CLEMMENS MOVING

Extremely bad experience. Crew was unprofessional, everything was completely packed, organized and ready to go, yet the job took many, many hours longer than was estimated and then they tried to charge me an extra $500. Items were actually stolen! Before they had driven away, I found one item on the truck and when I asked them for it, they tried to tell me it was theirs. Some of  our items were broken, at least 5 pieces of furniture were nicked, 4 pieces (with drawers,) no longer function like they did - drawers won't slide out smoothly etc. Apparently, they didn't use blankets or protect anything. They damaged the home I moved into, gouging walls and door frames. I saw them drop a piece of furniture on the front steps and they broke the corners off of another piece - and handed it to me! (Oh well!) Two guys asked for food and drinks  - and complained when i told them I couldn't find any cups. Afterwards I contacted the owner and he was rude and unresponsive, ultimately denying everything I said and outright lying. No apologies, no nothing. In the end he offered $220 for damages and lost items. (Really?) The crew stole and treated my belongings like trash. No regard for my items and they steal and the owner condones it. Everyday as I look around I see evidence of teh poor choice I made in hiring Clemmens. I feel like everything I own is damaged or broken.

Overall, a great experience. 
Dave Clemmens, the owner, came out to do the estimate.  He arrived early, was personable, and encouraged us to get other quotes. He also said that if we got a better quote, he wanted to know.  We called around and got one or two other quotes (over phone).  Dave's quote was pretty reasonable.  Due to scheduling, the movers came on a Sunday.
Five (!) movers arrived on time on Sunday morning.  They were very courteous and friendly (and as the day went on - very funny).  They formed an assembly line and moved our stuff out in 3 hours.  They moved our stuff into our new house in about 2 hours.
The move took about an hour longer than we were quoted, but Dave honored our original quote, which I found very admirable.  I gave what I estimated as the extra hour to the movers as a larger tip. 
Hopefully we won't move again or for a very long time.  But if we do, I'll use them again.  Also - I would use them for short delivery trips.

My daughter has a terrible experience with Clemmens Moving, it took them two hours to move some things back and forth to the truck with the two guys standing and waiting, and she was paying these guys by the hour. These guys has literally zero experience, zero brain cells, zero energy, everything they've done has taken three times longer than a normal mover. My daughter was very distressed with the experience she had with this provider.

I have used their services before about 7 years ago. They provided good service both times. They do a good job, take their time, and they are no hidden fees.
