Professional Craftsmen Joe and his sons are very good to work with. Communication was clear and appointments were kept. Joe and his sons did three seperate projects at my home and I would use his services again. All of the work was high quality, done efficiently and within the time Joe said it would take.

From the moment I called and Joe answered he was attentive and reassuring the whole way. We had a contractor not deliver and we were going to not have a place to live. Joe and his crew came in and not only finished the house as quoted but also got the job done 3 weeks early. All Inc time to move in the day my wife came home from the hospital with our second child! We owe them everything.

Better than we could have imagined. Our kitchen had some issues and Joe had some great ideas. His crew are all family members so you don't have to worry about leaving strangers in your home while at work. Also, they went above and beyond to make sure our kitchen was ready by xmas, putting in a few long days.

Joe did excellent work for us. Not only is his work top quality, but he is also courteous, trustworthy, and really easy to work with. He does what he says he will, and when he says he will. Those are hard qualities to find nowadays. Perhaps what I like most is his responsiveness. He always answers my questions promptly and in detail, and always takes the time to explain things. We're extremely pleased with everything and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Joe and his crew did a great job. Joe came out a couple times to review the necessary work and provide the estimate. Joe, Anthony, and Tom did the work and we are so happy. They were all professional and meticulous in the detail. We are very happy and will reach out to Joe again when we are ready to tackle the next jobs!

Everything went great, he is very understanding and will work with your ideas good or bad. His workers were always on time and never had issues of waiting around. Mark and his crew were on site for three months.

He was professional clean cut, responsive to my needs, no nonsense and no pressure. I really wanted to do business with Joe unfortunately having to get a variance and all the hassles and expense involved with getting the variance I opted to have a mason repair the steps. I was however so impressed with Joe's professionalism I have already asked him to give me an estimate on some other work we need done. I would not have hesitated to hire him for the porch if it wasn't for the zoning issues.

Joe Grimaldi (owner of the company) came out to give me an estimate for the services provided in a very professional manner. He was clean cut and in uniform. I asked that he submit the estimate to me within 48 hours because I already had 2 other estimates in hand and needed the work to start no later than the following week. I received the estimate via email within 36 hours on his professional letterhead. His employees arrived at my house on time and ready to work on the day planned. They laid out the tarps and covered all flooring they would be walking through to get to the locations in the house. The workers were friendly throughout the day and very respectful of the noise level the best they could could control since I had young kids home with me. The job took approximately 2 weeks to complete which was the estimate that was given to me at the start. Joe Grimaldi came to the job several times to check on his employees and the work being performed. He was available on his cell phone 24 hours a day and would answer my call every time I called. At the end of the job he met with my husband and I to walk through the work performed. I did not have any problems or anything for a punch list after the job was completed. I would highly recommend Grimaldi and Sons for any of your Home Improvement needs. The company is capable of doing just about anything requested. One of the things that attracted me to this company the most is that they do the majority of the work "in house" and only use subcontractors for the mechanical work.

I really liked this contractor at first, but feel I was duped. I called him because I wanted to remodel my living room. In doing so, I learned I needed to do some structural work beforehand. He recommended a structural engineer and did the work pursuant to the engineer's recommendation. I told him to leave the basement ceiling where work was done open and it would be included in the living room remodeling. Up to that point, everything was fine. When he came back to do a final estimate for the living room, we talked about him opening up the back door because my husband is now in a wheelchair and it was difficult to get him in and out of the patio door. As Joe left, I told him to go ahead with the patio door asap and to send me an estimate for the living room which included closing up the ceiling in the basement. I did not ask for an estimate for the patio door because I needed it done as soon as possible and I trusted that he would do it for a reasonable price. I never heard from him again about the patio door. I finally had to get someone else to do the work when it became clear he had no intention of following through with it. I had to email him 2 or 3 times to get an estimate for the living room. He replied quickly (not in time, but in writing the email) with an unprofessional estimate; it was not on his company letterhead and no thought was given to price. The prices he gave me were overblown. Obviously, I did not have him or his company do the work. I would have appreciated his telling me he didn't want to do the job for whatever reason he had, rather than having me waste time waiting to hear from him. I also asked him in the emails and voice mails I left for him to have the structural engineer send me a final approval for the work since I didn't receive one from him, and heard nothing. Ever. It is now 7 months later and I still have not heard a word from him or the structural engineer.

