GREEN WITH ENVY LANDSCAPING

All went very well. George has great ideas and I was looking for something different than what I see in my neighborhood and other parts of my town. We had a lot of damage from the storm which had changed the entire landscape of the property. While some older shrubs and trees remained, he was able to come up with a plan that easily transitioned the landscape to a fresh new look. We are very pleased with the results.

Green with Envy George (the owner) came over for our initial meeting as scheduled and was very professional. We wanted a natural looking landscaped back yard and some trees & shrubs to accent a baron area and the new fence. He spent time listening to what we wanted and offered a great design. He offered a fair price and worked within our budget. He was extremely knowledgeable of the various trees, shrubs, and plants and what would work in sun and shade (our yard has both). Prior to the job, we called him multiple times with questions and he always promptly returned our calls. When George came over to sign the contract, he sat down with me for an hour going over the plan. He was very informative and patient. George showed up on time with his crew and everything went very smooth and methodical ? they did a fantastic job. We also had some changes due to pet safety concerns?once again he was very patient and changed few plants to fit our needs. Our landscaping looks beautiful and I would highly recommend this company.

I called and got a very quick return call. We arranged an appointment and George, the owner, came out exactly when he said he would. He listened to my desires and then asked about the sun, my willingness to put time into the care and maintenance ( I travel for work, so I wanted low maintenance). I wanted color and I wanted something that would do well in this climate. We talked about how much I wanted done, and he actually guided me to start simple and wanted to do less than I originally planned because I have other plans for doing construction and adding a pool or hot tub. He said I could always add later. He was the only person I spoke with that asked about the maintenance aspect and took the rest of the yard and house into the equation. I am glad he spent the time explaining the options and gave me ideas, which, honestly, were better than I was expecting. There was no pressure and he sent me a quote exactly when he said he would. I had a couple of questions and he answered them promptly and with the pros and cons. We arranged the date and he and his crew showed up very early on the appointed day. (I didn't even finish my coffee and they had the front yard done ;) ). They actually did more than was in the quote, fixing my border wall and removing two or three plant roots in the front bed. When he was done ( George was there the entire time), he spent time explains how e trees and bushes would grow, how to take care of them, and how to trim them. I was extremely pleased with the entire process and after he left I still had some questions and he was patient with me and answered them without getting annoyed. I thought the trees had died, because i misunderstood the amount of water required, but they just went into shock, and he told me exactly why and what to do. They came back quickly and now look great.

George came out for estimate on time, very professional. He worked with the paver and irrigation people we hired to plan taking up the lawn and putting new sod down. the worked around all our landscaped beds with care. All went perfectly and George laid the sod down himself. Our lawn looks beautiful and I would highly recommend this company I also always like when the owner of the company is actually doing the work.

George Murphy came to provide the estimate and offered suggestions for types of bushes, plants, and flowers that would be durable near the ocean. When the installation date came, it was the hottest day of the year. I came down to the beach house at 11:30am, and George and his crew were there and almost done. They had started extremely early to beat the heat. One of the choices of bushes was slightly smaller than George had anticipated when he picked them up from the nursery, so he included an additional bush in order to provide the planned coverage. I really appreciate that independent action. George was a pleasure to work with - prompt, easily to contact and communicate with, and did an excellent job. George demonstrated a caring attitude and high integrity. I will definitely use Green With Envy Landscaping in the future.

Wow, what a job. George knows his stuff and was very helpful in suggesting what to plant. Upfront pricing and wound up doing our job more than a week ahead of schedule. Extremely pleased and will certainly use them in the future.

Extremely well. This company and the owner (George) are a really professional outfit. They came out and completed the entire work on a Saturday as we had requested (after the previously-scheduled day was washed out because of heavy rain). The crew worked very efficiently and did a clean job. Owner was on hand throughout the day to make sure everything was right and even pitched in when required. They delivered on everything in the contract. Also the response to follow-up questions was excellent. We have no hesitations in recommending this company to others based on the completely professional way they executed the job.

