GREEN WITH ENVY LANDSCAPING

Brought George back for our spring cleanup and was well worth it. He did a fantastic job on trimming shrubs in our backyard. He also prepped a portion of our front lawn for sod installation that was damaged last fall. Overall, very pleased and happy with George and will make sure that he comes back again in early summer for some flower planting.

From our very first meeting with George Murphy till the actual completion of the job, he was very easy to work with. Our job was very complex because it required George to delay the final completion of his work till five different contractors completed their work. New sewers, stump grinding, soffit work, new walkway, sprinkler repair, and new gutters all had to be completed before George could schedule the final installation of our landscaping. All this work took months to coordinate and George worked with us every step of the way. Our mason also used George's plans for our new walkway. Once George started his work, his crew did an excellent job. George also stayed on the job the entire day to make sure everything went according to plan. While the work was being done , George made some modifications to his existing plan (with our permission) that further enhanced the beauty of our landscaping. When the job was completed, clean-up was spotless. From the initial planning of the job till completion, George was a real pleasure to work with. He returned phone calls promptly, showed up on time for appointments, and his landscape knowledge was very impressive. His price was also very fair for the quality of work done and materials used. It has been several months since our work was completed but he still calls back promptly if I have a question regarding plant care. My wife and I are so please with George's work that we are having him do the maintenance for all of our landscaping this spring,

George was outstanding. He is very, very knowledgeable about his work. From initial contact to job completion he was a pleasure to work with. George and his crew were amazing, working in below freezing temperature to complete the job. There is more work to be done in the spring, and I will definitely be calling him.

I have used him twice last year. He is very responsive, he came out right away. When we had the landscaping done, he called the next day. He came out the following week to do the work. He is responsible and reasonable.

Just bought a house where the landscaping was seriously neglected over 30 years covered in overgrown shrubs and trees that were strangling the property. Really ugly. Felt bad for us and the neighbors. George Murphy of Green with Envy was the first guy I called based on his reviews and I did something I never did before. With his knowledge, confidence, and manner we knew we wanted him for the work and therefore I didn't call anyone else and hoped that his quote would be in line. He walked around the property with my wife and I and then he spent time by himself closely surveying the property and then gave us his vision for transforming in the property. We loved his ideas which included tons of varieties of flowers and rose bushes since where we previously lived you couldn't have any flowers because the deer eat everything. The house is in the shore area and we wanted the landscaping to reflect the coastal look of the house. He sent a quote a couple of days later (very reasonable from my experience in the past) and said he would draw us a plan. We said forget the plan and work your magic. He described the work in the quote with the detailed listing of flowers and trees, many of which I had to look up on the web but saw they were beautiful. He listened and understood everything my wife and I wanted and incorporated it into his vision and the results were picture perfect. He arrived with his large crew early in the morning and over the next few days George supervised and worked side by side with his terrific crew and they transformed the property far exceeding our expectations. They laid out 17 tons of beautiful Delaware stone instead of mulch which will save me a lot of work and annual much maintenance. I would not hesitate to use and recommend George Murphy again.

I live in the only condo community in the universe that gives owners the "gift" of a garden area (roughly 4x25) that we are responsible for maintaining. My neighbors, who apparently all have green thumbs, have absolutely lovely gardens. Me, on the other hand - well, look at the pics and see for yourself. George was terrific! I work all the time (good excuse for an out of control garden!) so he came when I was gone, sent me a quote, we spoke briefly, and set the date. When I got home from work late that night I turned on the front light and was thrilled to see .... NOTHING! No more jungle of plants, flowers, bushes, and some sort of vine that never budded or bloomed but grew about ten feet per week. All gone!! What a relief! I'm going to let the area rest until the spring and then I intend to call upon George once again so he can transform my plot into the best garden in my community. Then all of MY neighbors will be GREEN WITH ENVY! :) Thanks, George!

On time, on point, efficient and neat as a pin! George's landscaping design is awesome, and he promises the deer won't devastate the new plants! Do plan in advance; quality work like George's can be booked, so if you want it done give him some notice!

George is fantastic. He called back the same day and stopped within a few days to give is an estimate. He was right on target with how much material we needed and his quote was spot on. After his initial visit I actually called him back to do additional work so that all the stones would match. Then I called him back to put stones around the entire perimeter of the pool. Would highly recommend him.

My wife and I met with George Murphy,the owner of Green With Envy Landscaping. George provided us with a complete, detailed and reasonable proposal for an entire new landscaping and sod plan. From inception to completion George's attitude and enthusiasm were extremely professional. The work that Green With Envy Landscaping performed was excellent. We're very pleased with the final result and we're very demanding and certainly more involved in the process (I believe) than the average homeowner. George is good to deal with, he will call you back promptly, and he's agreeable to adjusting for homeowner preferences on detail that may not be spelled out at the beginning of the project. No matter who you work with, you should be more concerned about how issues are handled than the fact that they come up. In this regard George is way above the norm. I would recommend him and certainly use him again.

