First I ordered 10 yards of wood chips for my backyard. I just called and ordered them with my credit card over the phone. They were delivered within an hour, dumped on my driveway with no problems. My husband and I spread them ourselves. About a month later I went in and looked at the flagstone. I selected the pallet I wanted, paid, and again they delivered same day. When the truck arrived I noticed it didn't have one of those little pallet lowering smaller machines like the Lowe's truck has. I inquired with the driver how this was going to work. He said he was just going to dump the pallet onto my (new) asphalt driveway. I asked him if that was going to hurt the driveway because it certainly seemed like it would to me. He said it would be fine and that he did it all the time. That the pallet would split open and it would be easier to get the flagstone out. Okay. A few weeks later we finished moving all the pieces of flagstone and cleaned up the area only to find that there was a big gauge in our asphalt. My husband contacted Axten's and they were VERY apologetic, offering to pay to have it repaired. I got an estimate and was told that there was no great/permanent way to fill in the gauge and that it would look worse if they cut out the area and patched it because you would see the patch. So we had it filled in before we had the whole thing seal coated. My husband kind of forgot about it and never called Axten's back. A few months later we got a call from THEM asking if it would be okay if they delivered a FREE pallet of flagstone for all our trouble. Very professional. They went above and beyond to make things right and I refer people to them all the time.

Stopped by - asked for in-home quote. 4 weeks passed by. Called again to see if they were still coming. 4 weeks after that, someone came to my home. Estimate was to grade an approx. 20 x 40 area, add playground mulch to a portion, make a flower bed, plant a tree, etc. They wanted to do pavers and weren't really interested because it wasn't a big enough job. Never even received estimate. They must be very busy and that's good - but only call them if you have a $20,000 job.
