Let the buyer beware. They came out to swap out what we thought was a faulty outlet, and replace a bathroom fan, and told us the power to the outlet was non-existent, but he couldn't figure out where the disruption in service was. The first fellow who came couldn't solve the problem. He seemed nice enough, but a bit of a bumbler. He was here for two hours without being able to find the problem. He told us he would have to come back with a larger crew to run 'further diagnostics' the next day. He said he was sent out because he was told that the job would be simple, which of course, spoke volumes about his level of experience. He spent most of the time here looking stumped. The larger crew was HIS choice, but, we were charged for the extra people. Not fair. As it was, it took US to find the faulty electrical box in the closet after he left, something he couldn't see to find on his own, even though it was pretty obvious to us. When 'the crew' returned, we pointed it out, and that was what they needed to find. It took minutes to fix the wiring. The icing on the cake was when we asked them to install a new fan in the bathroom. They claimed, and this is our fault for not looking when they were up there, that the one we had bought wasn't going to fit, and that they 'had one on the truck.' Well, being charged 100 bucks for a fan that retails for 15 bucks at Lowes was just, awful. And no, that 100 was just for the FAN not for the installation. They left after about a half hour of work time. I have never, ever had an experience with a business where we were mailed a bill (and had an unfair amount charged) days AFTER the service was rendered, leaving us at a disadvantage when it came to disputing the amount. As they were leaving we tried twice to find out what the estimated amount would be, but were pushed off, and told they had to submit "paperwork first." ***? And, on top of that, we had to call the business to get an itemized version, which is highly unusual not to be provided up front. On top of that, we weren't told when we called initially that there would be a travel charge. This is also unusual. Most businesses will be honest and say that in order to come up, they would need to add to bill for travel. All told, I'd never use them again, or recommend them to anyone, based on this practice of not giving a bill to the customer at the time the service was rendered, as well as the exorbitant charges..
Description of Work: Faulty outlet repaired, faulty bathroom fan replaced.

First the estimate appointment was scheduled at 8am on Wednesday (5/29/13). At 8am, Tony called he couldn't make it, it has to be delayed to 8:30 or 8:45am. Since I have to attend a meeting on that morning, so we rescheduled to 8am this morning (5/31/13). Nobody from Caro Electric showed up, Nobody from Caro Electric even called! It's just purely NO SHOW. How can a company do business in this way. It's absolutely not acceptable! I will not use a company with this kind of practices. Take my advise - Stay away from this company!!!

Since Hurricane Sandy the demand for fulltime standby generators has increased. Tony and Vito took us through all the steps, answered all our questions and and submitted a detailed written proposal. Tony showed us how we could save money by purchasing a smaller 'managed' house system instead of a large whole house generator. With the 14kw managed system we can run just about everything in our 2200 sq ft house including the AC. Communicating with Caro is a pleasure. They return calls, emails, etc. We are very satisfied with the installation and the price we paid.
Description of Work: Vito and Tony Carissimo have done a lot of work for us. Such as taking our overhead street wires and creating an underground conduit for all our services. Most recently, we had them install a fulltime natural gas standby generator to manage our electrical needs during blackouts.
