Need A Handyman Service, LLC

Work was great and Bill is very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right.

This is my second time engaging Need a Handyman, LLC and I was so pleased with the results. The previous owners of my house covered the ceiling and floors of my laundry room with acoustic tile, which had started to fall off. Bill led the project, which included removing the old dingy hardware in the room and most of the still hanging tiles, then drywall over the ceiling and effected walls. They patched the other walls and hung heavy duty shelving. Add some new paint and floor and I have a beautiful new room. It went great and right on the projected cost. Thanks again!

I had a shed built in my yard years ago. It has held up well, except for the doors. The bottoms became rotted, and the wood panels started sliding down and off. I contacted Bill for an estimate, which was fair. Today the weather was nice enough to be able to do the job. My only hope is that the rest of the shed will hold live as long as these doors will. SO well crafted and put together. I couldn't be happier with the repair. The work was neat and organized. The final amount was a little over the estimate, but prior to the repair, we about hardware options that I liked, which required another hardware run and time. Thanks Bill!

Bill came a little early and got started right away. I have used his services many times before so I knew what to expect. He and his assistant Bobby installed a new microwave for me in half an hour. Perfect. Then he replaced some damaged siding on my house with pieces I had saved when the siding was originally put on. That job also took half an hour. It was done very well, and you would not know it was replaced.

Bill came to my house after a minor plumbing incident where I needed to replace the hole in my wall after a leak was fixed- he took out the old vanity, replaced the sheetrock, and (after I painted the new sheetrock) came back the following week to install the new vanity. Bill is always pleasant, on time and doesn't waste time. He always does an excellent job and I trust him to do the job correctly.

Very responsive to messages and fast to come out and estimate. We went back and forth for a few weeks, but after we committed to job, was very quick to come and get deposit, and let us know they were booking about 8-10 weeks out. We waited, along the way he was very honest with his scheduling. Finally we were scheduled, and he was very prompted and very hard working in completing the job. Everything looks great, very clean and did everything he said he would do! Very nice people, and would recommend to everyone!

I had a laundry room that needed tile laid, some drywall repair (large holes and a lot of small nail pops) painting, (walls and ceiling), trim, and a new toilet installed. Bill and Bobby showed on time daily and kept my in the loop as far as what was going on that day and what would be done the next day. They very professional and did an excellent job. We have plans to Bill and Bobby again for a bathroom remodel in the future. I would recommend them for any job big or small.

I called Bill when I needed to replace a couple of old toilet seats that were on so tightly I couldn't get them off. He came over in a couple of days and took care of the job in 20 minutes. Very friendly and cheerful as usual. Will always call Bill!

Bill and Bob were awsome! They tiled the entire wall behind my tub, demo'd my shower curb and rebuilt it. Everything looks great and will definitely use them again for my other upcoming projects : )

Bill and Bob were great. They showed up early and worked quickly and efficiently. They kept me updated on each step and were reasonably priced. I love the new look in my bathroom and kitchen...they did a great job! I’m so pleased with their work that I’ve already scheduled them for another project.

Redoing our bathroom was not something we were looking forward to (as you can imagine). Bill, Bobby and their team made this a quick and painless project. We are thrilled with the results and can not say enough about their professionalism. They told us beforehand how the job would proceed and then stuck to that game plan and schedule. We were so pleased that we also added two other jobs...tearing out the old plaster on a stairwell and refurbishing room. Both of these jobs went equally well. In fact they are our A+ go to contractors for anything we are planning to do around our home.

Bill and Bobby did a fantastic job on a project we've wanted to do for a long time. They were prompt, skilled, and professional, and weren't at all fazed by our last-minute decision to install pocket doors instead of french doors. Our hundred-year-old house is full of weird angles and difficult materials, but they made it work. The whole area already looks 10x better than it used to, and we haven't even painted it yet! The pocket doors are beautiful and work great; the drywall is smooth and straight; and the doors and molding are all well-installed. What's more, the project came in under budget, incredibly. Bill is clearly an honest and trustworthy guy to deal with, and we're already looking forward to hiring him again for the next stage of our project.

Excellent! While Need A Handyman did not come in as the cheapest company to use (They were still pretty comparable though.), the last time I chose a different company due to the cheaper price I made a HUGE mistake! Definitely choose Need A Handyman and you will not be sorry! They are efficient, honest, and do an AMAZING job!

Door looks great! Bill and Bob were very punctual and professional. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again in the near future for a painting project.

Hired Need a Handyman to totally re-do our family room. The room had dark panelling on 3 of the walls with no drywall behind 2 of the walls. We needed the paneling removed, drywall installed, the whole room spackled and painted, new molding painted and installed and the ceiling painted. I will admit that it did take awhile from the time we signed the contract to the time they started the job. Most of the delays were health-related on the part of the 2 workers. But I will say that whenever I followed up with calls about the job status, they always returned my calls promptly. Once they started, they worked diligently to get the work done in a timely manner. They started on a Monday and the job was done by Friday. They were very punctual and arrived every morning at the time they had planned. They were very professional, very easy to work with and very friendly and cooperative. We love our new room - can't believe it's the same room. So thrilled with the quality of work they provided and I would definitely look to hire them again in the future for another job.

