In a word - WONDERFULLY! Frank and his staff were on time, on point, and completely professional. The original quote was $3,000 but we agreed on $3,500 because we weren't sure what would be behind the panelling in the living room. Well there was NOTHING behind the panelling but studs and insulation bags. So Frank and his team put in new dry wall and he called up and said the wall cost $800 at cost. He then said I was welcome to discuss it weith him because he wanted ot make sure we were happy and if I thought that was too much he'd be open to negotiate something we could both live with. So I'm thinking "$4,300 instead of $3,500...well...I budgeted $4,000 for the job so instead of being $500 ahead, I'm $300 behind." I was extremely happy with the job and said "no problem, bill me". Well I got the invoice...for $3,800! I had forgotten we padded by $500...but Frank didn't and was honest so I was STILL $200 to the good...which I'd happily use to buy them all dinner if they wanted since they were that good. Homeowners, do yourself a favor...call Frank, ask him questions, listen to the answers, and say "yes" and then get your checkbook. You'll be MORE than happy and NO STRESS!!! "Just Do It..."

They were prompt and professional. Finished in one day as promised.

They did some rooms very well in others areas were totally missed and the wallpaper in the hallway was not removed it was simply painted over. They claim there was a second layer of wallpaper underneath that would be hard to remove but I know there was only one layer of paper on the wall. Owner showed up for beginning of job but never returned when I had complaints about the work just sent his crew back in to redo it and things were still missed.They also said that if I was going to be living in the house instead of selling it due to a death in the family they would have did a better job and/or bid the job differently. Never heard of two different standards of work being used for a $7500 painting job. Cannot in good conscience recommend them for use to anyone.

Very well. I've used them before. The best thing about them is that they're the antithesis of the archetype of the contractor who fails to get back to you or disappears. Frank responds quickly when you contact him and promptly schedules a time to come by. He then gives you a very detailed quote of exactly what work will be done ? including photographs. He?s been able to schedule the work he?s done for me without much delay. Although he goes over the work to be done in some detail with his painters, the detailed quote serves them as well, I think, in clarifying exactly what?s to be done. Very good about responding to emails when and after work is done.

First of all I would like to say that the owner of this company Frank is very professional, reasonable and accommodating to the customer. He was punctual and readily available by phone at any hour of the day. His proposal package was impressive and contained pictures of the job description which I thought was excellent way to prevent confusion. Unfortunately Frank is not the painter and instead he hired a sub-contractor; a foreman and 2 assistant painters. The foreman was clearly trying to cut corners and get away with poor workmanship. After the first day I noticed that the foreman missed a few areas such as a section of the overhang, the back door and some areas of the siding. When I attempted to speak with the foreman he acted like he could not speak or understand English and when I spoke in Spanish with him, he acted like he did not understand either. I then called Frank who showed up on day 2 of the job and clarified with the foreman what needed to be painted. I quickly noticed that when the foreman spoke with Frank there was no language barrier and his English conversation seemed to be extremely adequate. After Frank left I noticed that the foreman was changing his story and now claimed to have already applied 2 coats of paint (in the back section of the house), when he just told Frank that there was only 1 coat completed on day one and that on day 2 he was going to apply the 2nd coat. When I courteously asked the foreman to please apply the 2nd coat of paint as was agreed, he clearly became upset and obstinate. It seemed as if the foreman became passive aggressive and proceeded to use a roller in a diagonal manner to paint the siding, which resulted in only 40-50% of the paint reaching the siding. When I pointed this out to the foreman he became angry and told me that he did not care what I thought and that he was going to do what he wanted. He proceeded to paint in a very sloppy manner and got paint onto the flashing. Then the foreman was argumentative with me about applying 2 coats of paint to an area of the overhang measuring approximately 4 inches by 36 ins, when I personally watched his assistant only apply 1 coat of paint. At this point I was completely uncomfortable as I did not think I was dealing with a reasonable adult. I decided to call Frank again to explain the problem and Frank immediately called the foreman and apparently rectified the matter, as the foreman's attitude changed completely. The foreman proceeded to apply the second coat of paint to the areas of the siding as was written in the contract and at the end even asked me if I was satisfied with the final product. In the end, if it weren't for Frank interceding twice during this 2 day job, as well as my watching the painters on day 2, this project would have been a complete disaster. At the end of the project Frank called me to discuss the matter and he apologized for the horrible experience I had. He was very respectful and showed excellent customer service in our discussion. The only comment he made that I felt was a bit unfair was his statement that I was the type of customer with attention to detail. I did not think my standards were unreasonable to expect that the second coat of paint would cover more than 40% of the siding. Overall in the end, the actual paint job was very good, but the process was extremely unpleasant for me. Frank's customer service is excellent and I would hire his company again, however I would make sure he sent a different work crew.

