second time used, handyman was very good.....but you don't know who is going to show up to do the work

Rodger was great. Very professional and friendly and finished the job in a timely manner.

The craftsman was prompt and courteous. He did a great job replacing the wood on our deck. He also power washed and sealed it. Now our deck looks very clean!

I started to remove wallpaper in the entrance way. The wall behind was plaster and was basically being held up by the wallpaper (there had once been a radiator there that had leaked and caused the damage.). After removing the paper the wall was crumbling. I called Handyman Connection and they put me in touch with Anthony Amato who was able to come over a few days later. He cleared away any of the wall that was damaged and replaced it with a piece of drywall. He had to return two more times for re-spackling and sanding. He was prompt, professional and cleaned up any dust each time.

This service was prompt and professional. I appreciated the way my calls and inquiries were handled. The estimate was fiar (we got 3 estimates from 3 different companies. We decided to go with a less expensive option. I would definitely work with this company in the future.

The worker was a nice enough guy. During the day I would ask to see his progress and he said he didn't like to show people till he was done for the day. I waited and when I went in he had installed the tiles in the wrong direction but it was too late and I went with it. He did not use tile spacers but used ripped cardboard pieces. The final product, the tiles are not totally even. There was an inch difference in the height of the tiles around the wall. There were spots where grout was missing in the shower tiles. The wooden trim around the door frame and window frame did not meet up and large gaps were left. The cutout on the sheetrock around the electrical opening and light switch were jagged, finished poorly and too large. The cutout of tile around the pipes under the sink were horrible. I did not call to complain because I did not want the same person to be sent out to me. I would just never use them again. My Response to the Provider Response 5/11/15 When I originally called the Handyman Connection, I was told they were sending me the best tiler they had. That is the first thing that mad eme think this is the best they have. I did not move into my new home with my infant twins until a month after the work was done. I then went back to work and life took over. I should have called to complain but I didn't want to deal with excuses etc. Again, this was the best tiler that was sent to me. I did sign the paper of the work but that was my mistake in not going into the bathroom with a fine tooth comb prior to it. I should have gone in w a measuring tape and measuring the height of the tile and seeing that tiles were uneven, etc prior to signing the paper. This is another reason that i didn't call to complain. In addition, I had already waited long enough to move into the home and did not want to lose my main bathroom for more time and I had no time to take off of work. It left such a bad taste in my mouth I didn't want further bad work. My direct response to Stephen White, the owner, who called me ridiculous for leaving this review so late, I reviewed this at this time because Angies List kept asking for my review. If you look at the other reviews that I have left, that were positive, they also were long after the work was done. I did not specifically pick you out. I just called you and left you a message to speak to you. Maybe something to consider is to have someone from your office speak to the homeowners after work is done to make sure that they are satisfied.

He did a lot of little odds and ends jobs, and they all turned out well.

Professionally installed but did not take away old materials and did not provide us with the small white plastic screw hole covers.

We recently moved into the area and needed some stuff around the house taken care of. We reached out to Handyman Connection based on Angieslist reviews and do not regret. The owner, Stephen White, promptly returned my call and we scheduled an appointment. Stephen brought out one of his handymen, Jerry Kosan, and together we walked through a litany of items that our inspector pointed out during the inspection... Stephen and Jerry gave us fair pricing on all items and also helped prioritize what needed to be done now versus what was not necessary/could be pushed off. As for the work itself, I communicated directly with Jerry, who was extremely helpful. He came over a second time to take proper measurements, helped us select the right door, and even picked it up for us from the store. The back door was more difficult than expected, but Jerry was thorough and did great work. Jerry also gave me some helpful do-it-yourself tips for minor things around the house. All in all, I was very happy with the experience and would use these guys again for future work around the house.

This job went very well, it took one full day and two half days. The contractor was on time, worked hard and the job was reasonably priced. We would use Handyman Connection again.

Steve promptly replied to my request for assistance and arranged for handyman Ted DeSalvo to coordinate w/me for scheduling the visit to scope out the project. Ted's estimate was fair and since he was available, he start that very day. Ted is quiet and has a easy going manner..he worked quickly and quietly went about completing the various tasks w/out complaint. The jobs required several days work and Ted was punctual, professional and courteous each day. Ted made recommendations as appropriate and we loved the shelving that he selected for our pantry closet. Overall workmanship is great, Ted takes pride in his work. This was our first time using Handyman Connection and it won't be our last!! I highly recommend this service.

