They always show up on time, cut our grass, edge our lawn, and clean up afterwards. If we have any special requests, they are very responsive in meeting them.

He was a fine gentleman who did not give me a hard time. He did the job at a right price. He was also on time.

When I first used Holiday Services, I really liked them a lot. I was using them when I was working and then I got laid off so I was home all the time. I got a bill and said that they had come out certain days and since I was home, I knew that they had not come out. Even when they come out, they didn't do a very good job, they were there for like 5 minutes and they didn't do what they needed to do. I thought they were great but it turns out that they were charging me for stuff that they weren't doing. When they do the work it was great. When I pointed that they weren't doing a good job on the lawn, the owner himself came out and oversaw what needed to be done then he charged me extra. I like the owner but he hires sketchy people.

They were a little pricey but they came out right away. I called on a Monday, saw them on Wednesday and that Friday they came out and did the work, so it was real fast and they didn’t waste any time, which was really nice. The price was fair but it was little expensive, considering what they had to do. They did what they were going to do and took care of it well. I would call them out again because I like that they did not waste any time going back and forth and I appreciate that. I wanted to get it done, they came in and did it, all within a week, and that is my preference.

Holiday Services did a great job with the initial landscaping work.The gardens out front and back looked very nice upon completion. Also, the newly sodded areas looked good and grew nicely with regular watering. The owner, Chris, was very responsive to questions, concerns, etc. One problem that was tough to resolve,however, was that one corner of a newly sodded area wasn't greening up despite watering. Several landscapers including Holiday could never seem to resolve the issue. We finally had another landscaper come and he adjusted a few of the heads. Apparently the area was still being missed by the sprinklers despite earlier adjustments that were made. After these adjustments, the area started greening up nicely. The lawn mowing also usually went well. During late August, however, we had some issues with the mowings, including the lawn being cut too low, and one time not being bagged as agreed upon. Clumps of cuttings were left all over the lawn as well. The company refused to return my calls or respond to my e-mails, and even came over to mow when I had asked them to cease services. I'm not sure why the formerly very good customers service did an about-face, but that is why some of the grades above were lowered. Also, they kept adding a gas surcharge for mowing services when this was never even mentioned in the contract. They even mailed me two incorrect final bills, and finally got it right on the third, after I contacted them several times in regard to the inaccurate billing (once again they ignored my calls and e-mails). I was disappointed that the great customer/company relationship we had for most of the summer went so bad and therefore I had to stop service.

I had a really bad allergy attack and couldn't maintain my yard. It got so bad that I was given a warning by my town and 10 days to clean things up. And this was right before I was leaving the country for 10 days. I called Chris at Holiday Services and he not only came by to look things over that morning before I left for work but was able to bring his crew over and clean up the entire yard before the end of that same day. The grass was cut and edged, weeds were cut back. The whole yard looked as if it had been well maintained all summer. I have continued to use Holiday Services for regular yard maintenance since. Their work is always well done, the staff is friendly, and the price is reasonable. They don't come when it isn't needed. Holiday Services has also given me a quote for more detailed yard cleanup (pulling ivy, taking out overgrown bushes, etc.) and building a fence. I will be using them for that work as well.

We weren't given a date when Chris' crew would show up. My husband was in the hospital and I was waiting for friends to go with me to get him discharged, and Chris' foreman rang my doorbell. The crew was there to begin work and wanted to know if I could move my car out of the driveway. It would really have been better if I was notified that the crew would be starting work that day because if they had showed up a minute later, I would have been gone and they wouldn't have been able to start the work. Other than that minor problem, the crew worked diligently every day until the job was complete, and Chris checked on the work every day. Chris is meticulous about the work and makes sure everything is done right.

They do a really professional job. Every time we have a question, they have always gotten back to us really quickly. Their billing is very clear. They show up, do their work and clean up after themselves. They are responsive and responsible. We have not had any problems with them. We have been using them for over a year now.

Having just moved here from Maryland a few weeks ago we had no idea who to call for this type of service. Using Angies list we called a few highly rated companies. People must be very busy here because only two called me back and neither of them were the company that "always answers or calls you back"! Chris called me back within a couple of hours and I made arrangements to use his services. We have about an acre of what should be lawn but has been poorly maintained in the past and has a large amount of weeds bare spots etc. The lawn had likely not been cut in at least a month and was very tall. On the scheduled day of May 23rd it rained hard most of the day and although I fully expected to be delayed, I wondered if they would call and let us know,..or if they would just not show up. Chris called promptly to explain that they would not be able to make due to weather and fit us in the following day. The next day there were a few rain showers but it was much better. I called to confirm that they would be coming. Chris answered the phone!, and confirmed that they would indeed arrive shortly. The crew arrived as expected and did a great job. We have now had two services and will continue to use them. Chris is very prompt, professional and personable. The crew works hard and fast without sacrificing quality. I would highly recommend.

