Description of Work: Purchased a deal offering "$1,699 200 AMP Electrical Panel Upgrade" from AVD Electrical. When I called to make the appointment I was told that I actually had purchased an "UPDATE" for my panel and they would replace my existing panel for a new one. If I wanted to upgrade from my 150 AMP to a 200 AMP it would cost me $1999. I explained to the person on the line that the advertised deal was listed for an UPGRADE not UPDATE. Once again I was told that there was another deal I could buy for that for $1999. At this point I thanked them and told them for that kind of money I could use my electrician who I knew and trusted and I contacted Angies List for a prompt refund.

Description of Work: He did good job installation. He arrived on time. The only thing I am not happy about was the money I actually spent. The cost saving from Angies List did not materialize because two defective knob control in the 10-circuit breakers made by Reliance Control. We should inspect before installation.

Description of Work: The electrician responded immediately to my phone call and said that he could come that same day if I would like. He arrived and removed an outdated lighting fixture in my dining room and replaced it with one I had purchased. I had bought 2 hours of service for $99.00 from Angies List, and it took him less than the two hours. We also wanted him to check some problems we were having with electrical outlets (sparking when used), but he said we should book a separate appointment for that, which I understand. This would be more time consuming that just installing a light. I would get a couple of quotes before proceeding; however, I was happy with this company's work.
