We have worked with Nuss for more than a decade, and they always do great work. They have integrity, and I have come to trust them for all of my home repair issues. The roofing job was no exception.

The overall quality of the work is very good and I'm satisfied, however they were so far behind on their scheduled completion date that I would be hesitant to use them again or recommend them to others. The remodel was on the only full bath in my home so it was very important to me that the job be completed quickly and within an approximate 2 week time frame. I specifically discussed this with the salesperson and was assured that since my bathroom was only 8 x 8 they could complete it in two weeks. When I reviewed the final contract which included delivery dates for start through completion I noticed that the job was scheduled to start on 7/23 and end on 8/17 which is well over two weeks. I raised my concern and was assured it was just a 'computer' error; the salesman adjusted the completion date on the contract to 8/6/2012. He and I initialed the modification to the contract. The first week of construction I was out of town on vacation which I planned to minimize the inconvenience of not having a full bath. When I returned the following Monday, I was shocked and disappointed that the only thing accomplished was the demolition and the installation of the bathtub. I expressed my concern to the lead carpenter and he explained that they didn't work on my job the entire week; they were pulled to work on another customer's job. I then called their office and spoke to the person scheduling work, he indicated that another customer had a problem and they left my job to fix her problem. I told him that it was unacceptable to me and that I didn't see how they were going to be able to finish my job by the end of the week as agreed to in the contract. Apparently the salesman didn't communicate the 'computer error/scheduling issue' back to the office because they were unaware of the revised/agreed upon terms. He also indicated that they always schedule three weeks for a bathroom remodel, so basically the salesperson lied to me. At this point my bathroom was in shambles so there wasn't much I could do other than complain about the progress. They continued to work part time on my job unless I called an complained, which I got tired of doing so I just stayed two weeks in a local hotel until the majority of the work was complete on 8/21/2012 They informed me on 8/1/2012 that the mosaic tile I selected for a border were broken when delivered and that they had to reorder them. I approved the reorder but I didn't expect it to take 7 weeks for the tile to arrive, had I known that I would have picked out a different mosaic tile. I had to call them numerous times to get an update on the status and it wasn't until I told them that if the tile wasn't in by 9/24/2012 I'd pick another tile off the shelf and they could install that as the border. The ordered tile arrived on 9/24/2012 on the slow boat from china or wherever. They finished the mosaic tile installation on 9/26/2012. The promised two week job was finally completed in nine and a half weeks, granted the bathroom was usable on 8/21/2012 but that was still two and a half weeks beyond what the contract stated and the salesperson promised.

Nuss Construction Co. did a pretty good job. They are expensive and they went over budget, but the quality of work was good.

I've hired them before to do the roof, and I just hired them again to put in a new powder room for us. They are so reliable and do such good work. They are willing to take jobs that aren't huge remodels, they are just going to do a little powder room for us now. I can trust them and they do complete the job, and do it well.

The final work cost more then the estiamte, one painter used the wrong paint and the ceilng had to be repainted but over all the work was done The only concern I had was that I was promised that all work would be done by Nuss employees not contractors and I found that was not the case. The sub contractors did not have the same commitment to a job well done as thess employees and it was easy to tell who was who.

After meeting with the sales representative/estimator in October 2011 we reviewed the schedule and determined that the work would have been an interruption to the up coming holidays. Also, the new roof would not have sealed properly in the cold weather. We called the Nuss representative again in April 2012 and he committed that the quoted price would not be effected and signed the contract of work and made the initial 10% payment. The scheduled start date was delayed due to the weather and was moved to the following week. Once started, the roof project went quickly and smoothly and was completed in a single day. The demolition portion took approx. 5 days including removal of all debris and we made another 80% payment . Once completed, we did expect a work completion inspection with a company representative but there was no communication. After approx 3 weeks we received an invoice for the last payment, and we contacted the sale representative expressing what we expected as far as the inspection and making of the final payment approx 10%. The small item we reviewed with the sales rep was taken care of immediately and were very satisfied.

They started when they said that they would start, and they were there everyday till it was completed. They incorporated a plumbing company and subcontracted to them, and their work was also excellent. I don’t remember the name of the electricians that they had come in, but they were wonderful too. In fact, they came back to install some light fixtures that we had ordered and hadn’t come in until about six weeks after it was completed. So, they came back and put it in. Their craftsmanship and everything about them, was topnotch. Even up to a year later, if there was something that we had a problem with, the foreman came back and corrected it. They were very reliable. They guided us through different things to choose for the kitchen and bathroom, and they would tell us when something was going to increase the cost of things, and what we chose was great.

I would never consider Nuss for any job.

They have a staff that answers the phone.They had very flexible hours with our crazy schedule.They meet with us during our selection process and guided us along the way.They have been in the area and the trade for years.There knowledge of the codes and their awareness of our township inspectors was very nice.They had someone assigned to our job that communicated with us when they would be in and out from start to finish. Do use Nuss Construction for your bathroom or kitchen project, Do your homework on any companies reputation and don't settle for something you don't like.

We were quite happy with their estimate, and their initial work. There was a follow up that took a while to reschedule. There was something additional we asked them to do, and there were some scheduling issues. The main job we were happy with. It was a major job. They were here when they said they would be. They did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves.

They did an excellent job. They were professional and they cleaned up everything after they were finished. They finished the job in a timely manner and stayed until the whole job was completed. They offered to come back to fix a little problem we had with the trim. They came back promptly and I have absolutely no complaints.

I wanted to go with them but my husband wanted to go with another company which we ended up going with and it was a disaster. We should have gone with Nuss Construction Co Inc. They were extremely professional. The gentleman that we met with was very knowledgeable. He had great ideas. He really knew what he was talking about. They were going to work to what we had as our budget which was around $25000 but there were certain things that we wanted done that we would not have been able to do if we went with them for that price. I would consider this company to give us a quote in the future.

From the beginning, we were very pleased with their designer. At the time we liked his change in cabinet and appliance placement but now, after the fact, I think the changes have improved the functionality of the kitchen and the appearance. And it actually looks much bigger. He set up an excellent schedule for the the whole design process and went with us to the various vendors of the materials we needed. We had some ideas initially but we learned to trust his excellent taste whenever we were confused with the many choices. The actual job itself was organized and scheduled as well as the design part. All the people in our house made every effort to help us mange through the confusion. They were as clean and neat as possible and did a great cleanup at the end of every day. The workmanship was of high quality and we are totally pleased with the results.

The estimate was for $30,000. They seemed very reputable and were very informative. Their estimate was a bit high. They were fine. They did the job very well. We may consider them for a quote in the future if needed.

Their price was a little high so we didn?t use them. We had them do work on our house about 15 years ago but now I felt like their price was about $2,000 too high for my liking. They were very courteous and he called in plenty of time when he knew he was going to be late. They were very professional and they answered all of our questions.

Everyone from Nuss was wonderful. They gave us great ideas through the process and their workmanship as impeccable. They communicated with us daily and handled all aspects of the job, including recommending specialists for the heating/air conditioning and audio visual and coordinating these contractors' efforts. I would highly recommend them for any job, large or small.
