victor installed a generator for us. he was very professional. responded very quickly. did the job in a couple of hours and came under estimate. I would highly recommend him.

Victor was supposed to do the job one day later, but because there was a snowstorm coming, he agreed to do two jobs in one day and accomodate my request to do the job one day earlier. Victor showed up on time, did a great job according to the contract. No games, no bait-and-switch - simply delivering on what he had promised earlier. I was very impressed and will call him again in the future.

AVD Electric came and provided estimate for job. The estimate was very reasonable. Once I approved we scheduled date to perform work. We needed to file for permit, AVD assisted in process. AVD contacted the local utility company to open outside service panel to start the job. Once all the prerequisites completed the job was done the next available business day. The completed work was inspected but AVD needed to return in response to town inspectors request to reroute cables. The work was done quickly and at no additional charge. AVD was clean, courteous and professional.

Victor came to my house to assess the situation and was able to find the proper breaker for my electrical panel. We agreed on the cost and a date to install the system. Victor was prompt and completed the work in a few hours. He was neat and clean and I am very satisfied with his work.

.AVD Electric is owned by Victor Varela, a young electrician who recently started his own business. He installed a generator transfer switch at my home that I had purchased as an Angie's List "Big Deal". The deal itself was very reasonably priced, $850 for the entire job including all parts and labor. I was very pleased with Victor. He contacted me initially to arrange the installation, showed up on time, seemed very knowledgable, answered all my questions and, as far as I can tell, did an excellent job. I would certainly use AVD again and can highly recommend Victor based on my one experience.

did a good job. he was courteous and seemed to know his craft extremely well. Familiar with the issue and did an elegant installation that i feel good about. Moved quickly--he wasn't going to waste any of my money. one area of dispute was whether the Big Deal included an evaluation of the wiring in the house. The ad said yes, he said no. Angie's List is investigating and will get back to me. Personally if i were he i'd have just done it--possibility of more work--but he felt strongly this wasn't what he'd signed up for. UPDATE 1/24 from Angie's List: AL read him the wording of the posting, clearly indicating an electrical inspection is included, but he doesnt want to do it. Weird--also AL is supposed to get this wrapped up one way or another and is a bit late.

My wife and I decided after the past hurricane that we would purchase a portable generator for back up power during the next storm. I went in Angie's list and selected AVD Electric LLC. From the initial call to set up an appointment to when he left after the job was completed, Victor was professional, on time, pleasant and gave valuable information to help in the purchase of the proper equipment and installation. Victor did something very rare in the world of construction folks, he did exactly what he said he would do without the typical BS that so many deliver these days. I purchased the $99 coupon on Angie's list for an electrical inspection, and used the time purchased to try to solve the problem of our lights dimming. We had previously contacted another electrician who did not fix the problem, so we tried AVD Electric. Victor arrived for the appointment as promised and had the problem solved within an hour. I would highly recommend AVD Electric.

All went well with contractor arriving on time with all materials that were needed for the project. Explained details of the project as the work progressed.

He actually came earlier than the appointment time. He did an excellent job quickly and very efficiently. He did not leave a mess behind.

He came the same day I bought the coupon for his services. He was punctual and seemed to e a nice guy.

He was very prompt, even a little early. When he installed the new GFi outlet in the bathroom, he told me that the light is not normally wired through the GFI and offered to fix that, which he did. He was very professional, and appeared to know his business! If necessary, I would call him again.

After buying the offer, I sent an email to the company with my phone number. Victor called me back right away, set a date of coming by, came to my home on time, and checked everything I asked him to look at. He was very polite and easy to deal with. He explained why I had a problem with one outlet and advised me of how to circumvent it. He also checked my electric box and tested other outlets. Because I was pleased with what he did, I then asked him to estimate the cost of installing ceiling heat lamps in 2 bathrooms and a ceiling light in one room. I accepted his estimates and have scheduled the work. UPDATE: I did call Victor back and he did an excellent job installing the heat lamps and ceiling light. It was more expensive than I had expected, but it too so much time that I think it was a reasonable price. In addition, I appreciated that Victor was able to schedule his work for the same day my painting contractor would also come to do painting and wallpaper repairs that were needed after the lamps and light installation. I was very pleased and would definitely call this company in the future.

He gave us the fair price for the additional work we asked him to perform and stayed within the quote he gave us orginally. He provided us with all parts needed in order to finish the job and completed it very professionally and neat. So, we are keeping his contact info for our future projects.