Quick to respond and the actual owner takes time to reach out. Great customer service skills.

I generally do not write reviews, but I feel compelled to write this one. My experience with Certapro was outstanding. Frank was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I got three quotes from painters rated highly on Angies List. Certapro was not the most or least expensive. They were the only provider that photographed the house and provided a full color illustrated quote of exactly what and what would not be painted. They did not pressure me in a way that made me uncomfortable and did not ask for any payment at all in advance of the full completion of the job. They provided ample references in my area where I could see their work. One of these was three houses down the street from me and the owner of that property highly recommended them. I could see for myself that the work look very good before making any decision for my home. The work was great, prompt, super fast and clean. The house looks great. I had a couple of small adjustments I wanted to have done after the job was completed and they were happy to take care of my concerns promptly. Every one we dealt with from the company was a pleasure to deal with, from the front office to the painters. Excellent comminication from quote thru to completion. I would use them again anytime and am happy to provide a testament to my good experience.

I sent the colors to the salesman Mon April 28th. I received a call later that week stating the job would start on Monday May 5th. On Monday May 5th, the contractors showed up with the wrong ladder. They did not know I had a three story house. I was told they would get a ladder and return to start prep work. They returned around noon with a ladder, but had to leave to perform another job. I was told they would prep on Tues. I asked my sales rep to meet me in the morning to review our contract with the team to ensure we were all on the same page with the work to be performed. He called and said he was going to be late, then he never showed up. The contractors also didn't show up. Finally I received word that they would start Wed and that the price of the work was going to be more due to the additional colors I wanted. I could have been told this a week earlier. I was being lied to time and time again. I had enough and cancelled the deal.

I spent $3500 and it included the paint, the service, and they did a lot of 5:10-5:11, and paint colors for me. I like them.

We had a great experience. Frank was on time for our consultation, and provided a thorough, written quote. He answered all of my questions, and answered a lot of questions I didn't even know I had. He explained the entire process, and outlined it in the contract, brought color swatches for me to look at, and dropped off samples for us to put up on the walls, to make sure the colors were what we were looking for. The team that painted were polite, respectful, and thorough. They made sure everything was covered, and cleaned up everything at the end of the second day. All in all, I was very impressed with the paint job and the overall service, and will absolutely use.

Frank was great to work with. He showed up on time for the consultation, offered great color suggestions and competitive pricing. His team showed up on time everyday and cleaned up after themselves. All furniture was put back in its place at the end of the day. Frank showed up each day to inspect the progress and followed up with a phone call. They were able to complete the job in half the time originally estimated. I would use Frank and his team again in the future.

Frank, who owns this local franchise of Certa Pro painters, was very responsive in setting up a time for the free, comprehensive appraisal and he continued to monitor the progress of the painting on a daily basis. The cost of the painting project was fair and on the low end of several other appraisals I received during my pre-research. The fact that Frank has several painting crews to choose from meant that I was able to have the painting done almost immediately, a nice feature which small painting companies with only one or two painters cannot match as they generally have long-waiting lists. The two-man crew I had was led by Wilson and he and his helper did an excellent job of clean-up and took extra care around the large shrubs and bushes I have in front of my house. I would use CertaPro painters again, especially if Frank is still running things.

Frank responded to my free estimate of paint request online. Actually, their web site is very efficient to book an appointment online. He came over and measured all the rooms and gave a thorough written estimate. I liked the fact that he laid out all the rooms and doors/windows and explained the warranty and other details. I got estimates from two other painters but they were bit higher and they did not respond for a week or two. When I decided to go with CertaPro, Frank came with samples so that I can see how they look in my home. The paint crew was very good and arrived on time everyday. They were very professional and understanding. Total job duration was around 5 days; just as was quoted. I am very happy with their quality of work. Other good part was that I did not have to pay anything until the job was done. Frank followed up after that week and asked me if everything went well. A great experience.

I liked that CertaPro Painters of Clifton were available immediately and got the job done immediately. The workers were okay. They're average painters. They're not high end painters.

The skim coating of walls was done with great skill. The workers were punctual and polite. There were times when we requested that details be done to a higher level such as the straightness of lines on edges and each of our requests were promptly performed to our particular preferences. One of the things that we liked about Certa-Pro was that no down payment was required until the job was done to our satisfaction. This gave us a safety net and leverage to bring the job to our specifications without any tension or worry. We had several estimates and all other painters had higher prices and the requirement of a down payment before the work began. None of the other painters was as detail oriented in their initial proposal. We found Frank Mai who made the proposal to be professional and continually present with follow-up to make sure that the work was down to our satisfaction. The painters, Junior and Miguel, were polite and hard working.

