Great family owned and operated construction business. Price was fair and quality of work and materials is unbeatable. Work was done quickly and efficiently only being held up a bit by some material delivery delay. Screening-in the existing covered porch and attached ground level deck looks really beautiful and very well made. Highly recommend Mark and his nephew Matt.

Mark built a deck for our vacation home in December 2021. Our project required a variance from our municipality and Mark was very supportive and provided the additional construction information required by the Borough. Our project also required the relocation of our electrical service, relocation of baseboard heating, and the installation of a sliding glass door. Once the variance was secured, Mark scheduled the project and delivered the deck on time, within budget, and with high quality. Mark coordinated all aspects of the project including electrical, plumbing, and utility contractors. We are very pleased with our deck and we would highly recommend Mark Heslin Builders to anyone considering a decking project.

I had a good experience with this pro deck builder. All concerns were addressed and questions answered. I had a large deck and platform built and was pleased with the end result. If you want a deck built go with a deck builder. I would highly recommend Mark Heslin Builders without hesitation.

Mark is a great guy to work with. Started and finished the job on-time. Great quality. Deck looks fantastic and his pricing was the best in the area. UPDATE: There was a minor issue with locating an opening in the lattice work under the deck. They put it in the wrong location. Asked Mark to fix it and six months later, after many call and texts, they never came back to finish. So, my fault, I shouldn't have paid in full before I was completely satisfied. Seemed like such a nice guy and the rest of the work was fine. I even offered to pay more, even though it was their fault. My last message to him was "so, I guess I'll never hear from you again" and I never did. Such a shame!

Mark has a good knowledge of structure and building standards. I asked for some structural upgrades and he was able to accommodate me. His team was professional and did great work. Mark likes specific lighting products which differed from my preferences but we eventually came together on somethingâ s that met my needs. He also follows up and quickly addressed finishing touches

I got quotes from 5 different builders. Most of them were all in the same ballpark, but Mark was the only one who gave me an exact number and drawings on his first visit. The whole process was turn-key, he handled all the permits and inspections. Overall the deck looks great, but I would not recommend Heslin Builders. The price for the deck was over $50 per sqft, and I do not feel like that is reflected in all of the finished work. Pros: Friendly, family-owned, handles all the permits, responsive, reputable, licensed, built to code. Cons: Never finished the job. When Mark was not on-site his crew did not follow plans discussed with Mark. The deck was not built to the end of the house, I had to add extra boards after I pointed it out. The access through lattice was not done, so cannot get to the outlet. A lot of the miter cuts are not square. There are screws that were not plugged because they were not driven in all the way. When I asked to fix it. They said these screws do not come out even though supposedly these boards can be replaced under warranty. The yard was left a mess for 2 weeks. I had to move the lumber pile myself twice to keep the lawn from dying. I had to pick up scraps, screws, and trash every day to let my dogs out. I kept pushing back the finish date. My brother-in-law would come for 2 or 3 hours and then leave. It took a week to finish trim and railings. Mixed concrete in a wheelbarrow then blasted it with the hose all over siding, grill, and back door. It was never cleaned up. Decking and railing that were sitting on the lawn for 2 weeks were never wiped down. So, I had a brand new deck covered in dirt.

Hired Mark Heslin after his work on our daughters deck. The work on their deck was excellent. After seeing his work, we hired him to build a upper level deck on the back of our home. We needed to have a step up on our deck to have some added head room under our deck for a seating arrangement. Mark handled all of our needs and the colors of the decking including a black trim around the deck added a specific charm. Mark's attention to detail was amazing, he took care of all the permits and all the planning. The deck build was amazing and the end product was just what we wanted. Mark and his crew of employees worked tirelessly and completed the deck in the time frame we expected. You will not go wrong hiring Mark Hesslin.

Mark Heslin did a great job replacing our wooden front porch railings with Vinyl. Professional contract drawn up prior to the job with all the costs outlined. Removed all the debris when the job was completed. Job well done!! Highly recommend.

Heslin Builders is a family-run highly professional business. It began with a visit to the house to discuss the plans, and to show us the various choices Treks has to offer. The project was started and finished on-time, and the results were far better than I expected, and I m a tough one to please. Bottom line: I ll be using them again and again in the future.