Chris from Holiday runs an exceptional business. They have done a great amount of work on my house from simple landscaping, to new driveway and walkways, to new fence and construction of new from patio and new roof. The work has always been top notch and has always been completed on time. Chris keeps us informed on every aspect of the job and makes sure everything gets done the right way. I don't ever have that "same old contractor" feeling with him, with Holiday I know there won't be any surprises. I couldn't be more lucky to have found such a great company!

My overall experience was an A. They did a very good job.

I disliked that their price for lawn work was not clear. They didn’t say “we charge $50 an hour and we expect to spend eight hours on your lawn.” It was more “your clean up fee is $500.” When as I asked for the hourly rate he said they didn’t have an hourly rate. That’s inconsistent on how other companies operate. I found it was more expensive, that he was overpriced for the kind of clean-up he was going to do. He didn’t do business in a professional way. He didn’t call back, he wasn’t professional.

Over serveral weeks company worked on the lawn, removing sod laid improperly last year,relaying new sod and cutting, triming and generally doing an excellent job on the lawn, very professional. We will use them next year for regular lawn care.

I probably won’t use them again because I haven’t received a bill yet even though it has been months. I am sure I will be mortified with I get the bill. I only asked for summer services but they are now picking up my leaves. Also, I asked them to plant some things around my house but they chose the hottest week of the summer so it died. He came and removed it and said he would replace it, but I still have a dirt hole. When I call him he’ll answer but he doesn’t get back to me with things like bills. I don’t plan on using them next year.

They did a good job of clearing up the yard. They did a nice job of the plantings as well. They couldn’t get to me on schedule because of all the rains. It took a little patience on my part. I think they may be a little over priced. I don’t use them now because I have a different landscaper who does my lawn and who also offers a senior discount. So they’ve been doing my lawn for quite sometime. The work was good by Holiday Services. They did top class work but their price included a surcharge as well. I don’t have enough experience to comment on the price. All I know is that I’m using another landscaper now and he gives me a lower price and a senior discount. The quality of work with Holiday Services is good. I’ve only used the current guy for mowing the yards because he’s cheaper. I might use their services again in the future depending on what I’m having done.

Although we ran into a few bumps, the overall experience was very good. Chris (the person who worked with us) was extremely helpful in the beginning. We weren't very sure what we wanted to do with our garden, and after meeting with other vendors we were hoping they would suggest ideas that would appeal to us. Chris (at Holiday Services) was by far the most helpful and knowledgeable person we spoke with. We gave him the basics of our situation, and he was able to build on those basic ideas and helped us brainstorm a plan that we were very excited about. Although his quote was slightly higher than the other vendors, we went with him because we got the impression he would do a pretty good job. Once we established the plan we were eager to have the job completed. At times it was difficult to reach him, and he had to reschedule a couple times, giving us little notice. Obviously we weren't too thrilled with this part of the experience. However, he was very apologetic and he tried to make up for this. The best part of the experience was seeing the completed job. The ideas that he helped us to come up with were executed very well, and we were delighted with what we saw.

Great job. Thorough and reasonable. Definitely recommend them.

Chris is easy to get a hold of on the phone. He is clean, fast, very reasonable and honest. We are currently having him install french doors in out kitchen and master bed room and his wife is designing landscaping for out whole front yard. I will continue to use Chris to finish off out kitchen as well. You couldn't ask anything more in a contractor/landscaper.

Holiday Services was prompt, responsive, and did an excellent job.

They would show up without letting you know when they were coming, which I did not like. They did an adequate job with our front lawn but it was not what we had hoped for. Their price was fair or average.

Chris is a God send. I originally contacted him about doing some landscaping and had planned to hire him for that job but I ended up needing to have my garage roof replaced immediately or risk losing my home owner’s insurance. In bidding out the work on the garage roof I actually decided to go with another company based solely on the cost of the job because I really wanted to save money for the landscaping. This other company promised to come out on the Friday after Thanksgiving to sign a contract and pick up a down payment but they never showed. No call or anything. I had to get proof that the garage work had been contracted out to my insurance agent that day. I called Chris at 2:30 or so that afternoon to see if he could help me out. He and his family were on vacation, in Virginia, and yet he and his wife took the time to type up a letter for my insurance agent stating that the work would be completed the following week. And he took me at my word that I would have a deposit ready for him on Monday morning. Not many people will do that in this day and age. The job itself ended up costing more than I initially expected to spend but that was more due to the state of the garage roof versus Chris’s pricing. I honestly believe I got a good deal on the cost. Chris and Amy were great with everything, their responsiveness, the cost of the project and dealing with someone who was more than a little stressed about the whole thing. Great communicators both by phone and email. They are more about building a relationship versus just doing the job which will only get them more jobs down the road. While I wasn’t able to afford the landscaping in the end, I do know who I am going to hire to do the work. Great job Holiday Services!

They did a great job. They are pleasant and very good. I would definitely recommend them to others.
