The estimates (bids) when accepted became fixed price contracts scheduled to begin on the next Tuesday with the A/C unit, followed by the heat pump on Wednesday through Friday. The crew arrived at the agreed upon minute (well actually they were a few minutes early but waited in their trucks). They were very polite and professional and very willing to explain what they were about to do and how it might temporarily impact us. To work in the attic, they asked it they could start an hour earllier so that they could leave once the attic got too hot. We agreed. Each day they cleaned up after themselves so that we hardly knew that they had been here. The new higher efficiency heat pump is working very well as is the new A/C unit. Looking forward to greatly reduced electric bills since neither both units had been running too much due to the problems. If you have a heat pump, these are the guys to call.

After receiving price quotes for a repair and seasonal maintenance, I opted to not use Vaughan Heating and Air Conditioning.

We will be going with them, but we have not had the work yet. They even took the time to look at things and let me know what was missing. They are going to use an installation package and he is making sure it will work for us instead of things coming up later on.

Called company at 7:27am,. We were advised a technician would arrive between 8am -12noon. Tech arrived at 9am, gave options of purchasing part locally or having part overnighted. Tech got part for us locally, returned with part, finished job by 11:30am.

I called them during their off hours and they came and fixed it in an hour. However, they explained that the technician would get paid time and a half. That was okay and they are great.

The person came to give us the estimate exactly when he said he would & the people who installed the units & took away the old ones also came at the appointed time. They were courteous & worked efficiently & finished the job in one day. We were completely happy with the experience.

The dispatcher called me about 15 minutes before the technician was due to arrive. (The appointment had to be schedule for "sometime between 8:00 and 12:00.) He worked on the furnace for about 45 minutes, primarily vacuuming the inner parts, and he replaced the filter. My only complaint is that the technician was not inclined to tell me about what he saw (or didn't see) after he finished cleaning--I had to ask him about it, and he said everything looked fine. Not a big deal, although I always appreciate it when the service technician is willing to teach me about appliance s/he is servicing. All-in-all, it was a good job at an excellent price.

A buyer for our home sent out a home inspector to report on any repairs needed before going to settlement and reported our heater was leaking and making a gurgling noise. We found Jim's Heating & Air Conditioning on Angie's list, which not only had top grades but was a local business. The contractor responded immediate after my e-mail inquiry within Angie's list and we were able to schedule an appointment within days. Anthony was polite, presented himself well and got right to the issue. He explained fully what the problem was--our builder's contractor had reversed the PVC fittings so that condensation and water leakage was inevitable. We had previous service on the heater but none had identified the backward installed joints and just "patched" things. The home inspector had also complained of a gurgling noise that Anthony identified as typical if air is in the line. He explained that after the system is run for a short period, the drain line fills with water and the gurgle sound disappears. He said there was no repair needed for that as it was normal operation on high efficiency stems with drain hose going to PVC drain line.

They were very professional. They gave me the best deal that I could get between them and five other companies that I receved estimates from. They were more up to date on the rebates that would be available to a customer. I was dumbfounded by other companies that sent salesmen to me that didnt know fully what the state and federal rebates were. I found that really interesting. Overall, I am very much happy with their service and I would recommend them.

Could not be happier. From start to finish, the whole experience was great. Professional , clean, friendly, helpful, informative people. I am thankful I found them because my neighbor recommended them.

I called at 8:15a today and spoke with pleasant woman who said that their morning was "full" but that she could fit us in - in the afternoon. Husband and I were juggling who was going to be home to greet them so I called at 3p and asked -- what's an ETA? She called the technician while I was on hold, came back on and said "now." We both got to my house at the same time. The technician diagnosed the problem very quickly and began his work. It took him about 1.5 hours to complete. The house is beginning to cool down almost 2 hours after he arrived.

Jim's prices are very competitive and his service was excellent. There were one or two minor miscommunications about when one of the crew was supposed to stop by and perform a specific task (the process of getting a gas line put in was very slow and step-by-step due to interactions with PECO and our borough here in South Jersey); however, our overall experience with Jim's Heating was outstanding. In fact, when the work took longer than expected, his crew stayed late in an attempt to get the job done and went out of their way to inconvenience us as little as possible. After getting several quotes from various companies, we selected Vaughan because they were the one company that didn't try to oversell. They helped us through the energy efficiency program (and helped us get a $10,000 interest free loan), answered all of our questions with great patience, installed the new units with little disruption to us, and even came back for the energy efficiency inspection to answer any questions the inspector might have had. Everyone that we dealt with was top-notch, very professional. I have every intention of using Vaughan for anything that comes up and highly recommend them.

