Andy made the proposal experience easy and answered all of our questions. He was able to qualify us for a full $5,000 rebate from the state for improving the energy efficiency of our home and 0% 10-year loan which made the decision very easy. The install was easy, able to be done over a three day period. We were without heat for only one day, and never without hot water when we needed it. Work crew were always on time in the morning, and gone before we came home at night. They left everythng neat and tidy when they left.

Went great. Showed up quickly. Quoted a better price than my other service provider. Schedule work quickly. Got in and done with no fuss, came back tested line and good to go. Cooking with gas!

Great! I was very pleased right from the initial estimate - Mike took a great deal of time to work out all of the details, understand our needs, and answer all of my questions. I had three other companies in and none of them noticed a code issue that Mike discovered and offered to fix. As well, some of the other companies had suggested that I could not have a high efficiency furnace installed due to venting issues, but Mike cleared that up and provided a solution that worked. The team that installed the new equipment was friendly and professional. The job was finished in the time they said, and they left the work area nice and clean. They also took some time to walk me through the operation of the new equipment. And finally, the price with this company was very good! After a frustrating experience with three other contractors just to get a price on this work, I was very happy with the entire experience with this company.

The company was good. The work took about 10 days and we are pleased with all of the work that they did. We had a few estimates done and I feel like the product that we ended up getting, we got a good price.

These guys were pros through and through. We wanted to remove the old oil furnance (that was about the size of a VW bug) and replace it with a more energy friendly and cost saving gas furnance. They gave us multiple cost options from keeping our current water heater, going tankless, or changing to a higher eneregy effecient heater (which we chose.) The decisions were made more complicated as we have a heat pump on the 2nd and 3rd floor while the oil furnance serviced the 1st and 2nd floor. Mike, our sales manager was patient with our continous questions and responded via phone and/or email. The job was occuring in December and they tried to negate as many hours without heat as they could. The project manager, Joe, kept us updated throughout the project - making sure he reviewed with us everything they did each day, the next steps, and their progression on the timeline. They kept the place immaculate. They warned us previously that taking out the old furnance would likely do damage to the stairwell - and the stairs were nicked quite a bit, but they came in with a sander and smoothed them down and even offered to paint them if we had matching paint. We had them come out to do a couple of tweaks, but the system works great, and will definitely save us money in the long haul. We are putting in AC this summer (I know our installing timing is opposite from what it should have been) and we are having Vaughan install a high velocity Unico system shortly. I wouldn't use anyone else.

I've been dealing with Vaughan ever since I moved into my townhouse in 2006. I'd never had oil heat before, and the previous owners used Vaughan so I stayed with them. I've never had such a friendly and courteous relationship with a utility provider before! This is a family-owned business that takes great pride in its service, and it shows. They are extremely helpful, will work with you when there is any kind of problem, and they are extremely knowledgeable and competent. I will continue to turn to them with any issues regarding my new furnace or my AC unit (which they also installed for me a few years ago, along with a new oil furnace), but I can tell I will miss them if there are any issues regarding my energy supply--the gas company I have is very difficult to deal with. I would unhesitatingly recommend them for any HVAC work and as an oil supplier.

I live in a condo and have a PTAC unit for heating/AC. I began having issues with the unit in August and called Vaughan Heating & AC for service. I was told my unit was not repairable & I would need to purchase a new unit. The unit was "special order" so it took 2 months before they actually had the unit and came to to install it. As the installation guys were leaving, I pointed out that the air coming out my heater was not hot. I was told "it needs time to heat up". Over the next couple days it was obvious that the unit was not working. It was not heating my home. For the next month, I dealt with a heater that did not work as I was bounced around from their "comfort specialist", to their installation department, and finally their service department. Numerous people came out and attempted to fix the issue but no one was competent. I had to leave multiple messages before I would receive a phone call back. I took off several days of work that month so that I could be home for them to complete service calls (all of which were a total waste of time since they left without fixing the unit). I was stuck with a brand new unit that was not working properly and a company that did not know how to fix it. Finally, I demanded they remove the unit & give me a full refund (which they did) and I started the process over with a new company. Overall, I had a horrible experience with this company & I would not recommend them to anyone.

There was no service charge. It would have been $350 but it was a follow up on a replacement compressor we had put in last fall.

Since my oil heater worked perfectly all winter, I was very pleased with his work. They were prompt and professional.

They were a little pricey, but I was very impressed by the gentleman who gave the estimate and the service men were fantastic also. They were very knowledgeable, neat, efficient and professional. I would use them again.

They did a really good job. However, two weeks later I got a postcard that he sold his company to a larger company, but I would've appreciated if he had mentioned that he was going to be doing that.

Our AC kept tripping the circuit breaker, so Vaughn came out and told us we needed a new compressor. However, even after installing the new compressor, we kept having the same problem. Vaughn sent two different techs out to troubleshoot and they could not find anything wrong with the unit, so they told us we needed an electrician. We had two different electricians come and neither could find any problems with the circuit breakers, one even replaced the circuit breaker just to be sure. So Vaughn came back a THIRD time and finally found the problem which indeed was electrical. The techs pulled a length of damaged wiring that ran from our unit to the circuit panel that was black and smelly and so badly burned that no insulation was left, just exposed wires. We are so glad they found this enormous hazard that could've started a fire. Throughout the entire experience, everyone I spoke to on the phone was kind and patient and they cleared their schedule for me two days in a row. They show up on time and they stand behind their work. Couldn't be more pleased!