I was so please with George and his company, George came out on a Sunday sat with me actually asked me questions on what I would like and than made suggestions. He never once asked me how much I wanted to spend, I had to other companies that came and gave me quotes and the first thing they asked was how much my budget was. George words to me were I will make a design and give you and estimate and if it does not match your budget we will tweak it until it does. He came back a week later with a beautiful design and the estimate was under what I wanted to spend. He came when he said he would a delivered everything he said he would. Since then I have had George back to do more landscaping in my backyard, again he always shows when he say's he will be there, if the weather is bad you actual receive a call from him, not a Secretary. He is honest, dependable and will not overcharge you. I will be using Green with Envy for any landscaping project; now and in the future

We found Green With Envy Landscaping on Angie's List and liked what the reviews had to say, so we called George and made an appointment for an estimate. George, who is the owner of the company, stopped by on a Saturday for the estimate. First impressions are everything and he nailed it as my wife and I felt very comfortable with him right off the bat. Our main concern was to use the landscaping as a privacy barrier from our neighbors, which we described to George. We also asked him if he could come up with a design that was relatively maintenance free. He even took us for a ride in his truck down the street so we could show him a specific shrub that we had an interest in planting. We then received a proposal a few days later, which was a little high for our budget. George worked with us to get the cost down into our budget and reworked the proposal. We accepted and scheduled an appointment for about 2 weeks later. George arrived at about 8 AM on the scheduled day with his crew of about 8 and began removing the existing landscape. Two large blue spruces (about 25 ft) were cut and dropped with care not to disturb the house or pool. All roots of the existing plants were removed as well (Japanese maple, arborvitaes, fern, ivy). The existing grade was also lowered to prepare for the new landscape. George even moved a 6 ft circular paver accent for a fountain to the newly landscaped area. The finished product turned out amazing and we now have an outdoor area that we love to be in and look at instead of cringing and ignoring. All in all, the job took an entire day plus a few hours the next day. Besides the removal, 8 crepe myrtles, 13 knockout roses, 3 hydrangeas, 18 arborvitaes, 2 containers of dune grass, 3 stepping stones, de/reconstruction of the pavers, over a roll of week block and at least 8 tons of Delaware stone we installed. Plus, George was onsite managing and working the entire project. He also ran out of some supplies (weed block and stone), which he we were not charged for since we weren't quoted for it in the proposal. I would definitely call him again if we would need anymore landscaping services and recommend him to anyone looking for landscape design. UPDATE: (I forgot to add in above that George warranties his work for a year. He told us that he will replace any plants that don't come back the next year.) Almost a year later from the initial service, we called George about a few arborvitaes that didn't look too promising. He came in a replaced 4 arborvitaes with brand new ones, free of charge. We had also called him about a month after the initial replacement about a crepe myrtle that only less than half of the plant had leaves on it. He came back a second time and replaced the crepe and an additional arborvitae. All in all, George came back on 2 separate occasions and replaced a total of 5 arborvitaes and 1 crepe myrtle. He honored the warranty and he did not charge us for the labor or materials. We are planning our next landscaping project and will be using George's company no questions asked. You should be too! We also are recommending George and Green With Envy to our families and friends and anyone else we know because he has done such a professional and courteous job!

The landscaping in our front yard was overgrown after 18 years, and we knew that it was time to do it over. My husband cut down four tall evergreens and a few bushes in advance. I called four local landscapers from Angie's List. None of them called back; they were probably still busy from Sandy damage. One of the homes in my neighborhood seemed to be getting a post-Sandy overhaul; the landscaping looked really nice. I noted the name on the lawn sign. As soon as I got home, I checked out Green with Envy Landscaping on Angie's List; its grades were high and the comments were glowing, so I called. The owner, George, called back that same day, and we set up an appointment for a couple of days later. George came back with a beautiful plan a week later. We agreed on a convenient date (today), and now the work is completed. He did a terrific job, and we are very happy. George really has a good aesthetic sense; the landscape looks cohesive yet flowing and natural.

We started with a virtual blank slate. We wanted a "natural ", informal look. George designed a plan that included trees, bushes, perennials, landscape ties/stones, mulch, sod, a stone wall and seeding of the back yard. Since we wanted a habitat conducive to attracting, feeding and protecting birds, the trees and plants were chosen with that in mind. George and his hard working crew arrived on time and finished on time. We couldn't believe that all the work was completed in 2 days! All of the plants and trees were first quality. George and his crew were very polite and professional. We would highly recommend Green With Envy for any and all of your landscaping needs. We couldn't be happier! We get compliments every day from our neighbors and all those who pass by.

