+ -1 moreThis was the second time I hired JMA to cut down some trees and bushes for me. Very professional and punctual. They also cleaned up my yard and hosed down my driveway. They even took the big branches that had fallen in my yard from a storm. Joe was great and would hire him again without hesitation.

+ -1 moreJoe called Sunday evening to schedule (most contractors don't bother to call on weekends), and came to our house on Tuesday, as scheduled. He inspected the roof, made several minor repairs, and one not-so-minor repair! I also asked him for estimates on replacing the roof on our garage and on the older section of our home, and he took measurements and wrote up the estimates while he was here. His estimates were very reasonable, and we will definitely contract Joe in the future. He was so nice, very honest, efficient, and such a gentleman-- I wish all contractors were like him!

Description of Work: Joe, the owner came and gave me an estimate for the work I needed to have done. I wanted the trees limbs that were hanging over the house cut. We agreed on a price of $400.00 that included the $199 I already paid. The men arrived on the appointed day and began the job. It was getting dark and they had not finished the job so Joe said they would be back the next day. The next day I see them working across the street at my neighbor's house. (My neighbor had seen the men working at my house and asked them to do some work on his property)So, my job was put on hold. The following day, they were still working at my neighbor's house and when they were finished I assumed they were going to come and finish my job. But no - they took down a tree for my other neighbor and then went to my neighbor's daughter's house to do some work. When I questioned the men about when they were going to finish my job, they said I had to speak with Joe, their boss. Joe said, I would have to wait until the following week. After some words, he agreed to come back later that day and finish my job. The job was completed and I was pleased with the work. I just did not like the way I was treated. I understand that the additional jobs he picked up paid him more than my job, but he would not have had those jobs had my neighbor not seen him working on my yard. I just felt that I was used.It would have been more professional, if he came and told me the situation instead of me having to call. I did say this to Joe when I paid him for the completed work.

+ 0 moreOwner of company came and gave estimate to trim tree on 9/28/2014. Said he would come back on Saturday to trim tree. It rained. I did not him from him but figured it was raining and he would call to reschedule. Another week went by and I did not hear from him. On the third week after that rainy Saturday, he called and asked if the job could be done any day but a Saturday. Because the tree is in the yard and I work Monday through Friday, I said no. he said he would see what he could do. Another week goes by and I do not hear from him. The date is 10/28/2014. I call and ask if he is still going to do the job or should I just ask for a refund? The owner told me he was unhappy with the Angie's List big deal and was not getting paid for other Angie's List customers jobs that were complete and would not be doing any more work for them. He would not be performing the job of trimming my tree. I called Angie's List and spoke with Shelby. Very nice person who said she would begin the refund process for me.

+ -1 morePerfectly. This is the second time we have used them, and it's obvious that they know what they are doing. Joe (Jose), the owner, is friendly, easy to work with, and obviously very experienced. We were impressed that they took the time to temporarily remove several sections of fence that might have been damaged as they took down the damaged tree. Also, given that some of the trimming work I wanted done was "subjective", Jose insisted that I be here when they did the work to make sure that it was to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Remove damaged tree, grind stump, and general tree trimming throughout our property.

+ -1 moreThe team was at my house on time on the scheduled day and everything when smoothly according to my requirements. They removed all debris, mulched the cut branches and cleaned my back yard thoroughly. Upon the boss demand they even remove debris I left from previous cleaning by myself. The boss came later on to review with me the job and to pick up the logs from the cut trees.I am very satisfied with this company.
Description of Work: I had already an experience with the same contractor on1/26/2012 for removing a tree that was too close to my house. JMA tree service gave me a fair estimate and a completion date which both were fullfilled with high satisfactory. This time the job was more subsequent as there were two tall trees to cut and several to trim in my back yard.
