Gus is a pleasure to work with. He and his team did a fantastic painting job for us. Their prep work was very thorough.

Gus and team did an absolutely SUPERIOR job! I wanted to hire a single contractor who coukd handle both the painting and the wood repairs - finding some who could do both was harder than I expected. Gus and team were able to handle repairs with no problem. My house is sided with cedar shingles, which makes getting a good paint bond sometimes difficult. The crew did a great job of first power washing and then scraping and sanding to remove all the loose paint. They then applied an oil based primer, followed by two coats of solid stain with white semi-gloss on the trim. Stain & paint was all applied with brushes and rollers (old school!) not sprayed. The results are beautiful! Gus's Expert Painting was not the lowest bid, but I feel I got a very good value for the work performed. Highly Recommended!

Excellent work. Very responsive and professional. My house is 90+ years old and requires some special attention to detail. Gus addressed all of my concerns as the work progressed. I'm very happy with the result. I hired him again for an interior project for later this month.

The room took two days instead of one. His work was good and there was alot of trim. Would not use again,. There was one area that even though painted did not cover the residue oil? and he said he did everything right and couldn't fix it . I have to repaint the area - so if its straight forward job he can do a good job -if its complicated, he is not the bets one for the job

He did a good job on my deck but promised me that he would come back and finish some minor issues with the deck and seal my driveway when the weather was cooler but he now says that he is too busy to finish the work. He also hit us with a $150 fee for removing the old boards. I think he is dishonorable and breaks his promises.

The estimate went well but I decided to hold off on the job due to cost estimates.

This Fall I called Gus Expert Painting and Home Improvement to help with paint and various repairs related to storm damage from the previous winter. The work included interior and exterior prep and painting as well as Sheetrock repair, wallpapering and extensive wood repair and caulking. We also had a new Skylight installed on the second floor. They were able to work within my timeline and the cost was as estimated. I have used Gus Expert Painting and Home Improvement for several years now whenever we have a home project and have always found Gus and his team to be honest, reliable and easy to deal with. They have always meet and exceeded my expectations with the quality of the work they provide, not to mention the meticulous clean-up which I appreciate. I highly recommend this company.

We've had very positive experiences working with Gus, which is why we continue to call him when additional projects come up. He provides detailed estimates and so far invoices have been consistent with estimates (so no surprises). He and any additional workers that he may bring into a project are professional, always on time, and clean up after themselves very well. Gus will continue to be one of our go-to people for projects at home.

Gus gave an estimate for exterior painting, which was very limited in detail. He did the job as promised, and the work that he did was fine. My issue is that the price he charged me was about 33% more than the estimate he gave me. His crew came and sanded down the exterior area that was to be painted. After doing this for 3 days, Gus then calls me and tells me that there is rotten wood to be repaired, and that I would have to pay for the needed materials as well as labor. Not only did he know this when he gave me the estimate, but when I called him I reiterated the fact that the rotten wood needs repair, and he told me that he would take care of it. Needless to say, when I received the call in the middle of the project, I agreed to pay because I did not really have another option. The $2500 dollar job ended up costing me $3100 (after a 10% discount for using Angie's List). One thing is for sure, I would never hire someone who uses deceitful practices, and for that reason I would not recommend Gus. I did also explain my frustration directly to him, and urged him not to change prices in the middle of a project. If I was not in a rush to get the painting finished, I would have fired him and hired someone with better business practices. Interestingly, he did not seem to think what he did was wrong. I have also officially learned my lesson to get a detailed estimate in writing, describing specifically what is included in the pricing.

Gus Lopez owns the company and it is small enough so that, most days, he was on-site working with his men, and I could talk to him directly about any concerns. He was easy to do business with, used email when I preferred it, and showed up when he said he would. Everyone working on-site was very polite. They did all the work promised and were very careful about clean-up everyday and carting away of all debris - no mess left. After the power wash, they stayed away for a day to let the clapboards dry; I knew that was needed, but no company I've used had done it before. The house looks great, nice clean edges with the trim fully outlined. When they were on-site, I asked that they clean the gutters and wash the exterior of the interior (non-storm) windows as additional services; they did that very well. I didn't ask for a price on those jobs (probably should have), and the price asked was exactly in-line with the costs of the paint job. I am very pleased with all the results.

Based on our positive experience with Gus painting the exterior of our home last year, we engaged him to paint our kitchen. Gus and his helper were meticulous and hard workers. They cleaned up each night so that the space was usable. Gus is very handy and made sure everything was done to his, and our, satisfaction. We would definitely be happy to work with Gus again.

We had a wonderful experience with Gus and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help with their home. He was highly responsive on the initial call and was able to start the job quickly. His price was reasonable and his service was excellent - he was punctual, professional, flexible, and most of all, his craftsmanship was superior to others I've worked with in the past. Everything came out beautiful! The job lasted about a week long and there were no inconveniences. He and his team cleaned up after themselves every night, which was much appreciated. He will be our first call on future projects!

Gus did an excellant job along with his helpers who were responsible people as well. Gus is flexible and is a man of his word. If he says he will do it, it will get done. Everything promised was delivered at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Once he started the job, he continued until it was completed. He was able to repair some rotted sills and replaced some aluminum siding facia that that was damaged. He is a good communicator and told us about problem areas as he found them and discussed how to handle them. Gus was very clean. He cleaned up every day. Highly recommended!!!

Excellent! I highly recommend Gustavo! He was courteous, polite, professional, clean, reasonable and punctual. He showed up for all appointments on time and provided me with a timely estimate. I had to wait about a week for availability but it was well worth it. The job was for an investment property and occupied by a tenant. He covered all of her furnishings and electronics with plastic and cleaned up after the job was complete- you'd never know work was just completed that is how well he cleaned up including sweeping the floors from the dust, etc. He even went above and beyond by replacing an cable outlet cover that was old and dingy with a new one. A total surprise and nice touch for which I was extremely impressed. Although a little gesture, it went a long way in my opinion and speaks volumes to his attention to detail and customer service. The experience was nothing but positive!!!!

Gus and his team were very professional and always arrived on time. They did an amazing quality job! Their prep and finish work was outstanding and made a big difference in the overall results. They took pride in their craftsmanship and were meticulous with clean-up which I really appreciated. He even painted my planter and took care of some masonry work that needed repair. The house looks great and I have had many compliments from the neighbors. A great experience overall. I would highly recommend Gus Expert Painting.

I called Gus for an estimate and he responded right away. No waiting....when he said he would stop by he did. Gus was courteous, prompt, efficient and his work is meticulous. I found his prices to be fair. I have a dog in the home and Gus was fine with this added attraction. A value to the consumer to have a local man available to help.
