Just a couple of facts: I actually ordered this from Living Social and called him to make an appointment. He had Angie's List on his website so my presumption was that he was reliable and dependable (this was before I became a member of Angie's List) 1. When I called to make an appointment, he didn't have the time to take down my information so he asked me to text it to him. 2. My appointment was on August 31 at 9:00. When he didn't arrive, I called his cell phone at about 9:30. No answer. I called later, about 10:00, and realized by his demeanor that he wouldn't be coming to detail our car. He answered the phone like he had been sleeping or that he was expecting a friend to be at the other end of the phone. When I mentioned my name, he said, "oh, you're the one with the Ford SUV". I said he was supposed to be here at 9:00 and he didn't say anything. I asked him why he didn't call and he said he didn't have my phone number. I told him I sent him a text and e-mail with all the information and he said he didn't have that phone with him (which also meant he didn't have the text so he didn't have the address and had no intention of fulfilling his obligation). He said he was on the Garden State Parkway and had a flat tire (he is just a couple of miles away from my home, in the next town, so he wouldn't have to take the Parkway to get here- it was out of his way to do so). I asked him if he could make it later in the day. He said, yes, maybe at 1:00. I said ok, then he said that maybe he couldn't make it at 1:00 and couldn't tell me the time he would be here because he didn't know if he could make it at that time. I asked how much later and he said it depended on what time AAA would be there. (that's 3 hours from the 10:00 I spoke to him). He said he could make it Monday, maybe. (Monday was Labor Day - we knew he would't come that day and probably didn't realize what he was saying). He said he would call at 12:00, but we knew by his nonchalant and non-caring attitude that the call wouldn't happen. 3. I told him he had a great website, but that if he wanted a good business he better not BS his customers and better get his act together. Also, I had a son and heard all the excuses, especially when he wanted to get out of work. 4. After talking it over, my husband called him back and told him not to bother that he wanted a refund. He told us to call Living Social to get our money back. He never apologized, never called at another time to rectify the situation and he really didn't seem that he cared. I personally think it was a holiday weekend and he had already started his celebrating.. 5.This immature person is about as un-professional as anyone I have contacted. I had presumed that in placing my wishes and money with Living Social and that he was on Angie's List I wouldn't have had to worry. I did contact Living Social. They are refunding our money and are pushing thiis information to a higher level to review other customer's satisfaction.
