They were very prompt and profesional. Their estimate was higher than someone I had worked with before, whose work I was happy with, so I went with the person I knew.

These people were the best contractors we ever used. They did every thing we requested and more. They will be used by us again. In fact, we are going to call them in a few weeks to put in a railing in our basement and do some repairs.

I was very excited and willing to wait to have Jack come to my house since he was highly rated on Angie's List and was very busy because I was told at the time of the estimate appointment that he would not be able to do any of my work until September which I said would be fine. After waiting over a week to have Jack come to my house to give me an estimate for various jobs (carpentry, tile, painting) and spending over an hour and a half going over what I needed done and what he would be able to do I never received a written estimate. After about three weeks I called requesting a verbal estimate for three of the items. I received that and was told that Jack would be sending the final written estimate. I again called requesting a written estimate. When I called I was told Jack thought I had gone with someone else since I did not schedule with him on the verbal estimate. I again requested an estimate for all the work in writing - at least four weeks ago. I have not received an estimate or a call back. I believe Jack was not interested in doing the work and used the excuse that since I had requested a verbal estimate I had gone with someone else. That was not the case. I have just now gone to another company to request a written estimate this past week and will be scheduling with them for the end of September which was the time frame I told Jack would work for me.

They were nice to me and didn't give me a hard time. They gave me a price and also gave me a discount. I would tell others to go for it and try them and I will use this company again in the future.

I called this contractor on 08/11/11 requesting an estimate on upgrades to my kitchen. On 08/12/11 I received a response advising me someone could come to my home on 08/18/11 to provide an estimate between 6:00-7:00 PM. On that date no one came or called to cancel the appointment; this caused a great inconvenience since I missed an evening class to wait on an estimate.

He did a marvelous job. He was dependable and always there on time.

It was just too expensive so I didn't use their service. The quote was fine. I was not in a position for the amount of money they were charging. They were very nice and I had no problem with them. He came out and then gave me the estimate over the phone. I might consider using them in the future.

Overall they did a fabulous job. They were very professional and courtious. Some unforseen projects came up, and Jack did the work at no extra cost. For exmaple, I decided to replace my vanity top and facuet, he replace it with no complaints. Also I was two tiles short for my backspalsh and he went to purchase more without blinking an eye. I would hire him again in a minute and recommend him to all.

They are reliable, responsive and a good value. I use them regularly and I'm very happy with them.

The kitchen looks like a new kitchen, even though most of the cabinets were already there. The counter top and the new pieces have provided a make-over to the kitchen. Jack did a great job.

It went really well. They did a great job and showed up and worked hard every day. They showed up on time and worked at least an 8-hour day or more. Overall I was very happy with them and they did a great job. I would use them again.

Their price was reasonable. Their terms were reasonably good. There is nothing that I dislike about them. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future.

They did quite a few things in our house. They were very good. The owner, Jack, is very good, very knowledgeable, and very caring. He has all the traits one would want from a contractor. I'm absolutely familiar with this company and I would highly recommend them. I don't have any complaints or anything bad to say about them. They are very approachable. If we want to make appointments or get estimates they are right there. It's very easy to contact them. If we have any problems during any construction or renovation they would call us right away. I like them a lot. I have already recommended them to some of my friends.

My wife and I were looking to have several rooms painted professionally and got quotes from some local, professional painting firms, as well as a quote from Jack. Not only was Jack’s quote the best (by a significant amount), but he was friendlier than other “professionals” and quickly put our minds at ease regarding the quality of work he would provide and how he would prepare for the job. We were very insistent that no paint touch the woodwork in the house and that the newly refinished hardwood floors not be scratched or damaged in any way. Jack went out of his way to accommodate our needs and to make sure we were happy and comfortable with the job he was doing every step of the way. The job entailed painting several large rooms, including a dining room, family room and master bedroom with 10-foot ceilings, a kitchen, foyer, hallway and a guest bathroom. In the two latter rooms, Jack removed very old wallpaper that was improperly glued directly to plaster board, resulting in walls that needed fairly extensive repair work. He did a fine job of repairing the walls prior to painting them. We were so happy with his paint work that we ended up asking him to take care of several other jobs while he was there. This included repairing broken closet doors, repairing the plumbing under the kitchen sink, replacing an electrical switch, installing a new shower head and aiding in the installation of a new dryer vent system. Both Jack and his assistant PJ do top notch work and were professional, courteous and respectful of our property from the beginning of the job all the way through to the end. They arrived early in the day and worked late into the evening in order to get the job done properly and within our requested time frame of approximately two weeks. Overall we couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. Jack's prices are extremely fair considering the quality of work he provides so if you're getting quotes from local professionals and contractors for any job, do yourself a favor and call Jack for a quote as well.

He had put some thing around my chimney to stop the leak, but it started to leak again. I called him and he came and did some more work there and did not charge me for that. He is very good. He is very knowledgeable. He is easy to work with and very accommodating when it comes to getting paid. He answers my questions. He is very clean and doesn't leave a lot of stuff lying around. He is great. I would recommend him.

