It went fantastically. Gary was incredibly patient and understanding as we had some issues moving into the new place. We had to push back the move twice but each time Gary was understanding, compassionate, and accommodating. When the day finally arrived, we had scheduled a 1:30-1:45pm move, Gary texted me before noon to tell me that they might be running a bit late which I greatly appreciated, but they showed up exactly when they were supposed to. I lived in a third floor walk-up, and the three guys Gary sent loaded up everything that was left in my apartment within two hours. Never once did I feel worried they would damage any of my possessions, and asked me questions the entire time about pieces of furniture or what needed to be loaded. They even helped lug a computer desk that wasn't making the move down to the building's dumpster! They showed up at the new place within 30-40 minutes, and each item they took off the truck they asked me in what room in the house it was going. They had issues getting my boxspring up the stairs as it was a VERY tight fit but they made it work. These guys know what they're doing and are VERY resourceful. They were also very sociable and friendly. All in all, 2 hours to take everything down from a third floor walk-up with awful parking options and winding stairways, 30 minutes or so to drive it over and 2 hours to unload it into my new two-floor place. I can't speak kindly enough about everyone I encountered, or the price! Places that I had called (even ones where a friend was friends with the owner of other moving companies) quoted me $900-1700 in some cases, and Gary quoted me $700 since I was going to be moving as many boxes as I could that would fit into my small car. It was more than fair for price, and way above expectations on the quality of customer service and quality of the service itself. Don't hesitate to call these guys, they will be the first number I call if I am in need of a move again.

GREAT, everyone at Big G Movers are true professionals. From scheduling a day and time to the actual move went extremely well. They were courteous, respectful, and very helpful. Everything went smooth as can be from when I first contacted Gary up until his guys finished the job. They were very courteous, professional and punctual. They handled everything perfectly. This was our first time using movers so I was very nervous, but they reassured me that everything was going to be fine. And everything WAS GREAT. My wife and I couldn't be happier to have used Big G Movers! I've already referred then to a few of our friends in need of movers and will continue to send anyone that needs movers their way. We absolutely loved the energy of our movers! They were friendly and professional. We also loved how they took their time to properly wrap our furniture especially because of the rainy conditions. They were neat and punctual. We definitely are looking to use them again!

The whole process was very smooth. Gary and his wife were very prompt and friendly in returning calls and emails. He even offered us some discounts as a repeat customer. The 3 man crew he sent over was prompt-they said 9:30 and arrived at 9:29!. They were friendly and courteous, and even funny, joking around with us, which helped relieve the stress! I could tell they were well trained and knew what they were doing, everything got from point A to point B without incident, even though they had a narrow hallway and a hard turn to deal with. They did everything that was asked without a bat of an eye, and after it was done even said they had some extra time in our 5 hours we paid for, so was there anything else we needed moved? I was stunned and asked if they'd help bring an armchair to our guest bedroom and they did it with a smile. I'd highly recommend these movers!

I had first reached out to Gary at Big G to move a single piece of furniture from, and a twin bed to, my mom's apartment at an assisted living facility (we had to move a bed in for a live-in aide). Another mover got back to me really fast and I hired them (big mistake), but I then had a great conversation with Gary and said I'd reach out to them first the next time. My mother passed away just a couple of weeks later, and I called Gary as promised, when I was ready to empty her apartment. He was responsive, sensitive, and really nice - and since this was a really local move, worked with me on the pricing, which was REALLY fair. The guys showed up early, actually, and they were the BEST MOVERS I HAVE EVER HAD. They were super careful with her furniture (which is very expensive mid-century modern solid Danish teak), shrink-wrapping it all first, and then covering fully with blankets. Very impressive. They were fast, efficient, and really patient and understanding about how difficult this was for me and my husband. Can't say enough good things about them. We were so pleased that we tipped the guys extra, even though it was a very small move and only took a couple of hours. About to hire them again to do a round trip move to Long Island because I've just sold my mom's house!

It was a great experience. Gary, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating and Steve, his employee, is such a hard worker and a wonderful person.

The job went perfect. The guy's did the roof in extreme heat without complaining they also did not stop. It took them 3 Days to strip and replace the shingles. After job was done it looked perfect. The front porch fencing was also done with experience and speed. My neighbors said that the house looked brand new. When I look at the house I know the money was well spent. Now I need a front door.

This was a small job for a moving company, so I didn't think it would be easy to find someone. I received a call back from Big G's the same day and they were here the next day, on a Sunday afternoon. Gary himself was here with one other person, both of whom were super friendly and extremely helpful. Not only did they move the crated furniture up, but they also assembled it. They wrapped the furniture to protect it even just to move from one bedroom to another. They had everything moved, and made sure we were happy with it, in about an hour.