I called Jim's Heating late on a Friday morning as we had no hot water in the entire home and no heat upstairs (heat has two zones), and was told that a tech would arrive between 12 and 4 pm. Mike, their technician, arrived around 12:30 and spent approximately two hours diagnosing the problem and fixed a valve so that we would have hot water until the heater parts were available. Since heat rises, the upstairs was not unbearably cold, so the delay was acceptable. He returned first thing Monday morning and spent three hours repairing the heater and installing the new parts and some new pipes/valves. He was efficient, very nice, answered all of my questions and cleared up the work area when finished. I would definitely recommend Jim's Heating, particularly for their quick response time and excellent customer service.

I got up in the morning to discover my furnace spontaneously turning off and on at about 30 second intervals. The repetative ignition of the gas had me concerned with leaving the heat running while away, so I called a couple places and Jim's was able to come within a few hours. The problem/solution proved very simple. The flame sensor was dirty, so the safety cut-off kept kicking in and turning the gas off. The technician was here about a half hour and it was up and running again. I was given a 12:00 to 4:00 time slot and he showed up by about 12:30.

It was a smooth and efficient installation. Mike came out to perform the estimate, walked through the house and told us exactly what to expect. He came to the house on the first day with Matt and Josh who did ALL of the work themselves on one of the hottest weeks of the summer. They were very professional, explained everything they were doing and finished early on Friday morning. Early enough for me to have company on Friday afternoon with a comfortable, cool house in which to entertain.

My AC unit sounded different, more of a high low vibration than a steady hum. I don't know how old the unit is, and with this heat wave summer I did not want to take a chance that it would fail if neglected. The office manager understood my concern. We scheduled the appointment for a day I had already requested to have off from work, but she said if anything changed, call immediately to have someone come out sooner. They don't schedule exact times. My appointment was between 8am & noon. Mike arrived at about 9am. He could hear the irregular sound too. He said that the unit was very dirty, and asked if he could use my garden hose. He attached a spray canister of industrial strength coil cleaner and sprayed the unit. A lot of gunk came out. But a few minutes after he was done, the unit sounded like its old self again, maybe even better. He checked the pressure and that was fine. Then he hosed the dirty water off the driveway for me. He told me that it should run more efficiently, now that the coils were clean. And he made sure that I change the filter in the house on a regular basis. (I write the date on them so I know when it is time for a new one.) He was friendly, courteous, professional and efficient. I appreciate that he did not try to sell me anything that I did not need. The unit was always noisy, and its location near multiple walls just amplified it. But is seems less noisy now. I plan to have them come back in the fall to service my gas heater before heating season.

We decided after talking to a neighbor & doing some research online that we wanted a Trane AC put in & Vaughan was listed as a specialist in our area.They sent someone out right away to discuss what we would need. He did a very good job of explaining our options & we were happy to have the installation done pretty quickly considering that we were experiencing a heat wave & it was their busiest season. They had to remove our old natural gas furnace & AC & we were very pleased with the technicians they sent to do the job. They were punctual, polite & did a clean job. The damper system (a separate thermostat for the 3rd floor) seems to be keeping things & cool.

My air conditioner broke down on a stifling 84 degree day. The company said they would send a technician to inspect the unit after I called. What is upsetting is that the company should have inspected the air conditioner before the summer even began.

The estimate was itemized and detailed enough for us to analyze and make decisions. Mike Giordano listened to all of our needs and thoroughly incorporated them into the estimate the first time. He didn't try to oversell, but was thoughtful and straightforward. The installation went quickly and smoothly, no backtracking, no need for reworking. They worked professionally with our GC. Only slight price differential from other estimates of other, less reputable equipment. Price estimate from 12 months prior did not go up due to state rebates. Hutchinson estimate $50k for same work. Highly recommend.

The job went smoothly. Jim's guys arrived on time, got right to work. The only delay was the new heating unit was damaged when removed from it's carton. It was replaced right away. We were grateful that Jim's team found the problem before installation. Jim's guys were great. They worked well together, were professional and tidy. We couldn't be happier. We highly reccommend Jim's Heating and A/C.

I was greatly impressed with how quickly they came to fix our problem. The price was right and he even offered me some suggestions on how to cool our home more efficiently to lower our electric bill. They were extremely courteous and prompt! I will definitely use their services again.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and I will continue to use them for future AC/Heating maintenance and repair.

They are very professional. They give me good advice and always do a nice job. Since I have been using them, I have had no issues with my heating, air conditioning, or water heater. They are very honest and don't just try to make money on a visit.