My fence needed a fresh coat of paint and parts of it needed stain. Initial communication was very easy to have somebody come out to give me an estimate. Hugh the handyman gave me a quote and it was very easy to schedule a time to do the work. He was very punctual, professional and did a great job (including cleaning up afterwards). A great experience and a great looking fence.

Where to start? I knew nothing about remodeling. Basically a total novice and the idea of starting this overhaul was pretty overwhelming for me. I contacted Handyman Connection, told them what I wanted, and asked if they could help me. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that Handyman sent one of their finest craftsmen, Chris DeLorenzo, my way. I thank the universe every single day. I could not have done this major bathroom overhaul without his patience and expertise. Since I was responsible for providing all the materials, I literally depended on him 100% to help me make sure I was buying exactly what was needed for the remodel. All I had for him to go on really was a vision of what I wanted bathroom to look like when it was done. Black walls, white wainscoting, tile, floor, crown molding and baseboards, fixtures and vanity. Chris has given me exactly what I hoped to get..a beautiful black and white bathroom. He is so skillful and does absolutely beautiful work in all areas: sheetrocking, tiling, flooring, painting - really everything. He's so neat and exacting - straight edges, no paint smudges on the crown molding and wainscoting - with black walls it would be easy to see mistakes - there just aren't any. He cares about the small details and wants to be sure everything is as it should be. He also knows how to fix everything. And I do mean everything. He is respectful, so very polite, and cleans up after himself every day. He also likes dogs and, since I have 3 of them, that was sort of important to a degree. My bathroom is pretty large - this was a big job and I'm so very, very happy with the work he's done for me. If you want any kind of work done in your home, ask for Chris ..I promise you will not be disappointed. And, before I forget, dealing with Handyman Connection was painless.

Bill came right away for the estimate and after a short discussion, we decided to hire him. My husband was home for the work and he told me that everything went smoothly. Bill arrived on time and got right to work. He needed to leave at some point to let it dry and set (plus go have a lunch!) and came back to finish the job. We're very happy with the workmanship. Left it in very good condition and cleaned up afterwards. Would re-hire for future jobs.

I joined Angie's list on Sept 18, 2014, because we found it hard to find a reliable handyman. I reviewed the list of handyman companies on Angie's list and chose Handyman Connection, located in my town. I called and spoke to the manager, Steve White, who was very professional and referred me to one of his employees, Ted DeSalvo, who called me shortly thereafter . We set up an appointment for an estimate on Tuesday, 9/23. Mr. DeSalvo arrived on time, was very courteous and professional, and wrote up an estimate, which I agreed to. (Subsequently, I contacted a couple more companies and their estimates were all higher). Mr. DeSalvo arrived right on time on the start date. He was well organized, made the repairs in an orderly manner, and the work was done with care, in a timely manner, and he was very neat and clean. He worked from 9:30 to approx. 4:00. Mr. DeSalvo came back two days later and painted the crack he'd repaired in the LR ceiling (after the plaster had dried). He did a good job blending the paint. We provided the blind and the paint for the ceiling and trim. We were charged $4.84 for materials Mr. DeSalvo bought. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Handyman Connection to anyone who needs various small repairs around the house. We are very happy!! Everything went great. Tony was sent to the house and did great work. All trim was mitered and fit perfectly. He was very clean and cleaned up after he was done. Very nice and polite and informed me when something unexpected came up. Price was very reasonable, especially for the quality of work. I would use again for sure.

Bill Little came to give an estimate. He came back the following week as promised with the parts and finished the job in record time, well done, within the estimated price. He is a very pleasant person, easy to deal with and he explains the work he intends to do before giving a price. I was extremely satisfied and would hire him again in an instant.

He did a fantastic job. He did a very thorough job of cleaning the shed first and removing all the mildew. The staining also looks great, makes the shed look brand new. The technician was very professional, clean and efficient. The estimate was spot on and very competitive. I will definitely have them back. I would highly recommend them.
