Need A Handyman Service, LLC

The service was good and I was pleased. You cannot tell the ceiling was replaced and the work still looks good after a couple of years. It took about four days over a week because he had to let the sheet rock and seems cure. He cleaned up well and I have no complaints.

I would not recommend anyone use this contractor. I am pursuing criminal charges for theft and fraud. My understanding is that I'm not the first to experience this.

The project went very well. Bill was honest, professional and straightforward. There's no beating around the bush. No games. If he can do the work he will let you know. Along with our project, we asked about recessed lighting and Bill said he's not a licensed electrician. He did offer suggestions that were very helpful. Bill took care of some drywall for us and it's perfect. I even threw in a "by the way, can you fix that hole in the ceiling?" Bill fixed the hole immediately. Now we say, what hole?? We're very happy with Bill and his service. We plan on using him in 2 weeks to finish our backsplash & install our garbage disposal in the kitchen. We have a few more projects down the road and Bill will be our go to guy.

Bill's work is very good. We have used him for several different projects and have always been pleased with the results.

He came to house to check on job. Was supposed to order hardware completion and never came back and never returned call

Called and arranged for an estimate. They worked with me on scheduling the estimate and repair time since I work about an hour from home. Got my estimate and arranged for repair that following weekend. He arrived on time, made a quality repair at a reasonable cost. I am one happy customer..!

He came just as promised and took care of my masonry in an instant. I will be using Bill for all the things I need done, The price was even less than his estimate and his manor was a true friendly gentleman. He was a Godsend.

Although Bill does excellent work it does not appear that he has time for the smaller jobs. We were very disappointed and will not be calling him again. We originally contacted him a few months ago to correct the flooring on a shed and repair the drywall for our skylights and remove and replace the blinds. He did not respond to my initial e-mail and when I called he said he never received he. He came right out to look at everything but then we had do call him to follow-up. He never did give us a price for the shed and told us we should wait until next year now that it was getting colder. There was no urgency so I was ok with that but we were getting other work done on the house and wanted the drywall fixed first. He came out a few times at night and let us know the drywall did not have to be replaced. He patched sanded and painted it over a few days and did a great job at a reasonable price. He also removed the old blinds and gave us the measurements for the new ones and said he could install the new ones. We then called him to patch and paint trim. We had to call him twice and he ended up coming out on a Sunday and did the work in a couple of hours. Again, he did a nice job. At that time we asked him amount installing the blinds. He said he could not do it the next week but would be able to take care of it the following week. We were fine with that. After two weeks we never heard from him so we called and left a message. He never called back and after another two weeks we contacted someone else to install the blinds. When that person came out we found out that Bill had measured wrong and the blinds did not fit. We had to purchase new rails and it ended up costing us and extra $80.00 between getting the replacement parts and the return trip for the new installer. We understand that these were very small jobs but if Bill was too busy to take them on he should have told us that up front. It would have saved us time, money & aggravation.

Bill does excellent work. He is a stickler for details and doing the job right. His workmanship on tiling and carpentry is outstanding. He does occasionally take on more work leading to some delays. However if you are patient his work is well worth a minor inconvenience . I would use him again and intend to have him remodel my kitchen after the first of the year.

the job was done in 4 hrs., just as told. the work was excellent and I couldn't be happier. work area was cleaned up at completion of job. Need a handyman gets a 5 star review from me !!!

They did outstanding work. I will use them for other projects. I am very pleased. I have contacted Angie's List many times and have never been disappointed.

Bill and Bob arrived exactly on time on Thursday. They inspected, measured, got the materials and started on the job. They explained exactly what had to be done and why. They work very well together and very efficiently. The deck has new floor boards, the wall on the side of the house has been redone, and they cut all the debris to 4" lengths and stacked it for the Boro to pick up. Everything was swept up and the place looked great. I would not hesitate to use them again and have already recommended them.

These guys are a team of 2 with a few close resource members like Jay the plumber. They are very busy so if you have an emergency, these guys are not the go to team. They got back to us immediately but took a little time to get them to come out and give us estimates. Once we had that done, it took a few more weeks to actually begin the work. Once you are on their work list, they don't mess around and attend to the job personally and efficiently. They show up when they say they will and get things done. They also are very personable and professional. I will use them again.

His communication skills were terrible. I would leave him phone messages and he wouldn't get back to me. He was always full of excuses. He started this back in October of 2012 and didn't finish until Memorial Day 2013. We were also responsible for getting the building permit ouselves instead of him handling it, which I found odd.

It has been very difficult to contact and set up appointments with this service. It took several calls initially for the service to return my calls. The handyman came to our residence and made a verbal estimate of services. During his visit, he was professional in demeanor. We called to ask him to send us a written estimate. It took him a long time to respond (and more than one phone call). He promised to deliver an estimate to us, but this never happened. We called again to ask if he could bring the estimate. He made an appointment, but did not give an arrival time window ("sometime in the evening, probably later.") The dayof the service, I called his cell and the office phone to confirm, but there was no response. He never came. The next morning, he left a message on my cell phone. He apologized and explained that he had a family emergency (he told us the nature of the emergency.) I have waited for this company too many times, and want to have the work done. I understand that there probably was a family emergency. However, we can no longer trust that he will return our calls unless we badger him. Life is too short to have to deal with this.