Have to update my review. Gave a great review after the work was done and some of the shrubs and trees that died were replaced, but those died as well and GWE only replaces once. We chalked the first failure up to a Fall planting followed by a harsh Winter but we can't say that this time. I would consider "homeowner error" as the cause but everything else in the yard is flourishing. I actually paid to replace a Leyland Cypress and the Crepe Myrtles and they are thriving as well. Not sure where George gets his plant material but those were the big ticket items and they just didn't cut it. Having to incur that expense was disappointing.

George returned our phone call promptly and met us at the property at our convenience. He arrived on time and listened to our needs as we walked the property. I found him to be extremely personable and professional. He demonstrated a thorough knowledge of vegetation and the shore climate. We scheduled another visit, at our convenience, where we would review his designs. He again arrived on time and enthusiastically explained his vision for the property. It really seemed as though he loves his work. He responded politely to questions and made modifications immediately in response. I am not well versed in horticulture, yet George was patient and thorough in his explanations. I trusted him without reservation. We had priced another landscaper, and George's plans gave us more for less money. His pricing is very reasonable. Unfortunately we learned that Green With Envy does not do lawn maintenance. We would have loved to have used them for all our landscaping needs. George did tell us that Green With Envy does provide end of year clean up and start of season maintenance. They also guarantee their plantings for a full year. Green With Envy was quick to complete the job and did beautiful work. They worked efficiently with our sprinkler company to coordinate the planting and sprinkler installation. George included a lovely combination of color and texture. He did a terrific job of camouflaging our bulky outdoor air conditioners. We are very pleased with the landscaping and so grateful that Angie's List connected us with Green With Envy.

Beautifully done. The crew, led by the owner, George Murphy, worked very hard to create a wonderful new look that nicely fit the situation of our house and our budget. George has a keen eye for landscape design, and he worked as hard as his crew to get the job done. I enthusiastically recommend George and his crew.

George and his crew of four arrived at 8 AM and proceeded to complete the work in a rapid and efficient manner. The work and the subsequent clean-up was done professionally and included a redesign of an existing flower bed and the laying of several tons of rock in my front yard. I am most pleased with the results of their efforts and will highly recommend Green With Envy for all landscaping services.

The whold process went extraordinarily well. George is the owner of the business, and after we contacted him he quickly contacted us to arrange an appointment to discuss the project. He was extremely knowledgable and made us feel very comfortable about this big project. His responded very quickly with a formal writting proposal and indicated that he could start the project in a few weeks. The price on the entire job was very reasonable in my opinion, which exceeded my expecations. To make this even better, George came to see us one more time, after we told him that we had a few more questions and some possible changes to make. He was able to complete this big job in just a few days, and he was also able to do the job sooner because of a cancellation from a corporate job. I will use George again in the near future, and we already scheduled him to do maintenace work in the winter and in the spring. Highly recommend Green with Envy in Manasquan.

Under the threat of severe rain, I was doubtful that all work would be accomplished in one day. George and his crew arrived at 8:30 a.m. and promptly began work. They work together like a well oiled machine. They were completely finished, including cleanup by 1:30 p.m. George was a pleasure to work with.

George came with his crew on saturday morning to do about half the work that we wound up asking to do. he handled changes exceptionally well. was able to provide needed materials for all extra work and completed by end of day. this was a great experience for my wife and I. we would definitely use George again and recommend him to anyone looking for work done at they're home.

He was excellent. He was punctual, he did exactly what he said and he did some very easy landscaping job. We had overgrown trees, which he tore out and then he replaced everything. He asked our approval and he told us which plant was going to be put and how mature they are going to be, the whole works and he did it. We would recommend him and advice them to use him. We thought his price was reasonable. He was right on time and he was done when he was supposed to be done.

My experience with the Green with Envy Team was excellent. George was very professional during our first meeting for the consultation and then in managing his team during the full workday. The team arrived on schedule, worked quickly and orderly to complete all the work within a single day. All debris was cleared and removed and the yard was absolutely beautiful when they left for the day. I will continue to use George and his team to continue some additional upgrades to the yard during 2014 and into the future It is a mature property and needs upgrading care on a regular basis. What I appreciate the most working with George is the fact that he is willing to work within my budget to complete the work in small projects as I can afford them and his guidance for what would look and work best for my home.

George Murphy (Green with Envy) was superb - we were extremely pleased with his services. Excellent job, went above and beyond. Not only did they install a new zone for my sprinkler system but they checked all the other heads and even fix two of them at no charge. I would definitely use this provider again.

Mr. Murphy returned my call the same afternoon that I contacted his office. He could not help with my project as he has discontinued landscaping services for the winter; however, he was gracious enough to offer some well thought out solutions for the specific problems I discussed with him. He went so far as to suggest what a reasonable cost would be for the work I had in mind. I would not hesitate to contact Mr. Murphy for future landscaping work on my property.

George is fantastic! From the initial consultation to see a hand drawn design (free of charge btw) everything was great! He was very informative on which plants he was using, which for a 1st time homeowner was great to learn what to use and how to take care of them. He even threw in a ton of lillys free of charge as a surprise! Highly recommend George and his crew and we'll be hiring him again soon for more work.
