Chet arrived on time each day and worked diligently to refinish our hardwood floors. They look great considering the shape they were in prior to Chet commencing work. Chet is a very polite person. I would hire Chet again.

DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!! I’ve had a lot of people do work for me over the years and I’m usually pretty good at picking guys that do good work. Was I ever wrong about this guy. First we go upstairs where the work is going to be done, the house was just purchased so there’s no furniture. To make a long story short He takes a look and tells me that the floors are in pretty good shape and he thinks that most of the imperfections are at the top of the wood not deep down into the wood and feels screening would get the job done, but some water spots in front of my bathroom and grey wear spots in my master BR would need to have a 2nd coat done to get it finished correct. He says I do t think you need to sand it all the way down but I’ll price it for you anyway. For 511 sq ft he charged about $850 to screen, $950 for full sand. Now I’m having my entire house painted before, and he’s pretty adamant the screening will get the scuffs, scratches and marks out, so I say ok do the screening because that shouldn’t crest too much of a cleaning issue for the walls. I even have him come back to my house after I gave him the cash deposit to give me an estimate on my LR floor because I discovered something that I wanted fixed. He did it and we agreed to the added work. So he comes at 9:30 am, finishes at 1:30 pm, and I thought that seems pretty fast even light sanding and finishing what was now abt 650 sq ft. I was expecting to take 2 days since my BR and floor in the bathroom needed to get a 2nd coat but figured perhaps it wasn’t as bad as he thought and it all came up. So I went to the bank and paid him balance in full cash. I get to my house about 4 days later and me and my wife go upstairs to the horror that was my upstairs floors. Not only did the floor look exactly the same as it did before he did the work but we wanted to semi gloss finish so the shine wouldn’t be so bright but there’s still a little shine, they had nothing. I called in a rage, saying WTF did you do, the floors look horrible, it looks like nothing was done, every Mark and imperfection was still showing in the wood. I sent pictures of the horrendous work and he’s trying to tell me that’s what you paid for. I said who Pays a professional to have their floors look just as bad if not worse than they did before. I paid you to make my floor look as close to perfect as you can get, the best way to get that done is what I paid you for, and that’s what you told me would get the job done. I said as any actual professional would do, wouldn’t you think to call me, the homeowner whose paying for this,and let me know that the floor is coming out horribly and that what we discussed was not going to get the job done and that we need to completely sand it and it’s gonna cost this much. He could have charged me $1000 extra and I’d have paid it to have my floor done properly. But you don’t take t upon yourself to just decide this is what he paid for so this is what I’m gonna do regardless of how bad it’s