I initially called and spoke to Bill. When we first spoke he was very upfront about being busy and that it could be a couple of weeks before he could do my job. That wasn't a problem for me, so we set up a time for an estimate. Bob came and gave us an estimate and I decided to go forward. There were some delays for them getting out here, but Bill did keep in touch. When Bill and Bob did come out, they were on time, the job was done quickly and they were very nice. The bill was exactly what we spoke about earlier. I will definitely be calling on them again for future work.

Bill is excellent and you will feel very comfortable working with him. He patiently painted up our foyer steps wall multiple times because of hand prints from realtors and prospective buyers....even came the last day before settlement. His prices are very fair and he stands behind his work. You won't regret giving Bill a call. We are going to miss Bill since we've moved out of the area! Perhaps we can motivate him to come to Cape May!

Using Angie's list I reached out to three highly rated contractors. I presented all three contractors with equivalent requests. She looked at three contractors contacted me and provided quotes. Need a Handyman came in with the best price and after talking to Bill I felt comfortable with his work and timetable. The original conversations took place in mid-July and the material was selected and a deposit of approximately $3000 was provided for Bill to purchase the material. We scheduled the installation date for mid August. Bill brought samples of the Azak decking material to our home and we were able to select the appropriate colors from panels so that it would match our house. Bill informed us that he had a flat rate for his labor and that any savings he was able to obtain on the purchase of the materials would be passed along to us. Bill is a man of his word! After Bill contacted the local distributor he provided me with a delivery date. The material was delivered on Thursday, August 22, 2013. I notified Bill of the delivery, and his team of two arrived on Friday at 8 AM sharp. They began taking apart the old pressure-treated deck and per the instructions from my Township, bundled them with string that I provided and placed the bundles by the curb for trash collection. On Saturday again at 8 AM sharp Bob and Jim arrived and completed the demolition of the deck all away down to the main support beams and trusses which were still in good shape. They fixed a few areas that the original builder took shortcuts on. And installed 4 of the Azak deck boards. Then on Monday morning, again at 8 AM, Bob and Jim arrived on site and began installing the remaining decking material. By the time I arrived home from work on Monday, the entire main deck was installed in several of the 4 x 4 pressure-treated railing timbers were in place but not fully installed. I was informed they would be back again on Tuesday morning at 8 AM to complete the job and bring with them the vinyl railings which they were leaving to pick up that night. True to their word they arrived again right around 8 AM on Tuesday. Before I came home for lunch the job was done. It looks spectacular. All of the old lumber was tied and bundled in 4 foot lengths and placed by my curb, the deck was clean and my solar lights were in place. They even took time to arrange my deck chairs which I have moved to one side to provide an ample working space. A few days later Bill contacted us to finish payment of the bill. Exactly as Bill had stated, his installation charge remained at the $2200 and we paid simply for the material. Which at the end of the job actually came in about $600 less than we were quoted. What a pleasant surprise when we realized that the savings was actually being passed on to us. In addition to this, Bill's team also installed a small pet door in our basement door. This was a freebie! Needless to say we have already reached out to Bill, "Need a Handyman", to provide additional renovations to our property. I am really looking forward to working with Bill and his team. It was pleasant to actually find a contractor who was professional, courteous, punctual, and most of all honest. Would I recommend him, absolutely! ? Gary

Getting ready to sell our home and came across a series of small jobs that needed to be done... masonry work, windows, plumbing, etc.... and so we contacted the crew at need a handyman. There was a little communication difficulty early on (delay in return of our phone calls) but once we did get in touch, the delay was explained and the rest of the process was seamless. We were able to get the work done in a timely fashion, they were punctual and professional, open and honest in everything that they did, and when they were done the area was cleaner that it had been when they started! A very positive experience with them and we will plan to use them again in the future.

My experience so has went very well. The staff is very friendly and professional. They were very responsive to my calls and request.

What can I say about Bill and Bob and the great job they did tackling a laundry list of things that we needed done around the house? They were awesome! They were very communicative leading up to the day ( I needed a door special ordered), they were on time, pleasant, explained a few things that I did not know about some things that needed to be completed, they did a great job with each task, and just all around nice people!

Excellent. Robert showed up on time. He fixed my bathroom by rehanging my glass shower door and cutting some tile for me. Very clean, quick, great job, great price. Will definitely use him again in the future.

When they took the porch off, of course they had to fix the side of the house and they did an outstanding job. They worked quickly and their price was fair. Their workmanship was excellent. They were pretty good. They were always right there on time and I plan on using them again.

Great job-made it easy for me in every way possible. Great guy!

He returned my call promptly enough and we set up an appointment for him to come out and go over my bathroom remodeling job but he never showed up or even gave me the courtesy of calling. Not much professionalism there! There is at least $10,000 worth of work I need done, from gable vents replaced to the master bath remodeled, his loss!
