Leonard Electric

We found Tom on Angies list. The first guy we called forgot one appointment and then took 7 days to get an estimate to us. We called Tom. He came on a Sunday as promised. Took the information about the job. Called on Tuesday with the estimate and did the job on Wednesday. Tom came with his son Matt and these guys are professionals. Came on time. Put down dropcloths. Did the job and cleaned up when done. Totallly satisfied- but there was an issue. The pendants they installed over the kitchen island were not where my wife wanted them. It was not their fault- I told them to put them there. We called Tom and he came out late Saturday and moved them at NO CHARGE. Who does that anymore. He said he likes to keep his customer base happy. If you need a professional who is on time, neat and handles issues and problems- he's your guy!

Tom was very easy to deal with. He came out for an estimate as I had a long laundry list of items since we just purchased the home. I walked him through the "must do" list and then the we "might do list". He gave me a price for the must do list and the per item pricing for the might do list. His pricing was good and he gave me the 5% Angie's List discount even though the coupon was not there when I went to schedule. On the day of the work, he and his son came and were quick, efficient and thorough. they cleaned up, laid tarps and were done in 4 hours. Very pleased with the service and will call Tom again when we get to the rest of the might do list. Oh and he was very up front about one item on the might do list (tying the kitchen high hat lights into one switch). Laid out options and concerns without pushing me one way or the other.

Called before they arrived, on time, cleaned up and everything worked. Good job.

Our air conditioner kept cutting off during a heat wave. We thought it was the thermostat but the HVAC company was out this afternoon and said it was one of the circuits in the breaker. They suggested that both be replaced as a precaution. We liked the electrician we'd used in the past, but he's no longer in business so I looked on Angie's list and found Leonard Electric . The company had good reviews and advertised emergency after-hours service. My daughter and I have some serious health issues and having air conditioning is important to us. Tom, or Mr. Leonard, asked me the make of the breaker and some other questions when he called and said he'd be out within the hour. He quoted the price, which seemed reasonable to me under the circumstances. He came as promised and did the job in quick order. He seemed kind, competent and intelligent, all qualities which I like. We'll certainly use Leonard Electric for any future electrical work. I'm more than pleased.

Leonard was very conscientious and professional in every manner! His knowledge of the job was perfect and we couldn't have been happier with the results. We would highly recommend Mr. Leonard to friends and family with no reservation or hesitation.

It went very well. Mr. Leonard gave me 2 price points for fixing my bathroom light fixture. One price if it was a simple wiring issue another if squirrels had chewed the wiring. Mr. Leonard was professional, a to the point type of demeanor. He took time to explain what he was working on and why. He fixed my light fixture, charged me the price he quoted. I showed him some of the other electrical needs around my home and gave me fair estimates for each project I'm needing to be worked on. I like Mr. Leonard. I would recommend him to my family, friends send neighbors.

They were very personable, they were on time and good communicator. They are fair; good work and good price. I will definitely call them and back again. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for their service. It is a small company of a father and son and they were very nice.

It went great. Tom came to my house to give me an estimate for the work to be done and offered to do everything that same evening. He was professional and very pleasant. Explained how the new GFI would operate in contrast to the very old one that he removed. Cleaned up after he was done. I believe his price was very reasonable - based on what I've paid in the past for other electricians. I would definitely call on him again and encourage others to do likewise.

The project went very well without a hitch. A new GFI protected service was provided to power the nw tub. Tom and his son arrived when expected and both were very courteous and professional. They were careful and cleaned up when their work was done. Tom took the time to explain to me how everything worked when he was done and he made me feel that the project and my approval were important to him. I will definitely call him again for my electrical needs and recommend his services to neighbors.

He took over a week to respond to my call requesting an estimate. I understand if they can't come out right away, but you can at least call back and set up an appointment for the estimate at a later date. I had other quotes that were cheaper and he was kind of rude and dismissive. He told me looking around my house he saw much better things to spend money on then the job I was requesting. His lack of professionalism and responsiveness were enough to turn me away, his price being over $100 more then the next guy was just further reason to never call these guys again.

Problem solved, hopefully. Tom Leonard also looking forward and priced new wiring, if needed.

They did good work. I would recommend them. They were local so they came right out and everything. I don't have nothing bad to say.

