They arrived on time, & completed the job in 2 days. They protected all of our floors leading up to the room including our stairs. Our bathroom literally looks completely brand new! We would definitely have them back.

I love them, they are absolutely excellent. I had four estimates and theirs was the best and I went with them because I thought their quality and approach were the best. I've had a lot of work done with them.

Erick from wilber's painting did an excellent job. Their estimate was very reasonable relative to other paint contractors, and they were quick, efficient and did a fabulous job. Eric and his crew were always on time, extremely professional, very neat and everything was beautifully done. Would hire Wilber's painting again in a heartbeat. Prices were a little higher than other estimates, but when Danny arrived to give me an estimate for Wilber's - I just got a good vibe off of him and found him extremely professional as well. So, we made the right decision. The construction Co. that I had used (prior) left both the walls and ceilings in terrible condition. Wilbers made them look like everything was brand new. Highly recommend.

As it happens, Wilber's Painting has skilled carpenters on staff who are competent, experienced, and committed to old world craftsmanship. Our good fortune was getting Maynor, a highly talented carpenter, who constructed and installed the door, which is quite attractive. The installation was tricky because the 90 year-old frame was not perfectly squared but he managed to get the right fit. Mahogany was used for the door frame and safety glass for the insert. I opted not to have a screen insert, so the glass is a permanent fixture.

The men were experienced, professional, courteous and competent.

They were amazing! The job is beautiful. The workers were responsible, timely, fast, clean, polite, pleasant, informative and helpful. We couldn't be happier. They made sure that every detail is perfect.

We had obtained 3 bids from local companies. Wilber's was in the middle. We picked them because of impression we got on their interest in the job and professionalism. Danny did the estimate. Most of the infraction we had was with Melvin who acted as foreman. The interaction with him and his willingness to do a perfect job with his crew was outstanding. Although they underestimated the amount of work it would take to do the deck part they did overall an excellent job. Initially they tried to only chemically strip the deck and power wash. However power washing the red cedar was not the best idea. Ultimately they had to sand down the deck and railings completely to repair damage from power washing and to prepare for the stain. They also worked though weekends to get the job done and make best use of the variable weather in April. We would recommend Wilber's and use them again.

They were great! Pricing was fair, the team was on time, let us know when they would arrive (and did), were meticulous in the job and cleaning up and were professional. The best painting team we have ever had! On top of that, they were nice guys. A pleasure to work with.

Exactly as a professional painting job should be done. arrived right on time, introduced themselves. Asked about little things like "which picture hooks do want to keep or remove?" Covered and sealed all furniture that had to remain in the room with plastic. Covered and taped all exposed wood flooring with heavy paper. All ceiling, window & door trim was carefully taped. 90 year old plaster walls were skimmed with plaster to even out cracks, Sealed all openings with plastic while they sanded with a vacuum based sander. Minimal dust found its way to adjoining rooms. all walls and ceilings primed with one coat, then 2 coats of paint. When all painting was complete, full cleanup began, including wiping down residual dust from woodwork, window sills, etc. Furniture was returned to its original location, curtain rods were hung, etc. They conducted a final walk through with us to verify all was as we expected. 2 things stood out 1) the focus on preparing the site BEFORE painting. 2/3 of the 3 day job were dedicated to cleaning the surfaces, fixing defects, protecting furniture and floors. 2) the professionalism of the crew. Alberto, Jose, Jonathan and Andy were a pleasure to have in our home. Polite, efficient, helpful, busy. Will definitely work with them again.

Wilber's painting was very responsive to my needs and time table. Nikki came over to review the job and provide an estimate. I received a phone call to confirm the time and location and Nikki arrived promptly at the time agreed. I was sent a professional and complete estimate within the time agreed. Once I agreed to the estimate and scheduled the start of the job, the workers arrived on time, were professional and curious. The made sure to protect all the surfaces from dust and paint and cleaned the job site when done. The job was completed earlier than estimated. The completed job workmanship was excellent. I will certainly use Wilber's Painting in the future.

They were good. They were excellent.

The painting of our deck had been botched by a different contractor. The paint on the horizontal surface needed to be stripped, primed, and repainted. Wilber's initially forgot the primer, but without hesitation, stripped the coat they had put down and started over. The entire job of one coat of primer and two coats of paint was completed quickly and, to my eye, done well. I had a large grill, which they worked around by alternating sections that they painted. They patched a few places where the wood had rotted without additional cost. The final invoice they presented was wrong, but their workers took my word for it and said they would call if their was a problem.

We've used them multiple times throughout the year. They do excellent and quality work.