BILL WAS OUTSTANDING!!! I cannot say enough good things about him! He was responsive, compassionate and willing to go the extra mile to help me out is a very time sensitive situation. He is an expert in his field and quickly identified the problem in my house. Bill literally saved the day for me in quickly resolving an issue with a ceiling that otherwise would have delayed the closing (if not totally shut down) the sale of a Short Sale house I am buying. Background: A very recent Home Inspection/Appraisal identified a "mystery stain" on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms of the house I was scheduled to close on in just a week's time. My mortgage company called me and told me they were requiring me to have a contractor evaluate the cause of the stain on the ceiling and have it repaired as a condition of them approving my mortgage (even though the property is currently owned by a bank!) Not fair in my way of thinking, but if I wanted the house I had to comply with this condition, so I agreed. I needed to find someone who would both understand my predicament and who had the expertise and ability to evaluate the problem and resolve it quickly. I went down a list of possible contractors, but on such short notice could not get anyone to come out the next day to do this work. I called Bill's company, and had to leave a message. To my surprise, he called me back within 5 minutes, after he had JUST returned from his vacation. I explained the urgency of my situation, and the reason I needed someone to address the ceiling issue so unreasonably quickly. Bill understood and was willing to help me out on the very next day! I was (am!) so impressed by Bill's responsiveness to what to me was truly an emergency situation (i.e.-have a qualified contractor identify the cause and repair of whatever caused the ceiling stain or I don't get the mortgage.) Bill's experience and expertise made it easy for him to quickly and efficiently assess the cause of the problem and the repairs needed. Because of his work, the repairs were made made, the ceiling is fixed and I was able to meet the mortgage lender's last minute requirements for mortgage approval. It is rare to find someone with a work ethic like Bill, and I could not be happier with his work or more appreciative of his commitment and responsiveness to his customers. I would most definitely call him again with any handyman needs that might arise. (THANK YOU BILL!!! You're the best!)

Everything went great! Bill was very responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. He fit me in to his busy schedule and did a great job. He was quick and the door looks great! I will definitely call him again for other jobs I need done!

Bill did a great job, the doors now open and close more effortlessly than before. We were especially pleased with his reinstallation of the closet doors. We originally tried to do this ourselves, but had problems due to the close quarters of our closets' location. Bill was able to get the doors back in place and reinstall the hardware, a great relief. We're taking a look around the house to see what other projects we've been putting off, and look forward to calling Bill again.

The job experience went very well. And the completed wall is simply beautiful, smooth and professionally done! Bill contacted us within a day of leaving an email request on Angie's List for this small job and he scheduled an estimate with Bob. Bob explained the job in detail so we would know what to expect. In addition to the drywall, I wanted the old fiberglass insulation replaced with an environmentally friendly product. Bob said he had a product in mind that is made from stones. When I saw the product on the day of installation, I loved it! The insulation can be used without wearing long sleeves or breathing masks and it's the correct R-factor. After the estimate, Bob then left to discuss the cost of the job with Bill and emailed us an estimate. We agreed and signed a contract. We had 5 separate appointments with them for the estimate, the contract and job work---both Bill and Bob are respectful of appointment commitments; they arrived on the days and times agreed upon. If you haven't had drywall done, it's a multiple step/multiple day process with several mudding applications required and a final sanding. They worked efficiently and took the time to hang a sheeting of plastic about 3 feet away from the wall, to try and keep the dust down. The last day, on sanding day, Bob cleaned up beautifully and we only needed to dust a couple of minor areas, like the bedroom window handles. Not a big deal. The trust factor is important to me in hiring someone and I feel both Bill and Bob are trustworthy, honest men. They respect you as a person and your property. They are both easy going, friendly men yet they remain professional. We will definitely use them again and will recommend them to others.

I would HIGHLY recommend Bill from Need a Handyman for anyone looking to have work done. Whether it is a small project or a large renovation, he is perfect for the job! He responded to my call in a timely manner, provided me with a reasonable quote, and began the renovations very quickly. He is a highly skilled contractor that takes pride in his work, and a job well done! I trust Bill implicitly, he is friendly, honest and extremely reliable. He always asked questions, never made assumptions and was always available for a phone call and/or text. I will absolutely be calling Bill again!

Bill and Bobby did a wonderful job! They were prompt, professional, and very upfront with all costs and work needed. Very easy to work with, and always responsive to questions and concerns, definitely went above and beyond to make everything look great. I am so pleased with their work that I am hiring them to do a complete kitchen remodel for me, and and can't wait for them to transform the entire room. Don't be deceived by the "Handyman" in their name - these guys do a whole heck of a lot more than you would imagine, inside and out. I would enthusiastically recommend them for any projects, and plan to keep the busy for a long time!

It went great, exceeded our expectations. We had to postpone a little bit after giving deposit and Bill kindly worked with us. Bill and Bob do awesome work and treat your home as if it was their own. The finished product looks great! We asked him to give us an estimate on a few more projects, so Im sure he will be back. The price was very fair and Bill is very open and honest with material cost.
