Description of Work: Basic Basement was a breeze to work with. I had approximately 600sqft of space in my basement that I wanted to be finished. Tony the estimator was a no-pressure gentleman, who spent plenty of time drawing up my vision. Bob was a responsive and knowledgeable project manager, who addressed all needs and concerns promptly. Gail, the project coordinator was a pleasure to work with, really making the project come together. Each team (framing, electric, drywall, spackle and finishers) were on-time, professional and polite. They all showed grace when I asked a lot of questions and were patient when I explained my desires. This company has a high volume of jobs (which makes them very experienced), but more impressive to me was the customer service and the open line of communication. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Basic Basements was a dream to work with. First, Jerry was great and helpful with the design. Bob was a consumer focused site manager and the workers all went the extra mile. It was as if they were working on their own home and added touches to make it more than a job. Gail is an outstanding project manager who kept tabs on everything and did so with a pleasant and caring outlook. Couldn't be happier with the company and results.

Description of Work: Our bathroom was gutted down to the studs and redone in a week. Tiled, painted, and completely finished, just as they promised, in 5 days! They kept my home clean the whole time, which was a chore for them to do, as my bathroom is small.

Description of Work: Basic Basement finished my basement, approximately 1100 square feet. The job included the creation of three distinct spaces (an office, gym and media area) and a full bath. I found the quality of the work to be very good. However, I would advise anyone considering using them to ensure they fully understand what is included in the contract. I chose the "paint" ready option thinking drywall would be sanded and sealed and nail holes would be filled. Instead, I learned this was not included, leaving quite a bit of work to be done after the final payment to Basic Basement. Nonetheless, I have no complaints regarding the quality of work completed and would recommend Basic Basement as a basement finisher.

Description of Work: I had put a elliptical on a corner and the framer framed around it and now I can't take it out without breaking the frame. When I called them twice, no response. |Water started to leak while they were still doing the work and they couldn't figure out where it's coming from. It leaked around the same spot after a year and now they say it's not on warranty. They simply don't respond!!

+ 0 moreThey were the most professional business I have ever used. The PM's were very responsive. Everyone they hired showed up on time and were very clean and professional. The materials they used were from home depot and they were high quality. Most of my friends have horror stories about getting their basements put in but not me. These guys were easy to deal with and very professional. When I tell me friends how much I paid they are shocked by how reasonable it is. I would highly recommend them.

He knew exactly what we needed, typed up everything into his computer, and emailed me his estimate before he even left the house on the first visit. We changed the plan a few times and signed the detal. His people were here a few weeks later, the job was initiated and completed in the time they said it would take. Not one hiccup.Very competent installers and professional experience. I highly recommend them.

They had a group that would do the follow up. They gave us exactly what we needed. They didn’t add anything to the estimate that wasn’t needed or requested. They also had the flexibility to work with a TV show and they had done it in the past. They did offer a price guarantee. There was a guarantee that the price wouldn’t go above what was guaranteed. They had adequate references. They were established company. They had good infrastructure. I’m working with them. They are good. I hope they hold up the promise and do the work. The price was fair. I would use them in the future.

Other than the noise, I did not know there were even workers in the house. Everything was cleaned up each day. I was communicated with regularly via email to be kept aware of who was coming when. All callouts were corrected immediately We waited 4 years to do this project. the price was reasonable, the rooms are beautiful and I am glad I could use a local company. We love it!
Description of Work: Finished approximately 1,000 sq feet in my basement. Opened staircase, added closet, moved vent line. Handled all permit paperwork, scheduling of inspections, framing, drywall, electrician, painters.

+ 3 moreMy husband and I visited the Basement Store in Flemington, NJ. This might be a drive for some folks but it is definitely worth the trip. The showroom is complete with everything you need to plan and design your new basement. You can see the whole project from start to finish. Dominick was great. Very knowledgeable. The great thing is that his service does it all. We had a 1/2 bathroom put in. His service provided the plumbing, electrical, tiling, flooring everything. His guys and gals were clean, professional and helped me with some of my design choices. Most importantly I could not beat the price! I had received some really high prices from other contractors. CHECK THEIR WEBSITE... a 1,000 sq ft basement for $9,900. I added some high end custom work to my project which is why my cost was $21,000. I highly recommend them.
