This is the second time that we've used the Basic Basement Company to finish a basement for us. We are very happy with the results. The process was smooth, timely and professional. Pricing was fair and reasonable. Communication was excellent. Great work!

I rarely write reviews but would like to acknowledge the outstanding service provided by this company. Every contractor was reliable, courteous and did top notch work on my basement project. The scheduler was also on top of everything and very responsive. Highly recommend the Basic Basement Company!

Met with salesman Dan, very nice and personable. He was not pushy in the least and was very knowledgeable. Gail in main office is the coordinator for all facets of the job. Could not ask for a better communicator. She was on top of our job from permits to completion. These guys are very efficient. They have different crews for all the trades required and they’re good. Overall we are very pleased with our basement. And, because of Gail’s communication and their efficiency and price, we look forward to using this company for our kitchen.

We had our basement finished and it was completed well ahead of schedule. Gail and Kevin were wonderful to work with and always responded in a timely manner. They walked us through every step of the process and there were no major hiccups at all. Great customer service and a great job on finishing the basement! Lastly, the price was unbeatable.

I can not say enough about Basic Basement Co. They were amazing to work with from start to finish. Kevin was the first person we met with and he walked us through the process. Gail was always responsive and extremely helpful every step of the way. Bob, our Project Manager, made sure everything ran smoothly and was so helpful in making our vision come to life. We have just completed our basement finishing project and from the first phone-call I have been delighted with Basic Basements. The short review is , just hire them right now - best contractors I have ever worked with for professionalism, and quality: They recognize that time is valuable, so when they said the time they would arrive, they kept to it at the first meeting, and for every single stage of the project. They were very clear on what the job would entail, and a transparent quote that was provided the same day as a consultant visited. So already they are streets ahead of almost any other contractors (I had a couple just not turn up, and others turn up and then spend 2 weeks or more to provide a quote for the work). Upon giving a deposit, I was assigned a project manager, and a scheduler, and the company filled out all of the necessary permit paperwork to make that stage easy with my local town. Once the permits were approved, a date was set, and again, the full timeline, and stages were gone through. They even managed to start the job 2 days earlier than planned (unheard of) and in a single day had the entire basement framed, and insulated. They have their own professionals on staff, so are not reliant on sub-contractors, meaning that what they said would happen happened, on time, to budget. They also were extremely friendly, and observed all possible safety precautions whilst being in my home. Our town inspections (which they scheduled) were over in minutes with the town's inspector saying "these guys always do great work" meaning again that the job sailed along. So, a month after the job began, In the middle of a global pandemic, I have a fully finished basement, meaning virtual schooling is 100% easier, home working 100% easier, and the best part is, they stuck exactly to the agreed budget which, unlike other quotes was not padded because of my zipcode. I would (and have already) recommended them in a heartbeat - they made a major project easy, and seamless, as it should be.

We have been using Basic Companies since 2014. We had them finish our basement (2014), remodel our kitchen (2018) and add a bathroom in the basement (2020). In all cases, the projects were completed on time, budget and with the highest quality. Needless to say, we are very satisfied and will be going to them for our next remodeling project. You cannot go wrong with this company.

Overall I liked and enjoyed all the people who came to do the work with such great professionalism, spirit and a well communicated staff during the entire process. I really liked their enthusiasm and dedication they brought to the place. It would be a great injustice if I didn’t name a few people here like Gail, Bob, Jerry, the framers, electricians, carpenters, painters and all support staff who made it happen. I will definitely recommend this company to all my friends and people I know who are looking to do any kind of work in their basement. Excellent! They responded very quickly when I requested a quote and they delivered in all aspects! Every deadline was met, the workmanship is phenomenal, and I had no little to no issues. Gail kept me updated every step of the way. I knew exactly what was happening and when. They were on time and very professional. They completed a total remodel including the floor. Absolutely beautiful! So glad I choose them for the project!!

Quality craftsmanship at a great price. This is not a “basic” company, they are a highly efficient organization whose model is the future to home remodeling. This company did excellent work and i would recommend again. Gail who was my project manager was a pleasure to work with and got the work done on a timely basis even with the Virus and the many slowdowns.

