of humor too). Really nice guys and really good at what they do. When it came time to pay the bill, the figure was exactly as agreed and we felt more than happy to include solid gratuities for the crew in line with the very solid job they completed. In total, it was a very positive experience from stem to stern. So much so that I've already recommended them to my brother who will be making use of their services in a couple of weeks time.

Move went well. Workers were very friendly and accommodating. We were very pleased that it took less time than anticipated.

Gary & his team were great - they showed up on time and were quick and courteous. They moved our 3 bedroom apartment in 4 hours which I thought was amazing. Our final price was exactly what was quoted even though we had a few extra boxes. We just finished unpacking and not a scratch on anything. I've never had a move go so smoothly, highly recommended!

We were getting new carpeting installed on the second floor of our home. Steve and Roy move several expensive antique pieces of furniture from the second floor into the basement. They communicated with each other when moving around corners and treated our furniture like it was their own. Both Steve and Roy were professional, polite and efficient. They moved a total of 6 pieces into the basement and at the end they asked "is there anything else you would like us to move?"

Gary and Tank were amazing today. I have helped coordinate two moves with other companies in the past three years and was not looking forward to another. I'm so glad I found Big G Movers on Angie's list. Gary returned my call right away. He quoted me a price for the work I described and then suggested a more comprehensive, less labor intensive (for me) solution to my move. These guys are the "real deal". As soon as they started moving things I knew they were capable and professional. They protected my furniture with shrink wrap and blankets, my home with padding around the front door and matting on the floor, were careful with all my belongings and made the most of the available space in the POD. They were friendly, fast and super affordable! I highly recommend Big G Movers and will certainly call on them when my renovations are complete to move the same stuff in reverse. Big G's was so incredible. They were terrific. They did everything I asked them to do and did it so well and were so patient with me as I was deciding where all things should go in my house. They were just wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

The move went very smoothly. I had to change the date of the move and Gary was very accommodating. The weather was horrible so they covered all of my mattresses and box springs free of charge and took extra care to protect my floors from tracking in mud. They also moved 6 boxes that were not part of the original deal. All 3 guys were really friendly and Gary showed up at the apartment just to make sure everything was proceeding as planned.

The owner of this company was actually leading the team of movers who arrived. He was a terrific guy. The whole team was punctual, professional, respectful, friendly and courteous. This was by far the fastest move I've ever experienced, and I've moved my 1 bedroom apartment more than 5 times over the last few years. The experience began with a confirmation call the day before the move and continued with a punctual arrival time on the day of the move. None of my belongings were mistreated or handled roughly. They put together everything they took apart, asked direction when they needed it rather than leave things in the wrong places, and even managed to keep the mood light and jovial during all of the hard work. When we arrived at the destination apartment, we were faced with delays, but they were calm and organized and very open to cooperating to ensure a smooth moving experience. I recommend this company highly to anyone who is looking to hire movers.

Big G was early, courteous, cheerful, efficient, careful. They padded the doorways in our home (something that previous movers had not done). The crew never stopped- there was a constant stream of furniture coming up from the basement and out to the pod. No time was wasted. Big G worked within our budget and did an excellent job. Moved 1 bedroom apartment from one town to another. From the initial call to the completed move, everything was perfect! This was actually the second time our family has used Gary and his staff (Steve, Roy and Derek) and we would never even consider using any other company. We have recommended them to our friends and will continue to do so. Big G's commitment to customer service, along with extremely competitive pricing, is second to none. GREAT JOB GUYS!! I was very pleased with Big G Movers. I needed one piece of furniture moved, emailed Big G and Gary responsed immediately. Next thing I know Steve and Roy are at my door, the same day I contacted Big G, to move my dresser. They had to manipulate this heavy piece of furniture down a narrow staricase and they did it with ease and no damage to the walls or furniture. I'm very grateful to Gary, Steve and Roy for helping me.

Very well. The three movers were punctual, cooperative, accommodating and respectful of our concerns. They were truly gentlemen in every sense of the word and took time to be careful in everything they did. We were presently surprised given our past experience with another company.

Perfect - they were on time, very courteous and immediately knew the best way to handle the switch. The final price was actually less than I was quoted on the phone.

Overall experience was excellent. Gary and his team were professional, courteous and very friendly. They were caring and respectful of our possessions and went the extra mile to ensure our pets were safe and did not "escape" the chaos!! From start to finish, Gary was a pleasure to deal with. He answered my original call the same day and gave me a price. He was able to work with our schedule on rather short notice. The team arrived at the apartment on time and had the contents wrapped and loaded into the truck in an hour. Within the next 90 minutes, all of the furniture was placed and reassembled. Gary even moved some things that were not on my original list. They did a great job.

Gary and his team of men were a pleasure to work with. Gary was responsive to my multiple emails and phone calls leading up to the move, assuring me that him and his team were ready for the move. On the day of the move, the full team arrived on time and ready to work. His team worked incredibly fast, quickly moving the furniture and items into their two trucks. They even moved several items that we didn't originally discuss in the terms of the move. Steve was incredible helpful when he moved all of our clothes from two closets into the wardrobe boxes, then unloaded them back into our new closets! When our large fridge would not fit down the hallway of our new house, they kept us calm and explained what they were going to do to get it in it's spot. A short time later, it was in the kitchen! My husband said if we didn't have them moving us, the fridge would've been left in the garage. :-) They went above and beyond when they moved the existing washer and dryer from the basement back to our other house! Truly an easy move for us, they great group of guys to work with.

I cannot recommend Big G highly enough. They were punctual, professional, and made what is typically a stressful experience for us virtually stress free. They went above and beyond, and even fixed one of our furniture legs that fell off during our last move (which we did ourselves). They handled our items with care and everything made it to their new home safely. I am hoping that we do not have to move again for a long time, but whenever that time comes I would definitely use Big G again.

The move required loading contents of 2nd floor apartment and making 2 stops, with half the contents going into a storage location and the other contents to 2nd location. The final destination spot had items going into a garage, the 2nd floor and first floor of house. I was very happy with the communications, professionalism and friendly crew. In addition to locking up the move date several weeks in advance, Gary and I talked the night before the move and his crew called me the day of the move to advise of their expected arrival time. I liked the fixed price and didn't have to worry about any surprise additional hours/charges. All went well, as one other customer noted, it was like having a group of friends. The move was efficient and performed professionally. I would definitely use these guys again. Gary, good luck with your upcoming marriage.

Gary and ALL of his crew were punctual, professional and Friendly. They made me feel like they were friends come to help me do this tremendous job willingly. The set price for the service was great and they certainly all went above and beyond. It was extremely nice to find myself dealing with pros who really knew how to get the job done! The BEST MOVERS EVER!!!!! Gary oversees everything! Not only do they show up early, they are extremely careful, efficient, friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable! They even put our furniture together!!!!! We LOVE these guys!!!!!

The house closing was delayed by 2 days, only 1 day before the closing date. Gary worked me into his schedule for the day of the closing. He brought 6 guys and they finished the move in less than 3 hours. This was critical because I had to catch a plane the same day. They were very fair, polite, respectful, and accommodating.
