Wilber's Painting

The estimate was reasonable and they did a great job. One technician came out for the estimate. He was very courteous and professional. I have seen some of their work and I really like what I have seen. I had no problem scheduling the estimate.

The service went well. Three painters came out and completed the job in about 4 days. They did an okay job, but I feel like the paint is kind of peeling off now. They were very nice and friendly. They were great with the cleanup after the job. They were not able to find the right color for the door, however.

Everything went well, cant complain. 2 separate jobs but both people arrived on time and finished on time. Very good price as well.

After witnessing firsthand the work completed on a neighbor's house two doors away, I decided to call Wilber's to paint the exterior of my home. I was not surprised on finding an "A" rating for this company on Angie's List, and two days later, Danny, the estimator and foreman appeared, ipad in hand, and ready to work. Pleasant, affable and professional, we walked the property together, as I pointed out a few trouble spots that needed particular attention. After insuring that I had no other questions or concerns, he left the premises with the promise of rapid response and forthcoming estimate. A day later, I was emailed the estimate and contract, along with a follow-up phone call to schedule the actual work. Two days later, I received another phone call stating that " they could move up my start time by two weeks". My wife and I were thrilled, and true to their word, Danny and the crew appeared on the appointed day, and went directly to work. Laying heavy tarps to protect the environs, they scraped the entire house in a few hours, and applied the primer coat within "24" hours. A day later, they completed the work and Danny called again to schedule a "walkthrough" to insure that I was satisfied. Just today, September 23, a small crew arrived to clean up a few spots of paint on my stone patio, and all is well here! I should also mention that prior to the job, Danny shared Wilber's work ethic with me, and his company's growth and success over the past fifteen years. I totally understand the reasons for his success....he cares passionately about customer satisfaction. Wilber, we are satisfied, and will be calling soon for more work...this time in the interior of the house! Your staff, including the wonderful ladies in the office, are caring, considerate and treated us like members of the family!

I liked them a lot. They worked hard and longer than i expected. They were real professional.

I had contacted this provider about power washing the back of my house, power washing my back steps and staining my back steps. I had to hire another contractor to pave my driveway where these steps are located. I asked this contractor and the contractor who paved my driveway what work should be performed first: paving the driveway or staining the steps. Both contractors agreed that I should have the paving work done first. Wilber told me that after I had the paving work done to call him after the driveway was paved and he would do the work. We had already agreed on the price for this. I had my driveway paved and contacted him to do the power washing and staining. I spoke to him after the driveway was paved and he said he would contact me about setting up a time to start the work. He never called me. After waiting a week, I called him 2 times left messages and sent him an e-mail and he never returned my phone calls or responded to my e-mail. If he had decided he no longer wanted to do this job he should have acted like a professional and returned my phone call or responded to my e-mail.

Nikki came by to perform an estimate. She was extremely thorough and obviously familiar with the process. When their estimate came in I thought it was high at the time. I then sought out alternatives and that was a mistake. Someone agreed to do it at less than half the price and almost ruined the doors. After going back to Wilber's to get the job done right, I was pleased to see I finally had a professional on the job. Julio, did an excellent job. Turns out the exterior portion of my seemingly wooden door is made of fiberglass. It was a long involved process to remove, strip, sand, stain and seal the doors over several days. It cost a deal more than I originally expected, but to be fair it was a highly involved process and they did the job right. My doors look fantastic. I'd definitely use them again.

Mr Wilber himself coordinated all the work. The team was punctual, reliable, finished the job on time. Mr Wilber was very easy to communicate with, he remembered everything we asked them to do and followed up. Very professional, hard working and pleasant. We will use them again in the future (with an older house there are many things that need fixing).

They are really great, absolutely pleased with everything they have done for me.Very fast with their work.

Hugo and his assistant did an excellent job. Very professional and punctual and made sure everything was working perfectly. We have used Wilber a few times now and have been very satisfied with the quality of their work.

It went great! The project manager was great and on time. He follows through with all promises he makes with his customers. The company workers also had a lot of integrity. I had to leave my home all day and felt very comfortable with leaving them in my home. They were very thorough with all of their work and very efficient as well. They are very passionate about their jobs and it shows through their work. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves and were wonderful painters. This company was a pleasure to work with!

It went fairly well with some issues. I explained what the issues were and they came back and fixed them. They also did a great job repairing my garage doors. Very satisfied with the work performed.

Superior job! Very thorough & detailed in both prep phase & painting. We used 5 different colors on our home which has extensive trim in front. The crew was very careful, thorough and skilled in prep & painting. Power wash included my front steps & walk which i did not expect. Crew trimmed bushes & ivy to better sand, prep & paint siding. Crew added caulk around newer windows installed 2 years ago to fill in gaps before painting. Crew supervision excellent while workmen really knew their jobs and needed little direction. Excellent cleanup each day. When temp outside too warm, crew waited until near sundown to prime & paint sun exposed sides of house to let paint dry properly. I would highly recommend this firm for future work. One of the very best vendors i have worked with.

