Lou was great! looked at my old furnace and could easily and quickly see issues. He was also patient, waiting to make sure the heat was staying on and not in such a rush to leave. Will most likely hire them for replacement!

The Valairco rep found the problem very quickly and fixed it. Because the repair was so simple, he significantly discounted his fee. Very fair!

Forced air gas furnace was working intermittently and was diagnosed (by a different HVAC servicer - not Valairco), as possibly, having a problem with the automatic ignition module. But could not determine definitively. Original type ignition module (Fenwal) was no longer available. First HVAC technician I hired (different from Valairco) recommended replacing the whole unit since he could not guarantee that even if the module were replaced, it would solve the problem. Furnace continued to work but occasionally needed to shut off power to reset unit. Did some research on the web and found a replacement conversion kit (from Trane but with a White and Rodgers ignition module. Trane had 2-week back order for the kit). Ordered online conversion kit from a HVAC parts supplier (since Trane would not sell directly to end user) to make sure furnace could be repaired in short order if it suddenly broke down. Lately, problem became more pronounced but unit was still working on and off. Contacted first HVAC servicer that did the initial diagnosis. Was not keen on doing the work because his company wanted to supply the part. Contacted a second HVAC servicer which I had not used for a while since I felt I was overcharged from the work they did for me several years ago. They quoted me a reasonable price for the repair but I was reluctant to deal with them again because they might find something for which to charge extra while they are in the middle of a job and would leave one with no choice but to agree (not an uncommon practice of some shops). Placed work order request (describing specifically that an old part needed to be replaced using a conversion kit at hand) with homeadvisors.com (which I had used satisfactorily in the past for a different project). Got a listing of 5 HVAC servicers, two of which contacted me immediately including Valairco. "Marilyn" from Valairco service department was courteous, friendly and efficient. After a brief consultation, she was able to quote me a reasonable price for the work requested and I also got a reasonable price quote for the hourly rate for any work that may have to be done. (The initial HVAC servicer that I used was charging an absurd hourly rate of 1.4 times the rate that the BMW dealership charges for car repair!!). Technician, John, from Valairco came to do the work. He commented, at the onset, that this conversion kit was more involved than the typical conversion kit (a lot more wires needed to splice as opposed to the just "plug and go" replacement kits). (He did not try to find an excuse to make an additional charge or try to wiggle out of the job. He completed the work and the furnace has been working normally henceforth. Very pleased with Valairco and that is why I am spending the time to give them a good review!

We got quotes from seven companies. Prices varied by over $4,000! Valairco was selected into the top two finalists using a variety of criteria. In the end we selected Valairco based on price (they were not the lowest but their price was good), installment schedule, their 5-year warranty and the willingness of Kevin to answer questions in a timely fashion. They spent two days doing the install, spending much time getting the pipes fitted. In the end the boiler worked great, much better than our old boiler.

Greg the technician came out to tune up my 22 yr. old A/C unit. In the process, he accidentally broke off the valve on the freon pipe. To make a long story short, they took responsibility and were reasonable and diligent about repairing it.

We received a call from Valairco within one hour of requesting the service on Home Advisor and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. The technician showed up at the appointed time, diagnosed and fixed the problem within minutes. Excellent service and value.
