Description of Work: We have a leaky spigot valve inside a closet in the basement which feeds the outside water spigot. We thought it was a simple matter of just getting a plumber to replace this leaky spigot (cut pipe and remove bad section, install new pipe and new spigot). But the plumber we called came on time and told us he could not turn off the main water feed. We have to get the County or City Water Dep't. to come out and do that before he can do his work. The good news is that the plumber we called didn't charge us a "house call" fee. No charge! So for that I give him a grade of A on the pricing. He would not give us an estimate on the work even if he came back after the Water Company came out to fix the main shut-off valve. He said he had to wait to see what the job actually cost, then he would bill accordingly. It seems to me that since he's done hundreds of these types of repairs that he should have been able to give us a ballpark estimate. I'm skeptical of "I can't give you an estimate until after I do the work" kind of response. But, I'll call him again to come do the work after the main shut-off valve is fixed. There is no category for the personality or the personal experience of the encounter. I want to add here that it seemed like I was bothering this guy when I called him to schedule the appointment, and he gave almost no details over the phone, cut me off several times during our conversation. People/relational skills of this company - I would give a grade of "D". But, I'd still call him again because of the other factors already mentioned.

Description of Work: They did such a wonderful job after my first service call that I hired them do additional plumbing upgrades. Initially my shut off valves under the bathroom sink needed to be replaced. I then replaced a main water shut off valve; replaced a bathroom faucet; kitchen sink drain and upgraded hot and cold water shut off valves to washer machine.

Description of Work: Called in early January regarding a shower nozzle that needs replacing. I understand the job can be somewhat diffucult, I need to replace a thermostatic temperature control valve. I explained my situation in detail to a young woman who promised me a call back. I waited anxiously as we cannot use the shower presently. No one called back then or ever. I believe they saw the problem and didn't want to deal with it. My suggestion, only call with simple stuff : /

Description of Work: Problem: Kitchen Sink drain was leaking into the basement when sink was in use (same with dishwasher). Called numerous plumbers, didn't not get what I was looking for. A solution and a good price. Affordable Plumbing came out, assessed the problem. Provided a clear cut explanation on how to fix the kitchen sink drainage pipe. Provided a reasonable price. They got the job on the spot. They said it would take under 2 hours, and it did take under 2 hours. Professional fixed and repaired at a good price. They will be the first plumber I call next time I need one. Or a friend or family needs one.