After looking around for couple of months & being tired of doing so, we finally nailed down on the Basic Basement Companies for our basement finishing project and boy was it a great decision or what! We did not want a cookie-cutter design & wanted it done our way with the highest degree of quality but also in a quick time frame. I must mention here that they checked all the boxes & more...they were really top-notch through the entire gig! We started the project in Feb 2020 but had to stop soon due to the COVID-19 situation. They were so accommodating & told me to call them back whenever I feel comfortable to restart the project. I called them sometime in late June/early July and within a week they were back. The speed of execution, the co-ordination & the project management is second to none. Here are some highlights - - Let’s start with Todd, the sales guy who gave me the best price but more importantly explained everything so patiently as I had a few specific requests. - Next up Gail. I would just use one word for her - ROCKSTAR! She is truly one of the best people I have worked with & knows how to help and please customers. From scheduling their crew to come in per my accelerated request to scheduling the inspections, she was a one-stop-shop for anything & everything. - Finally Bob, the Project Manager. He is probably the smoothest operator I have come across & ensures his customers understand every step of the process and works with his customers until they are satisfied. One other key thing that I'd like to call out is that they have different teams for different kinds of work (that helps with the expertise & precision of every job) but everyone came with the required PPE to ensure safety during these unprecedented times. I highly recommend Basic Basement Companies for any remodeling projects that anyone might want to do in their respective homes.

The experience with the basic basement company was like no other, it ran so smooth from the time the project started till the time the project ended. I would highly recommend this company for any remodels anyone is looking for .great price awesome quality well thought out and always have your best interest in mind.If you ever have any questions about anything going on with your project Gail and Bob respond back immediately which is great. From start to finish, this project was executed professionally. We received a thorough quote, including a walk-trough of options, measurements, and necessities. The permit packet I received even complimented by the township for being so thorough. The project manager set timeline expectations on the first day, and each day of construction was clearly coordinated. Our project was stalled half way through due to COVID, but as soon as we were allowed, everything resumed with the same precision. In the end, our unfinished, dungeon-like basement was transformed into a cozy, well-lit space. We got the perfect basement well within our budget. Amazing job!!! Took are unfinished basement and turned it into a whole new living area. They put in a French drain to combat any water as we have a high water table and it was always damp down there, now it is bone dry. Then they turned our dark unfinished area to a bright space that will offer us years of enjoyment. EVERY crew that came in did an amazing job!! All were very friendly and professional and always clean up at the end of the day, even if they weren’t finished with their respective job. Gail is an amazing quarterback and was simply a pleasure to work with. I spoke to the owner Stuart several times during the project as he offered insight and design throughout which was great. We started the project and was halted during the Pandemic and they kept us in the loop the whole time about stopping and restarting. When we restarted they were very cautious and made sure we felt safe along with making their crew feel safe. Their pricing was unbeatable, we had several contractors come and give estimates and not only were their estimates a lot higher they also weren’t guaranteed like Basic Basements Co. Throughout the whole job there were NO hidden charges, up charges, or hidden fees so we knew actually what we were budgeted for. We’ve had a lot of work done on our house and several contractors working on our house for several years, but Basic Basement Co. was by far the best quality and best service of any contractors we have worked with. Thank you for making our basement into an area my family will hang out in and enjoy for years to come.

From start to finish, Basic Basements was A++++! We have done several remodeling projects over the past 5 years with smaller independent companies, and always seemed to run into issues. With the Basic Basement, we got exactly what we wanted, delivered in a super efficient timeline. Gail is an INCREDIBLE office manager and kept our project moving along quickly, and Kevin was a fantastic project manager, making tweaks to our plan to keep our vision in tact. Right from providing quote, project management, price and quality of job is incredible. The planning piece is a key and hallmark of basic basement. All the teams is super knowledgeable, professional, courteous and subject matter expert who came in for plumbing, carpenter, flooring, electrician and township approval process including excellent project management. The entire project is so transparent and all technical subject matter experts have had patience to explain me and walk me through various aspects to make appropriate choices time to time. We are glad to chose basic basement for our job and we highly recommend. They take pride in what they do. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire them for all my future project.