Jack and his assistants removed the falling drop ceiling and florescent light in a basement room for a room I was converting from an office/gym to a bedroom. They replaced the drop ceiling and florescent light, with drywall and two recessed lights. Jack and his team did an excellent job, exceeding my expectations, start to finish. Jack was very responsive in scheduling an estimate, and was flexible to changes in my plan. I opted to paint the ceiling myself to reduce the overall cost of the project. Jack was understanding of this, and his estimate was clear and detailed enough for me to identify the cost savings. Jack arrived on time, and the work performed was of high quality. Jack also left sanding supplies so I could refine any edges and offered advice on painting. He left the job site very tidy and clean. The final cost of the project was the same as the original estimate. Jack and his team was a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to working with them again!

Everything was good. He came when he said he would both times. I was very pleased with him and the price he charged. He was very clean and cleaned up well after he was done.

He came out on time and did a good job. He didn't actually clean the place after he left, but the job he did was good. I would recommend them. He met my expectations. He did the required work, and the pricing was fair.

Jack is a "dream come true" to work with. He is accommodating and understanding. During the course of our project, the refurbishing of an apartment, a couple things came up that we hadn't discussed and Jack had no problem with it. He will pick things up for you, he will tell you where to go to look at things, he will even make suggestions based on his experience. It was the easiest project my husband and I have ever been through. I can't imagine anyone who could have replaced sections of hardwood flooring and matched it up better than he did. It was exceptional. Also, he had his work cut out for him on the kitchen floor and ceiling, which both turned out beautifully. Jack switched out a couple kitchen cabinets for us and put in a microwave, and he did a great job with that. Then he put new handles on all the doors so everything matched up. Jack made our life easy at a difficult time, and we would definitely use him again in the future.

They have done excellent work and I will definitely continue using them. The work is very high in quality. They are courteous and have reasonable prices. They are incredibly thorough and I give them the highest rating.

This was new to us, and we were really pleased at the fair price Jack quoted us for the work. It did take a while longer than we had thought, but we think that we just underestimated the work and Jack's original quote only increased a small amount. He was very clear about the supplies that we would need, and offered to give us a list to buy it ourselves at Home Depot or to buy it and give us receipts. We did a combination of both. He had one person helping and they seemed to be working very hard to do the work correctly. It was not rushed, and that was more important than having it quickly done. THe work now looks great. Its stressful for a new homeowner to see this type of work done and I appreciated his patience and willingness to look at different options. Its been a few months and I needed to live with it but I see that the lighting is beautiful, the drywall and moved duct looks awesome and the dishwasher is great - the cabinetry blends right in. The materials cost about 400 on top, and so really we feel very lucky to have found someone who could work with our budget. There were things he explained we could do ourselves to save money. He spent a lot of time explaining what he would do to make sure we would like it. When we have the money again, we wold hire Jack to do homework.

I called Jack initially and left a message with his wife Fran who is very courteous. Jack did not call back. Then I called again a week later and left another message with his wife, and he then returned my call. He did not give an estimate for the work requested. When I paid him for his work, his hourly rate was higher this time then when I used him previously. He said he would email an invoice, which he did not do. I called a couple times more letting him know I didn't get the invoice, he checked my email address and claimed to send it again and yet again. I never got it. I also inquired of Jack regarding two shower heads that he reportedly left on the vanity but were missing when he left. He then said he put them in a box in my office, I checked the box and he did not. He never sent the invoice and he did not tell me where he left the shower heads. I have used Jack previously and he did quality work for a fair price and I was very happy with his work and professionalism. This time was different. I felt he was not honest with me and I would not use him again.

They were fine. I called them up and spoke to them, they responded right away. I met the man at the house, he was real nice, punctual and explained everything. He did exactly what he said he would do. I would highly recommend them, they do very professional work at a fair price. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

This is the 2nd time I've used Jack Joyce of Jack of All Trades to do work for us. He's terrific and so is his assistant, P.J. These guys can do it all! I had them renovate my upstairs bathroom last year also. Jack and P.J. removed my old drop ceiling and wallpaper, and installed sheet rock on the ceiling and walls, including insulation. Jack is wonderful with woodworking. He created beautiful crown moldings and baseboard moldings for me, put picture frame moldings around the windows, installed new doors on my linen closet and entry to the stairway to the 3rd floor and my bedroom so everything matches, installed a new ceiling fan, did some additional electrical work for me, and painted everything. The staircase was a challenge because our house is very old and off-level, but P.J. cut the pieces for each step individually and topped it with matching molding and it looks great! I had them install wallpaper first on the stairway, but I was not happy with the choice I made, and decided to have it sheetrocked instead. Jack rolled with the change, and, although it took a few extra days to complete, but it turned out beautifully! They are going to return after the holidays to turn a part of my hallway into a walk-in closet! Jack came up with an idea to make this work for me instead of removing an interior wall! Can't wait.