Excellent experience. Frank came to my house to give us an estimate. He reviewed our house, took pictures and in a matter of minutes gave us a print out with the pictures, explaining what had to be done and the cost of the work. No pressure, he called back 4 days later and we agreed to go with his company. He was there the following week and the work was done in a matter of 3 days. A job well done!

It was the best experience , I ever had with contractors. Appointment was made at very convenience time. Frank came on time and we walked around the house. The price was fair, not the cheapest, but very competitive. We got pictures of all work areas. The painters arrived on time. No one was at home at the time of work . Everything was cleaned by the end of work daily. Inside and outside work was very accurate , on time(even faster , then I expected) and very professionally. Frank came and did an exhaustive estimate. He stepped outside and took a half-hour preparing a detailed description of the work they would do. I already had gotten several estimates ranging from less than $2,000 to about $6,000. With all the time he was taking, all the detail he offered, I dreaded seeing the estimate. I was sure it would be sky-high. When I saw it, I thought it was a typo: His estimate was the second- lowest of any I'd gotten. He showed me the company's guarantee - 2 years - and said he needed no payment up front, and accepts credit cards. He gave me an approximate start date, and said he would assign one crew who would do the entire job. The first price he quoted me to power-wash and seal the deck was $800. I told him I had another quote from someone who had done my deck some time before. That quote was $700, but if Frank would meet me halfway at $750, I'd have him do the job. He met me all the way - to $700. After I signed the contract, we were discussing colors and textures of paint. There were some small trim items that would take very little paint. I told him they were small enough and high enough off the ground that it really wasn't worth getting semi-gloss paint for them; flat would be fine. He insisted it was no trouble, that he didn't mind going the extra distance to do the job right. His crew arrived when they said they would and they did what they said they would. At every step, they went the extra mile. They built a makeshift canopy over the deck to protect the new sealant from the falling leaves. In the end, the job took appreciably longer than I believe he thought it would, but I never got the feeling he or his crew were trying to rush it. They were never hurried, never impatient. The result was very, very good. I noticed bubbles in the pain a few weeks later, and then the next year. (These things happen painting over wood clapboard.) Each time, he or one of his crews came, sanded the area down and repainted it. No delay, no hedging. Along the way, I noticed one trim item was not the color I wanted. It was my mistake - a dozen times, they'd asked me to check things over and be sure I was happy with the work and every time I was. I just forgot about what I'd wanted for that piece and never said anything. I offered to pay Frank an hourly rate to have his guys come and change it. He wouldn't take the money. They did it at no charge. I wouldn't hire anyone else to do paint work. He was conscientious, professional and punctual. And a very nice guy, on top of it all.

It was a good experience. Frank came and we walked around the house. He took pictures to show what he was going to do. The price was very fair. The workers arrived and worked tirelessly. When the house was finished, we notice two areas that we thought could have been sanded more. His question to us was simply, "What would make us happy?" When we told him He had his workers come back to scrape and sand those areas and repaint them. Because six of the shutters were worn, I ordered new custom made ones that came in around 2 weeks after they were finished painting the house. His workers came and primed and painted them and hung them up. This was all done without any additional fees being added on. I have no problem recommending this company.

The crew arrived on time and were respectful and professional. A detailed estimate was provided prior to the start of the job. Owner was professional and courteous and visited the job to make sure things were proceeding as planned. The crew cleaned up the work area prior to leaving. The paint looks fantastic as was completed quickly. ! used this painter earlier in the month to paint my upstairs bedrooms and will use them again in the future.

From the moment we called him, our interactions with Frank were extremely professional. He came out, looked over the project, asked us questions, then gave us a quote on the spot. He even took pictures of the areas in the quote so there was a visual "before" picture on the quote, which he printed out in color within minutes. We had the bad luck to contract the work right before a string of rainy days. They needed to come powerwash first, allow the shingles to dry, then stain them. But it just kept raining, making scheduling difficult. But the communication was excellent throughout. He let us know when he was planning to come, and he'd call again if it needed to be moved because of the weather. His team came and did the powerwash. They were very professional and we were overall satisfied, although in looking back we wish they'd made a bit more effort to move some things in the way like our bushes, so we do have a few color patches. They came back and stained and painted the kitchen window. The stain looked good, but I thought the kitchen window had absorbed the paint and that it really needed a second coat. Frank didn't hesitate in sending someone out to redo the paint and didn't expect payment until we were satisfied. We really appreciated that extra bit of professionalism. Overall, we had a great experience. Frank is very nice and professional, and it's clear that he wants to do right by his customers.

Everything went exactly as promised and the results were beyond my expectations.

He would suggest differentideas that I wouldn't have thought of without costing me more money.Frank was very responsive,returned all my calls in a timely manner when I couldn't reach him.They were on time and very neat. Owner Frank was terrific. Price was good. Would use them again.