The carpenters were punctual, professional, and did beautiful work. They left the work space clean and free of trash each day. Joe Grimaldi was great to work with and responded immediately to calls.

My wife and I decided to have hardwood floors installed in our row home in Philly along with new windows for the front of the house and repair to our concrete porch that sustained a lot of chipping and disintegration from the winter storms. The hardwood floors were installed perfectly and look beautiful. The steps leading to our upstairs were a bit of a challenge as we wanted the original hardwood flooring that was under the rugs on the stairs to remain and have them stained to match the new wood being installed. They did a fabulous job and you would never guess there was a difference in the existing wood floors to the new floors. Another hurdle was making sure the top step would remain flush with the hallway. Even a slight bit off would throw us off our balance; something we were a bit cautious of in being sure that we hire a competent crew. The owner came by and addressed our concerns and was able to line it up precisely! That alone made us glad we chose them for the job. For our front porch, they dug a bit below the concrete and installed a beautiful tile and completed it with a matching grout that gives a custom look to our steps. They suggested this and we are glad they did as we get lots of compliments on it. Our windows were installed with the utmost attention to detail. They mounted new molding on the insides, around the frames and stained and painted them to match the color of the windows that we ordered. Neighbors are still stopping by our house to comment on how nice it looks and a few have already contracted Grimaldi and Sons to replace theirs.

He was great. He did the estimate for free. He is really professional. It was just way more expensive than we were okay with. So, we ended up not going with them. I think he would have done really good work but we had just bought the house, so we just didn’t have the money to spend on it. He was more pricey but I am sure he would have done really good work. He knew what he was talking about, and he had an engineer there with him and everything. He came right on time and was actually a little early.

My home is a very old historic home and I was very pleased with the way it turned out. The job was complex as the wall that was removed supported three stories of the house. Joe is very thorough and even brought in a structure engineer to ensure the work was done right. His team are very personable, responsive and clean. Everyday the house was left better than how his men found it. I have used Joe for multiple projects both complex and simple. He is the only contract I use after years of reliable service.

Joe and his staff were wonderful. They brought a 115 year old historic mansion back to life. This grand home had four stories and some of the most intricate hand made woodwork in the city. Through Joe's efforts we successfully negotiated with the insurance company, and we were able to get our tenants back into the building in less than 4 months. Mr. Grimaldi handled everything from working with the architect, to ensuring historic commission approvals, to completing the project in a way that modernized the structure but kept the "old world feel" in tact. He even secured the new certificate of occupancy much sooner than seemed possible. The Grimaldi and Sons staff were the most courteous contractors that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They were always friendly, cleaned up everyday and made sure that I understood exactly what was being done and why. They kept me up to date on the progress and made me aware of any potential issues before they became issues so we could solve them and keep the job on time, which was critical. I have to say, without Joe Grimaldi and his staff this project would never have been as successful.

I recently had the downstairs in my home remodeled. Along with three walls that were taken down and new hardwood floors installed throughout, I decided to have some electrical work done to the ceilings to brighten all the rooms. The workers showed up in a timely fashion and each day showed drastic results. They are skilled and hard workers that did a fantastic job. They encountered a few unforeseen issues along the way, but still managed to stay within my budget and transitioned my home to beautiful and more open layout. Their guidance and knowledge also came in handy when I was unsure of how to manage my flow of rooms. The owner was professional and courteous and answered all my concerns relating to the breakdown of the standing walls and what I could expect during the demolition. His assurance that there would be little disruption made me feel at ease, considering that I have several pets in my home. Being extremely satisfied with their work, I continue to contract them for an office building that I manage in Philadelphia.

The contractor was terrific. They were creative, and offered us great, cost saving solutions to a number of challenges, including electrical work, plumbing work, and even the choice of appliances that would fit into the space. The contractor was extremely professional, stuck to their initial quotes despite surprises, and showed up to work every single day. We have never before done an online review of any vendor, but these guys were terrific and deserve it. The boss also has a great personality, and was a pleasure to work with.
