Dan Higgins is THE best contractor I have ever used. They installed new hardwood floors throughout my whole house and I could not be more pleased. Every phase of the project from Sale to Installation was a pleasure. Anthony and his crew treated my house like their house and did an amazing job on my floors. I'm very happy. No point in going to anyone else for flooring... this is the place to go.

From the showroom where all the options were well explained and the home estimate, they had the patience to deal with our indecisiveness with regards to which wood we wanted. We were never made to feel like we were wasting their time. The wood floors were delivered on schedule about one week before the actual installation, so that it could get acclimatized to our home. The installation started as expected, they ripped up our downstairs living room and our 2nd floor carpeting (hallway + 4 bedrooms) + closets and replaced them with beautiful hardwood floors. however, due to some miscalculation from both our part, we had not dismantled a walk-in closet fixture before they started work there, costing them some time and wood to dismantle work they had already done around it, and replace the portion of affected flooring after we took the fixture down at no additional cost. and their part, they came up a bit short on the shoe molding required to finish the job, the reducers used initially to separate the new living room floor from the surrounding tile floor were a bit thin for any longevity and cracked, It took a second visit scheduled a short time thereafter to finish the job to our satisfaction. At all times during this process, Dan and his team kept in touch and ensured we would not be left guessing or unsatisfied, always showed up on time, and did not leave a mess behind them, all things I am finding rarer and rarer these days. I feel It should also be stated that the commute from their location to our house was one hour each way. UPDATE: I called them back 3-4 weeks later to report a squeak and a creak it two high traffic area, and they sent Tim over about a week later to address the issues. He arrived ahead of schedule, was very courteous and professional and fixed the noisy spots. Excellent support, even after the original service was complete.

From the original contact thru the installation, everything was flawless. The price was competetive. All the employees I dealt with were competent, and friendly.

Wood was delivered a week before installation to season it to house environment, over 50 boxes. Installation was estimated to take 3 days. On first day all old flooring was removed and furniture/appliances moved as required by three man crew. Debris was removed and area cleaned prior to installation. Installation proceeded and was completed in three days as estimated. Installers paid attention to fit and cleanliness during work. They answered any questions I had and were great to work with. They setup a sawing station on front porch to modify wood during installation and cleaned up after so no debris or sawdust was left. They really did an excellent job.

Dan Higgins workers were professional, they cleaned up after themselves and did a great job with the floor. They also were careful with my furniture and other flooring. Super job

This company may be the most reliable I have ever dealt with. The place is family owned and Dan himself came out to check the job before and after it was done. All workmen are professional, courteous, knowledgeably and neat. AWESOME SERVICE AND WORKMANSHIP!!

We were planning to move to a 55+ community and 980 sq ft were covered with carpet. Chris from Dan Higgins came within a few days and found a perfect match to 200 sq ft of flooring already laid. He gave us an estimate and within a week the wood was delivered and about 10 days later the floor was done. Everyone was polite, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Found them on Angie's List and have already recommended them to neighbors planning a similar job.

In January 2014, we had damage to our first floor due to pipe bursting in our powder room. From the very beginning, the sales team was responsive. They had previously installed the flooring to our house with former owners. They were able to find our records and new the type of materials that we had - unfortunately the hardwood floor was no longer offered, but they brought a current sample of equal value and priced out the cost for insurance company. We opted for an upgrade and continue the hardwood into two more rooms because the price was affordable and they offered a financing program. Higgins worked with me to schedule the installation around other work being completed at the same time. The crew actually installing the flooring was knowledgeable (answered all my questions prior to performing the work), friendly, and respectful of our home. My husband was even in office working while they installed and they offered him earplugs. I'm sure there are cheaper contractors and companies, but I think for the quality and the service that was provided, we got what we paid for and I am very happy with the results.

Dan Higgens Hardwood Flooring was great. We got 3 estimates and talked to one other in showroom. The two other estimates we got were not only quite a bit higher, but the salesman were very high pressure. Dan Higgen's people were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful and not high pressure. The sales, delivery and installation all went smoothly and they worked hard and did a great job, we are very happy.

We had Dan Higgins Hardwood Flooring install oak hardwood floors in our previous home in the kitchen, foyer, and both hallways in 2005; had them back in 2008 to install in the Living Room, Dining Room, Family Room, and Master Bedroom; and then had them install in three bedrooms to finish the entire house in November 2010. I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we have always had dealing with Dan Higgins Harwood Flooring. They are outstanding hardwood installers! They do beautiful work and are perfectionists. They install the correct way down to delivering the wood ahead of time so it can sit in your house a week or so and adjust to the temperature, which is why we never had a single problem with our floors separating or squeaking. In addition, they are professional, punctual, and friendly. They also do a great job cleaning when the job is complete and demonstrating how to maintain/clean your hardwood floors. They are priced fairly, not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. We appreciate Dan Higgins Hardwood Flooring even more now as we moved to a new home in late 2013 and had to use the builder’s flooring company, unfortunately not Dan Higgins. We have had so many issues with our floors from large separations between planks, to lifted planks, etc. If we were able to use Dan Higgins, I am confident we would have none of these issues. I highly recommend Dan Higgins for all of your hardwood floor needs.

It has been a long time since I had them come out and installed. After an year we noticed a large hump in the hallway. They were very professional about the entire situation, came out and explained the cause and fixed it for us. Very profession people and highly recommended. Very good quality workmanship.

This is the third time I have used Dan Higgins, again with excellent results. Dan Higgins sent an employee out to provide a pricing for the installation of hardwood floors I had picked out. The cost included the removal of existing rugs, installation of new hardwood floors, and painted shoe moulding in the master bedroom, two walk-in closets and another room. I picked a day for the installation (two days total for the size of the job) and was put on the schedule immediately. The installers arrived on time and ready to work on the scheduled day of installation. Both installers were very courteous and did a quick walk-thru with me to make sure they understood what I wanted (wanted to marry up hardwood in hallway to bedroom). The installers got through the complete installation in about a day and a half. The results were outstanding (as usually with Dan Higgins) and would (and have) recommend the company without hesitation. A few days after the floors were installed, I received a hand-written thank-you note from the owner - Dan Higgins. Job well done.

We had hardwood floors installed on most of our first andsecond floors and Dan Higgin's crew completed it in about five days. Their contractors were extremely skillled and did an excellent job. I would surely used them again.

The work is beautifully done in the end. There were some problems with one of the workmen, who left some details undone or not perfectly done, but Dan Higgins (the owner) personally saw to it that the job was finished perfectly at no extra cost to us. In fact they waived the cost of a custom-made piece by way of compensation for our trouble. I understand that the workman in question is no no longer with the company. This is a first-class outfit that knows their trade and is serious about doing a perfect job every time, at a competitive price. I can recommend them without reservation.