Wilbur's Painting does not represent the integrity and community that is Maplewood. Wilbur's crew is accused of backing into our vehicle and causing damage. Multiple neighbors corroborated the event, in addition to it being a common occurrence on the street in the same fashion in which the likely event occurred, also corroborated. With Wilbur's crews and multiple trucks, cars and vans backing in and out of the driveway 20+ times per day, its easy to conclude the scenario that played out. The most disturbing to Maplewood residents, is that a prominent business in the town is avoiding, denying and blatantly ignoring any and all attempts made to address an issue that was respectfully raised direct with them. Maplewood residents deserve better, this is not the type of integrity and responsibility we expect from a business in our community. Maplewood residents expect their neighbors to do the right thing. By ignoring my initial calls and personal visits to the business to address the matter, and refusal to acknowledge any potential fault, Wilbur's seems to be a shady shop, out for their next job, with no acknowledgement of and appreciation for the community it lives and works in.

Wilber came to meet with us personally two times at our convenience. He walked around our house with us, gave a very detailed inspection, and listened to our concerns. Wilber was extremely pleasant and was not pushy in the least. It also didn't hurt that his pricing was reasonable. I'm sure there are cheaper, lower quality options in the area, but Wilber put us at ease. Our crew -- Cesar and the Victors -- were at our house for three weeks working 10-12 hour days and were nothing other than pleasant and friendly. We appreciated that the guys would move the their work to areas of our house away from our sleeping daughter when asked, and that they were patient with our color trials, as we tried around 20 samples until we found the right color pallette. They also hand painted every window frame and every one of our triple-track storm windows. One of the Victors replaced and reglazed a broken window lite, and they even took care of getting two smashed storm windows (my accident, not theirs) repaired. It was also convenient that another one of the Victors was a carpenter and was able to give us a reasonable quote for rotted wood replacement during the painting process. We couldn't be happier with the work, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Victor and his crew.

Excellent job.....powerwashing was very good.....prep work for painting was very thorough, they used high quality paint and stains, and were very available to go over things and quick to respond to our concerns....very hardworking crew.....plenty of people on the job....work completed in a timely and professional manner...they also did a repair to the front porch steps at a reasonable price.

Not Good - the two men who worked on my deck originally did one stain for the whole deck -- the problem was that 98% of the deck was old wood and two of the planks were the new wood. The new wood took the stain differently than the old wood. The men did nothing to age out the stain for the two new planks and left my deck with a glaring difference in color from the new wood to the old wood. It looked ridiculous and on top of it the stain was not even and you could see the lines from where they stopped and where they started up again. I had to bring the owner back and he wasn't apologetic he just said his men will come back to fix the problem. They had to come back 2x more to get the stain right. Finally once it was all done they put my deck furniture back on the deck and left footprints all over my deck. When I complained the office staff could care less and just told me to wash it off. Firstly the footprints were paint and not easily washed off and secondly why should I do it when their men left the prints. I left several messages for Wilbur but he never returned my call. I will never use them again. Terrible follow thru and with a staff of 68 Wilbur cannot manage his staff properly.

This was THE most professional, quality work we have ever had done...In addition, the house looks wonderful, and I have had many people ask me who the painters were. Magic is happening in New Jersey, folks! The work also required carpentry. I can hardly see where the carpenter restored shingles and other areas on this 60 year old house. They went to great lengths to get an exact paint match on the previous color which had been discontinued...it seemed no request was too small....I almost hate to tell you how much we loved this company lest they be unavailable when we have them paint the entire interior, our next project. Thank you Wilbur for the fine work..for making it so easy and headache free!

Excellent. All our phone calls were returned promptly. The estimate was very competitive and detailed. The crew arrived on time every day and everything was done as promised and with no messes or problems. They even went out of their way to take care many small extras that were not in the contract- a pleasant surprise. The finished job looks great and we are very happy. This company is very professional and detail oriented and we highly recommend them.

I have no complaints. Wilber Vargas who did the estimate was very professional. Of all the estimates I got he was the only person to correctly identify the holes in my house as the work of a wood ******. It suggests to me that he has a lot of very intimate knowledge of house siding. The office staff was very responsive. I had to call one day to tell them that there was a power outage and other days to co-ordinate a family emergency. They were always on the ball, keeping everyone informed. The work was very thorough. They sanded the house down to 80% wood. My neighbor, who is a connoisseur of home improvement, said she had never seen such a thorough job and is planning to hire them herself. The workers were very polite and easy to deal with. I want to specially commend the manager of the team, Melvin, who was very competent and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately we had a family emergency during the period when the house was being painted, and Melvin, rather heroically managed to work around our limited availability, which can't have been easy. But he was very gracious and kind about it. After the job was completed and we had already signed off on it, Wilber paid us another visit just to make sure we were perfectly happy, which we were, and to remind us that there is a 5 year warranty on the work. I highly recommend Wilber's Painting.