I was so amazed with the incredible job that Big G Movers did for me and my husband. The guys were so hard working and had such wonderful attitudes. Big G made what is normally a horrible task so much less dreadful. All of the crew had wonderful attitudes and were a real pleasure. I could not have been more pleased. The crew took care of our possessions as if they were their own. They packed the truck in a careful way, taking care to keep the fragile boxes separated and secured. A 3 men group came and did a fantastic job. They were very polite, efficient and moved everything without any problems. They brought the wrapping clothes etc (included in the cost) and wrapped everything which needs protection. They also stopped at a dump on the way to help discard some of heavier stuff we don't need any more. The move was estimated to take 3 hours and it was completed exactly in 3 hours. We will rehire them without any second thoughts for any kind of moving in future. Thank you for the wonderful job.

Big G Movers were great!! I could not have asked for a better moving service. The owner was awesome and the guys helping out were the BEST!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone. The service was great and reasonably priced --- and they were ON TIME!! All the furniture and boxes were moved with care and we were very satisfied with the whole 5 men crew. They were all so kind. I am so glad I chose Big G Movers. Thank you for helping us move at this difficult time. If and when we move again, they will be my number one call definitely!! It could not have gone any better. The negotiations took place over the phone & all my questions up to the move date were answered promptly via text. They showed up on time. The three men on the team were great (thanks Frank) - were pleasant and professional - and even worked with me on some additional items that I need to bring along. The whole process - door to door (driving 90 miles) - was completed in less than 5 hours. I wholeheartedly recommend this service!

Big G was great throughout the process. Communication was excellent, they arrived on time, estimated the correct amount of time to complete both the move and move back in. Their team on site was conscientious and took care of furniture and house alike. No damage to anything, and very helpful in getting everything disassembled and reassembled. Professional and first rate in all respects.

Gary and his crew did an amazing job on moving our furniture. The guys worked hard and quick. Amazing communication, courteous and the guys were very helpful.

He sent a truck with a crew of six people. They were quick, careful and friendly. One of the problems with Gary doing the estimate by phone is that we had far more packed boxes than he had anticipated. On the other hand, we canceled a side trip to a storage unit almost 10 miles away, which saved time and labor, so Gary called it a wash on the quoted price. He did ask us to "take care of his guys" because of the unexpectedly large number of boxes they had to load and unload, but we were happy to do so for the excellent service they provided.

We contacted Big G on short notice - they were fantastic! Great communication and they really looked for ways to keep costs down for us. This was a small move - but they treated us like we were their largest customer. I have heard horror stories of mover's promises and then they never show up. They texted the night before to confirm and showed up right on time - the move was quick and efficient. If you need a mover in the NJ area contact Big G!

It went awesome! Overall, best experience yet, and I moved 13 times in 12 years, so we have experience with movers. Had a few bad experiences in previous moves, and was prepped for another sh!tshow of watching, correcting, arguing and being being frustrated. Not this time! Big G Movers are the best of the best! Here are all the awesome things they did to make sure I'm stress free with the move: - The owner (Gary) allowed me to reschedule without penalty (due to a mold issue which needed to be repaired in destination apartment) - They came from far away and accommodated my awkward schedule - They called way ahead to let me know they may be late, but were really only off by 1-2 minutes. Unlike previous - Checked the pick-up site and explained what they're going to do as well as how and why - Listened to directions without grunting, moaning, groaning, and whining.. Actually did it with a smile! - Respected my house and my destination apartment. - Packed everything with appropriate materials, professionally! - Took care of and did not even scratch or leave a smudge in the house we moved out of or the place we moved into. - Did not take a break during the job! Team Beast are ruthless!!! - Moved us in a very reasonable time frame. I didn't feel I paid a penny for people just lingering and moving slow, at all! They were careful and FAST! - When it was time to pay, I didn't have a heart attack and fall on the floor because of the bill. The price was reasonable and I gladly paid them. Owner is great! Team is great! These folks are really the best in the business! I highly recommend them! The "Team Beast" crew was the best! I really can't say enough good things about the owner and the team! THANK YOU SO MUCH! WILL BE IN TOUCH FOR OUR NEXT MOVE! :)

I found Big G Movers on Angie's List, and I picked them for my brother's move after reading all the positive reviews on Angie's List. Overall, I was happy with Gary's service and the move went smoothly. --- Gary was able to accommodate my last minute request (five days before the move date) to help my brother move his items from my parent's house to my brother's rental 1.5 hours away. I sent Gary an email asking about his availability, and Gary was very responsive by email, quickly answering my questions and confirming his availability all within half a day. --- Gary gave me the 5% Angie's List discount. His pricing was $195 per hour for 3 movers and a truck plus extra for gas. The clock started at the time they arrived at my parent's house until the unload at the rental. I gave a downpayment of $50 ahead of the move. There is a 4 hour minimum charge (although we finished in 3 hours). --- Gary sent 3 movers with a truck to my parent's house around 10AM. Gary texted me in advance to let me know that they may be a little late which I appreciated that he gave us the headsup so we wouldn't be concerned that no one was showing up. --- All three of the movers were courteous, professional, and nice. The movers were efficient and quickly loaded my brother's items in less than 30 minutes. (My brother had everything ready in boxes so that the movers wouldn't have to help with any packing.) The unload also went quickly. --- Nothing was damaged during the move. --- Gary was available by text throughout the whole move and afterwards.