We acquired an annual service agreement with Vaughn after being dissatisfied with our previous provider, which fell under new management. We were very happy with Vaughn for the past two years. Our furnace went out one winter night, and the tech was right there to repair it. The First hint something was amiss was when I scheduled our heating and cooling checkup in June and asked for a service tech we liked. He was no longer with the company. The scheduler would send Matt instead, whom she said we would also like. Also she would have a service manager call us about a hot water heater contract, which we did not have. None of which happened. Frank, a different tech, showed up for my appointment, not Matt. No call regarding the water heater was ever received. During our appointment, we learned Vaughn had bought out our previous service, and we did not have a contract on the air conditioner either. Had the scheduler told us, we could have been prepared. While the techs are prompt and competent--Frank diagnosed our hot water heater for no additional charge, things in customer service seem a little too vague and unorganized, a communication blunder. We hope they will correct these faults and provide the service level that we expect.

We had a very good experience with them so far. It was very pleasant and they were very professional. In regards to punctuality he was here right on the dot.

The details are included above! Before we had the system installed, we did get 3 other quotes. They were not the lowest, more in the middle but they were recommended to us by a friend.

I'd invite Vaughan Heating and Air Conditioning back to dinner any day. The workers were great. We had one little mishap and they took care of it before they asked for any money from me. Their work was meticulous downstairs in the basement. We kept adding to what they were doing because their prices were so good. They ended up doing quite a bit more than we originally anticipated. We also qualified for a interest free loan for the work for $10,000 for 10 years from the State of New Jersey. We only had to put out of our pocket right then and there whatever was over the $10,000 mark. They did a great job and all the workers were wonderful, polite, courteous and clean. I can not say enough about them. We may be calling them again to put a dehumidifier down in the basement.

They are on Angie's List. I have been using them prior to Angie's List for a number of years. They have always been very good. The people that I bring out are people I have been very satisfied with. His pricing was good. If I have a problem and I call, they come right out. I have had no problem with them whatsoever.

Although I did not contract with this company, their representative was very patient, courteous, and responsive to all of my questions. It was a very tough decision, as I am sure the product is top notch and the installation would have been very satisfactory.

I have used Jim's Heating and Air Conditioning for tune-ups for years and they are very reliable. After 23 years, we needed a new HVAC system. Jim quoted me a good price and knowing his workers' performance, I didn't hesitate to hire him for this job. Jim's workers arrived on time. Did a great job installing the new system. My basement and the area outside was left in a clean state.

Jim's Heating and Plumbing came to provide an estimate the day after they were called. Service was prompt and courteous. The technicial who came to the house, Joe, was extremely kind and helpful. Work was done promptly and effeciently. Our experience with this company has been outstanding.

I originally filled out a request for an estimate using Vaughan's online form, however never received a call back. My opinion is that if you provide a service like that, it should work the way it is intended to. I called instead and seem to remember playing phone tag for a little while, but eventually we did make contact and I was able to set up an estimate in a reasonable amount of time. Andy arrived to my home at the appointed day/time and I found him to be pleasant and helpful. He asked me questions about the project, took measurements, and spoke to me about the type of system he would be recommending. The estimate arrived in a reasonable amount of time, though I had a couple of issues with it. I saw the inclusion of a surge protector which we had never discussed, and the exclusion of a direct-vented hot water heater that was also part of the scope of the job I wished to have performed. To be honest, I never even followed up about this as the estimate was thousands above the nearest quote, and ultimately around $6000 above the estimate I accepted from another company which included the hot water heater. I do have to express my thanks to Andy and the team at Vaughan for looking into my eligibility for a special energy savings program that would have provided 0% financing for 10 years. I didn't end up qualifying (wasn't told why precisely), but they were able to offer me 3 years with 0%. If someone wanted just to replace the units themselves and not install all of the duct work as well, the price might come out to where that 3-year financing would be very helpful. My overall sense of the company is that they probably do quality work, but want to sell you on home performance packages that might go above and beyond what you are actually wanting to do. At the end of the day I'm left wondering how their price came in SO much higher than three other competitors.

The technician, Mike, arrived on time and was very professional. He did a great job repairing our unit that turnedout to be a little tricky. He spent the time needed to figure it out and was very courteous. I would definitely do business withthem again.

Oil furnance was burning 3 tanks of oil every winter. More expensive than what we could handle every year. Vaghan was quick in giving a estimate for work to be performed. Took 3 guys about 2-3 days to complete.Equipment had some problems after the installations were complete. Zone going to apartment wouldn't shut off and was overheating apartment. They Were fairly quick in getting them to come back out and back the needed repairs.The system is more complicated than i would like. Would need a tech to figure out error codes If something goes wrong.