They offered a 5% discount for being an Angie's List member. They started and completed the job on time. They were dependable and finished when they estimated. The quality of the work was great and the manager was very efficient. I really have no complaints. I would recommend them.

They had good feedback and the quote was within the range. Their service was fine.

Excellent!! Both bedrooms were very bad. The worst of the two rooms, the walls were cracked with holes, their were lumps in the plaster just aweful! Wilber skim coated the walls and no exaggeration the walls look like I had them gutted and replaced with sheet rock!

The job took 3 days, but the work is beautiful. We used to have bulging walls, but now they are smooth & bubble free. Wilber's used top quality Benjamin Moore paint. His workmen were very polite & professional & they cleaned up after themselves every day they were there. I would not hesitate to recommend Wilber's Painting or to use them again.

They are supposed to put the primary and two coats of paint, they did the primary and one coat and they are supposed to come back this spring and I haven't heard from them. I have to call them but I shouldn't have to call them. Since they started out Wilber himself is very pleasant and very professional.

I went with Wilbur b/c he explained in detail his process and he seemed very knowledgeable (also experienced!) He met with us personally to discuss the job and explain everything. He was less about making a pitch, which was refreshing. Other companies were not going to remove all of the paint from our cedar shakes b/c the paint underneath was lead. I was happy to hear Wilbur tell me they have hepa vacuums and they cover all the windows/doors and work under a tarp. The work went very quickly. They started on time, cleaned up each day and removed all paint in two days. They moved right into priming and were very accommodating with letting us request color test samples. The painting also moved very quickly and they listened to our requests if we wanted a certain area fixed. They were really great workers and easy to work with. After the job was done we did a walk through and I made a final payment. Carpentry included it was only seven working days! About a week later i got a call from the office that they wanted me to leave the paint outside. The project manager had inspected the job and wanted a few things fixed. I was happy already with the job, I was impressed with their thoroughness. I'd love to use them again in the future!

From start to finish we were very satisfied with the service. We were given a fair estimate last fall, but held off doing the work until the spring and warmer weather. The job took three days, and throughout this time the crew was punctual and professional and took obvious pride in their work. We would very much recommend Wilber's to other potential customers.

They did an excellent job, paint and trim look great. They were punctual and used high quality paint. They did an excellent job of clean up and there were no hidden or unexpected costs other than woodwork which we had been advised of in advance. Very professional and courteous. Would highly recommend. Will follow up in a year relative to any (unexpected) chipping or cracking and any service calls. But so far very satisfied.

Wilber and Victor were pretty detailed in their review of what we needed to be accomplish, how they proceed, etc. I appreciated their concern on checking with the city to confirm permit requirements before starting our project. It demonstrates that they run an ethical business vs. circumventing laws. The quotes they provided (one for painting and the other for carpentry) was detailed, clear and competitive (to another vendor we looked at) so we didn't feel like we were going to be taken advantage of. This will go a long way when considering them for future projects. We also didn't feel pressured with frequent phone calls or e-mails to make a decision. That's always a plus. After careful consideration we decided that in the long run it would be worth the extra money to re-side our house vs. painting. Particularly, since even using quality paint we would more than likely face re-painting in less than 12-15 years. Furthermore, due to the disrepair of our house it wasn?t going to be just a paint job. Given the considerable amount of work that remains to fully restore our house it just became a no brainer for us to invest in siding then to possibly re-do a paint job. I will not forget to call on Wilber and Victor in the future for some of the remaining painting work on the interior of our house.

The sales woman, Nikki, was excellent in checking out the job and determining price. It was very reasonable considering the size of the job. The painters took a lot of time to repair our walls prior to painting. The walls have never looked this smooth in our house. They did a professional job painting walls, trim, ceilings, and they applied stain to our new railing. Everything turned out great and I will definitely go with Wilbur's again soon!

Wilber's responded to our initial call immediately, set up an appointment for an estimator to come to the house, and called back to remind us the estimator was coming. She arrived on time, took measurements and listened as we explained the scope of work. She dropped off a written estimate, quite detailed, that covered all the work we needed. It was a relatively small job, in the dead of winter, but they handled it with great care. We were ready to move fast and by the end of the week, the carpenter, Hugo Humana, was at our door, as promised, at 8:30 a.m. He laid down tarps, and got to work immediately. The ceiling was up in a day. We had picked out a crown moulding, which he was supposed to buy. He did go to the big box store and priced our moulding but came back to say that there was a problem. The moulding we selected only came in 12 foot lengths. For our room he needed over 13 linear feet. He explained that no matter how carefully he made the joint, there was no way the shorter moulding would look as good as one with a full 13 foot run. He said he knew where to get a longer moulding stock, very much like the one we selected, and was willing to make the trip himself. We very much appreciated his honesty and his suggestion. He bought the longer moulding, installed it quickly and professionally, and came back three times to complete the sanding and subsequent coatings on the sheetrock ceiling and the plaster walls. We were very happy with the results.

My experience went well. The staff was professional and friendly while visiting. They were good with the cleanup afterwards. However, I had more issues with the carpentry than the painting service.