My husband and I are extremely happy with the landscaping work completed by George Murphy. Before we even had landscaping work to be done, I emailed Green with Envy to ask if they could recommend a lawn service. George's quick and helpful response (for someone he did not know, and who had no work for him) left a positive impression on me. Based on that experience, and his positive reviews on Angie's List, we were happy to call him again when we did finally have a landscaping project. He was out within a matter of days to review the work to be done, offering advice and some great ideas along the way. I found him to friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He sent his estimate that same week, which we felt was fair and reasonable, and scheduled work to begin the following month. George and his crew arrived bright and early on the day promised, and worked very hard - accomplishing what seemed like more than a full days work in only about 5 hours. George was there throughout the day, and he was very accommodating when we made some additional last minute requests. His crew was professional and considerate, and even went out of their way to carefully remove some of the trees and shrubs from our yard so that our neighbors could replant them. When the job was done, not only did our yard look beautiful, but I think it was even cleaner than when they started. (They used a leaf blower to clear some debris, which incidentally removed most of the pollen from our porch.) In summary, my husband and I could not be happier with the transformation in our yard. It was a professional job from beginning to end, and George was a pleasure to work with. We are already planning to call him again in the fall to help us with another project.

The experience was easy, George (owner) was accommodating in meeting with me on a Saturday to walk the property and get an idea of what could be done. Estimate was completed and presented on time. I had another company in to remove two large trees where part of the project was going to be completed, George was willing to schedule our project out to accommodate getting the trees removed first. George and his crew arrived first thing in the morning and was able to essentially complete the job as promised in 1 day. Impressive amount of work to be accomplished in 1 day. Especially on the first 80 degree day of the season in April.

They are excellent. George Murphy the owner comes out with his crew and works with them and you. He gives you some ideas on what you want to do. He doesn't pressure you. His crew showed up on time and worked very hard. My place looks so nice now.

They work really well within my budget which I am really pleased about. They are very knowledgeable, courteous, prompt and timely. They came when they said they would. They were willing to modify the design in order to meet my budget which was the main thing. They have been so far so good. Their professionalism is wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone.

Job went great. George Murphy arrived on time for the estimate and on work day. Estimate was clear and fair with good advice and suggestions. The job was done well and fast. No surprises, no disappointments. Men were polite and professional. George has obviously been doing this work for a long time. He does it the right way.

Location was summer home at beach.Ivy already removed when we got there about 9am. 2 men doing labor, working very well. Owner popped in & out, very pleasant & helpful. Assisted laborers & used power tools. Asked owner for advice which was given with no pushing, which led to additional work. Original estimate was $500, but did not include removal of yews or new plantings.Total work time approx 5-6 hrs. Plantings insured for 1 yr. Would definitely recommend & use again.

I called George Murphy after reading the wonderful report card he had here on Angie's List. My phone call was returned that same evening. We spoke about what I needed done and George said he would stop by the property to take a look. He came within 2-3 days and called me that night. We discussed what was needed now and a plan of action moving forward. He and his men came to do the work in the next few days. This is what I really liked, George himself came and did the work with his men. Other landscapers I have used sent their men alone. They were professional, neat and finished before I knew it. I look forward to calling this winter and seeing what my landscaping looks like come Spring. I am so happy I finally found a reliable landscaper who is close by.

It was a professional job from start to finish. My phone request for an estimate was returned promptly. Owner arrived as promised two days later with written estimate as stated with a price that fit within our budget. Due to a break, work was done the same week we agreed to the proposal. The owner and crew arrived on time. The owner and I went over the work that was to be done and work began shortly thereafter. Several hours later the work was completed and my wife and I were impressed with the beautiful job that was done, which exceeded our expectations. Also important is that we are Bed and Breakfast owners and the crew doing the work did not impact our very busy weekend. Several of our guests as well as neighbors commented on how nice things looked when the job was complete. A professional job from start to finish.
