We recently had our basement remodeled, and the transformation exceeded our expectations. The workmanship was outstanding—every detail was handled with precision and care. The team was incredibly responsive throughout the project, addressing all questions promptly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of our new basement!

We hired Basic Basement to finish our basement, and the minute I met with our sales person Dan I knew we made the right choice! The professionalism and customer service oriented team members with Basic Basement are exceptional. From the initial contract to completion of the project, the process was effortless. Gail kept me notified every step of the way, and helped manage the scheduled work, and let me know when the workers would be out on certain days. Sales experience was awful. Ask for an actual contractor to come by with the sales person. Our sales person left a lot of details out (waterproofing even though we showed him the water issue; told us the flooring pricing would have to come after framing because of a lump on the floor that needed to be addressed- all could have been put in original quote if a contractor had examined the situation as we found out much later on). Staff (other than the sales person) were helpful and professional. Overall work was good. But, extremely slow. Almost 6 mo for water proofing and semi finishing of basement (no bathroom, just the basics). On average they completed one activity over one or two days per week.

The finished basement they delivered was top-notch, and we’ve never worked with a contractor as punctual and organized. They were flawless in every aspect of the project, from securing township approvals to promptly addressing any concerns we had. A HUGE shoutout to Gail and Bob. Gail consistently managed the scheduling and promptly answered all our questions. Bob, our project manager, was exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable, and he wasn’t afraid to get hands-on when needed. Great communication from day 1, we are totally happy with making the decision on having this company to finish our basement. Pricing is excellent compared with other contractors. Any small issues were taken care immediately. Gail our project coordinator is awesome she was on top of everything. I would like to have a company like this for any project at my house.

Our small basement renovation project went so smoothly. Our PM, Mike was on top of everything and made sure we were informed and happy throughout the project. The Office Manager, Gail communicated at every step of the way and was so pleasant to deal with. My husband and I referred to them as the Dream Team…. Our project came out great with no hidden costs and no hiccups. Honestly, this was a first for me where i actually enjoyed a Reno. I would use them again and highly recommend to others.

We are thrilled with our new basement! We wanted a simple but nice finished space for our kids and that's exactly what we got. John and the rest of the team were amazing to work with. We felt very overwhelmed with the process when meeting with other contractors, but the Basic Basement company took care of everything from start to finish. Their communication is excellent, kerping me up-to-date on the process and scheduling the various contractors like electricians, inspectors, etc. They were also very reasonably priced compared to many other contractors we met with. I highly recommend and would 100% use them again if we ever needed them for another project

They were communicative throughout the project from start to finish, which is one of our biggest needs when working on projects like this, and they did a great job of taking us through each step of the process smoothly. We ended with a couple of basement spaces that we love, including our gym area that (pictured) and a living room area (not yet painted, but that's on us) and a storage area.

Basic Basements is a very good company. Excellent Team work, Professional and well co-ordinated. To begin with Mr. Todd Gerstmyer(Design consultant), who very well explained in detail how the unfinished basement would look like when the job is done. John Kruse(project manager) and his team were excellent. Finished the job in the schedule time frame. Gail Torrelio( project coordinator), very quick in responding. Signing the contract the following day, they adhered to the agreed-upon timeline and completed the project efficiently. The project cost remained competitive with no hidden expenses. Their guidance in paperwork facilitated smooth permit acquisition from the local township. Every member of their crew, were punctual and courteous throughout the project. Basic basement company did an excellent job in my home finishing my basement. Their estimate based on the initial evaluation was spot on. They Started and finished well within their stated timeframe. Their contractors were all very respectful and all did excellent work. Mike, our supervisor, was extremely helpful and very pleasant to work with. For years, I had dreams of finishing my basement. That dream finally came true when I saw a billboard for The Basic Basement Company and decided to call. It was the best decision ever! What I liked about this company is the "one stop shopping". I can recall getting quotes from other companies and this one does this but doesn't do that. Which meant that I would have had to find multiple vendors to complete the project. However, that was not the case with The Basic Basement Company. This company provided full service and was awesome walking me through the process. Gail, John, Bob and the crew were absolutely amazing. The communication was excellent! We had our basement finished by the Basic Basement company, and are really pleased with the outcome! To begin with, there was not much room to negotiate on pricing, but we did feel it was reasonable overall. Our project manager Gail was very responsive and took care of all the scheduling promptly. They have a bunch of different teams for framing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, etc. and every single one of them did a great job. Even the inspectors from the township remarked that they've always had a good opinion of them. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone!

Dream come true!! That’s what the entire experience with The Basic Basement company was like. Seriously, from start to finish. First person we met with was Eddie Spall. He arrived at our house at 6pm and did not leave until 9:30pm. He definitely took his time in making sure we felt comfortable, happy and excited about moving forward with our decision. It wasn’t all business with him, he shared his own personal stories and even gave advice. He walked us through the financing process, yes, financing which was a huge plus. After that is when Gail stepped in and took care of everything from permit packets to scheduling ever trade and keeping us up to date on the schedule to come. Each trade was polite, professional and most importantly, clean and organized. When the project came to a close, I was actually a little bummed out. What am I going to do now? Enjoy my newly finished basement!!

Basic Basement finished our basement this summer and did a fantastic job. From start to finish, they had our interests in mind and never tried to upsell us on anything. It started with Bobby, who visited our home and provided us a computer-generated layout based on measurements and observations made that day. He spent several hours with us and answered all our initial questions and concerns, all the way up until we signed our contract and scheduled our start date. Gail, the project coordinator, was prompt and courteous when communicating with us throughout each phase of the project - framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile, painting, and inspections. She was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. Mike, one of the onsite coordinators, was awesome to work with and basically acted as our voice to the contractors - not that they were not courteous, but sometimes it is easy for a layperson to explain things to someone with more knowledge who can then communicate that to the workers. Mike regularly visited to check up on the progress and make sure things were on schedule. Lastly, all the contractors that Basic Basement uses were very professional, neat, and respectful of our property. They often finished ahead of their estimated timeframe - very dedicated workers. All in all, Basic Basement made an intimidating job for a homeowner a breeze, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality finished basement. The results speak for themselves!

Excellent customer service. Well planned and no deviation from the original design plan. Help you at every step especially in getting township approvals.Highly skilled workers and finish the job on time , neat and clean. Inform you about the schedule well in advance and accommodate changes per your need. Inspect at each and every stage to make sure it meets the customer expectations. I give 5 out of 5 for this company .A major portion of the payment is taken only when the project is complete which is nice about them.they kept the pathways , driveways, stairs neat through out the work and no hassle for the homeowners. We are so happy we went with Basic Basement to finish our basement. One of the best decisions and investments we could have made in our home! Everyone from the painters to electricians to the drywall installers were professional, on time and tidy. Every step of the way our floors were covered and everything was cleaned up by the end of the day. One of the best parts of the whole process was having the pleasure of working with Gail. She kept us informed by providing detailed emails of our schedule for the week and anything required of us. Our basement is now one of our family's favorite places to hang out.
