I have not yet had the opportunity to use the product since we have not lost service since the super storm in 2012.

I found AVD and called before 8 am. In less than an hour Victor returned my call - I really had no hope of finding anyone on Saturday who would help with my emergency. Victor was at my house on time and diagnosed the problem - there was a short in the outlet and it needed to be replaced. He did the job, was super nice, polite - he even showed me where the problem was in the outlet. I highly recommend AVD and intend to use them again. Its not often that you find someone like Victor!

From quote through permit through completion of the job, everything was perfect and professional. Victor was articulate about the work that he was going to do, and showed how to use the switch when he was done. The wall sconce switch was done perfectly! Update: 12/15/2015 After a great past experience I called Victor today to install a wall outlet for a television on a wall that didn't have an outlet. He was responsive and came the same day! I asked him about a permit. He said he would be the one to apply for the permit, but he wasn’t sure who was supposed to call the electric company to turn off the power.

Victor did an excellent job, he had to come out a number of different times due to issues with the weather and some other construction I am having done on my house. He shows up promptly and is polite and professional. The panel passed inspection without any issues. I will use him again and would highly recommend AVD to anyone who asks.

We called Victor for the Angies list big deal for a 6 circuit transfer kit. He arrived when promised and explained how the transfer panel/generator works. We decided to up the deal to 10 circuits and decided to purchase the generator thru him. The generator arrived and he immediatly scheduled a day/time for instillation. He again was prompt and the entire job was completed in a few hours. He actually went thru each breaker with me, to make sure the 10 I chose were the ones I wanted. He assembled the generator and made certain not only that it worked properly, but that I knew how to start/run the system. Then, "while you are here, could you".....and I had him do a few extra things (install another outlet out doors and fix a basement light etc.. He completed these requests at either next to nothing pricing or at no charge! He went to the township and applied for the permit. The inspector came, and passed the work with flying colors! I have since emailed Victor with questions, and have gotten quick replies with helpful answers! Hopefully I will never need to use this generator, but am extremly satisfied with all aspects of AVD Electric! And I would not think twice about calling them again in the future for any electrical needs!

When I first spoke to Victor he outlined exactly what he was prepared to do for the BigDeal price. I explained to him that the wire run for the external connection would be greater than what the deal allowed for and we agreed upon the final cost. Even though I had not fully identified all the breakers that I wanted to be used, he worked with me to figure it all out. (I have an old house with a 40 breaker main panel and not all markings are correct!) When he arrived he did not have exactly what he needed but was able to go to a local supply house for what he needed. After the work was completed he conducted a test with my portable generator and showed me the proper sequence of operation. All in all I was very satisfied and have already recommended Vicot to a colleague.

Terrific young man - arrived on time and knew exactly what he was doing. One outlet was a switch and outlet in one unit, and another outlet and its cover had been painted over so that the whole front of the outlet had come off when someone in the house pulled out a plug with too much force and at an angle. I'm very pleased with his work and his attitude - now I have no worries about the outlets. He has a good manner about him and was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely call him in the future when I need an electrician.

Everything went well with the installation, he was on time and explained our options. We were charged extra for the additional wiring as the distance was greater than that included in the 'big deal'. The job took about 2 and half hours and we are happy with the result. I recommend this provider.

Victor was very responsive and prompt. He did beautiful job and we are very pleased. I would recommend him and will use him for future electrical work.

The representative was very nice and helpful, he was a bit late but he called us 3 different times giving an update. He was able to look around and investigate our electrical situation, and at the end of the day he concluded the Big Deal was not worth the time. I am glad he was honest.

He did the work so we could just plug in the generator when the power goes out.

Did get the work complete yet, but Victor is very responsive and professional with great prices. We are going to use Victor for all of our electric needs!

Telephone service provider recently at 3pm. In 10 minutes they were at my house as promised. Looked the bathroom lighting over. Fixed the overall electrical promblem within a half hour. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, worked neatly, and his fee was fair. Would use him again.

I contacted Victor by e-mail after reading many good reviews for AVD electric listed on Angie's List. . Victor answered all of my questions and scheduled the installation at a time that was convenient for me. He arrived at my house just when he said he would. He asked me where I'd like the outdoor connector and started his work. After completing the installation, Victor showed me how to use the transfer switch and tested it with the generator running to make sure that everything worked properly. Victor took care of the permit application and explained the process for scheduling the inspection. I had the inspection this past Monday and the installation passed with flying colors. If Angie's List had an A+ rating, that's how I'd rate Victor and his company. He did a great job and will definitely use him again if I need electrical work in the future.

I was able to make an appointment for the next day and Victor showed up as promised, very punctual. He performed all the repair work, did not leave any mess and gave additional information about installing a transfer / interlock switch. Very satisfied, highly recommend AVD Electric.

AVD did a great job from the first phone call to the last inspection. Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. We did need some extra parts for a recessed panel, but this ls clearly stated in the Big Deal. The work was done correctly and he even helped with the permits required.

He did a great job explaining everything thoroughly with me and providing advice on how to safely operate. Would certainly work with them on other electrical projects.

job went well even in the pouring rain, Victor attached outlet box for generator to outside wall. His work is high quality and very well priced thanks to Angie's List promotions. The interlock kit will allow me to pick and choose what circuit I want to turn on while the generator enegizes my power-box. He explained how it works, it is entirely a manual switch, so pay attention.