I read a lot of great reviews about Tom's work and that was the main reason why I chose him. I'm happy to add to the list of great reviews. Work was done in an hour. Tom and his son are very friendly and professional. Tom texted me that he was running a few minutes late which was not a problem. I now know that I have an electrician that I call call and trust.

I called Tom from Leonard Electric after two years of frustration on a septic system that was not working properly. Tom came and was able to troubleshoot the electrical system - the circuit board was burnt - and numerous other problems. Tom arrived two hours early and consulted with the septic maintenance company to correct the problem. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend Leonard Electric to anyone who is in need of a qualified electrician. Thank you, Tom.

They were prompt and did everything properly.

Tom Leonard and his son were very personable, professional, and detailed. The description of the work was accurate, and the execution was neat. The old knob-and-tube wiring in our 1920s 3-story colonial needed partial replacing, and I was afraid there would be severe demolition. Tom was able to do 'minimally invasive surgery' with small, neat circular holes, and save the plaster plugs for easy replacement. There were no surprise 'add on' fees, which could easily be expected in an older home. Cleanup was fine and work was completed earlier than expected. Would recommend Leonard Electric for any service

I called Leonard Electric because I thought I had a major issue, Tom put me at ease after I explained the situation and assured me he would arrive early the next morning, Tom and his son arrived on time, replaced a breaker and disconnected/removed a bad ceiling fan within an hour which allowed me to get to work as soon as possible. The work was done professionally and for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Leonard Electric!

After Tom came to our house to look at the job and give us an estimate, he and his son Matt arrived the following week at the scheduled time to install the under-counter lights. Tom and Matt are both very friendly and professional, and the job went well. We would recommend Leonard Electric and plan to use them again.

The main electric cable to the meter was in poor condition as was the service panel, both of which were in excess of 50 years old. We had contracted to have our house sided and Tom worked with the siding contractor to have his work done prior to the installation of the siding. Tom left the new meter detached from the house so as to make the siding install easier. He returned promptly, on being contacted by the siding contractor, to complete the installation. I could not be more pleased with the work that Tom and his son, Matt, did and would not hesitate to call them again should I have electric work to be done. I would highly recommend Leonard Electric.

Tom responded to my phone call promptly. Even though it was a small job, Tom & his son Matt arrived on the scheduled time , they are very courteous & professional, and not only did the job I requested ,but also secured a kitchen light fixture that I asked them to check for me ( which I had not discussed with Tom initially ). I am very pleased with their work & will use them again.

Tom ended up not doing the work afterall. I got Tom's name from Angie's list and called for an estimate. He came to the house to review the work needed and provided a quote. He gave me guidance on the types of flood lights he recommended and where to purchase them. I purchased all of the materials and scheduled the job. Several days prior to the scheduled install date, I reached out to Tom to confirm we were still on schedule for Wednesday that week. He responded with "I won't know my schedule until tomorrow" and said he would call me the next day. The next day I reached out to him again as I was trying to coordinate with my work schedule to accommodate his availability. He responds by saying he suddenly had a viewing that same day which he didn't remember and that his family was in from out of town the rest of that week and therefore he would be unavailable to do the job. He said he needed to push it out to the following week. Needless to say I was absolutely surprised and speechless at his lack of customer service. I had rearranged my entire schedule at work that week to accommodate our agreed upon date for the work. He was very dismissive and clearly didn't want or need the business. Very unprofessional on his part. I do not recommend him whatsoever and would most certainly NEVER consider hiring him again.

The day the attic fan was installed was extremely hot but it did not deter them from braving a hot roof and sauna-like attic. The job was done without a hitch and they removed the old fan and cleaned any remaining debris. The lighting fixtures were installed safely and quickly and give me excellent lighting in my garage.

I was experiencing some electrical problems and called Leonard electric to come check it out. During the initial visit Tom didn't find the problem. Tom recommended that I contact Atlantic city electric to have the service panel checked. AC Electric discovered that one of the two power buses entering my home through the electrical panel had been burned out. Tom was correct. Once Atlantic City Electric discovered the problem they shut power down to my house. I called Tom and he responded in less than two hours. Tom and his son managed to fix the problem by replacing the power panel during a driving rainstorm. The service was excellent, the workers were pleasant, outstanding result, I would highly recommend hiring Tom anytime. It's been a long time since I've seen customer service this good.
