They were very efficient and did a great job. It had really made a difference in our energy bill.

The crew arrived as planned and on time. The job took about two days, which was anticipated. They were very accommodating to the furnishings and clutter that they had to work around to reach the exterior walls. They worked as neatly as possible. To minimize dust and debris, they held a vacuum nozzle by the drill wherever they made holes. The only wall I think they didn't do as well as others was in the main floor bathroom where the exterior wall is tiled up to about four feet in height. The choice there was to risk damaging tiles by removing or drilling through them or forgo insulating in that small area. They did insulate that wall through holes drilled above the tiles, but, in non-tiled walls, two holes - an upper and a lower hole - were drilled for more complete coverage, as mentioned earlier. In all, I am satisfied with the workmanship and the patience Tony and his crew demonstrated, answering all my questions before and during the process.

Tony responded promptly to our phone call apprx. 2 weeks ago and said he would be able to do the blown-in cellulose insulation and the fiberglass insulation install on Saturday, 10/25/14. Tony seemed very knowledgeable when it came to explaining where he thought this room we wanted insulated should be insulated in order to make it more weatherproof. We explained that we also were a little concerned about the temperature in our bathroom and he said he could put extra fiberglass insulation into the exterior walls to help fix this problem. Tony and his son, Keith, arrived a little later than we expected them to arrive but we do believe the fulfilled all of our wishes and obligations for a well-done job. They were neat and tidy and explained what they were doing as they went along, answering our questions if we had any. They cleaned up the exterior area of our home to our satisfaction and laid down tarps in areas which we were concerned might damage the plants in our garden; they vacuumed the area afterwards and left it looking very neat. Although it wasn't exceptionally cold last night, we do believe we already feel a difference in the temperature of these rooms and they even seem quieter. If you're interested in having your home evaluated for blown-in insulation, etc., please give these guys a try. I don't think you will be disappointed and we would definitely recommend and use them again.

Tony was wonderful to work with. I hired him for my attic insulation. His quote was the best among other three I received from different companies and the service covered more like removing the floor etc. He came out for an estimate quickly and even returned my call on weekends. I would highly recommend him !

They are very low key. It was very affordable. The work was done very well and efficiently. The people were very nice, very pleasant, informative, and polite. We are happy with the work.

I purchased a house that was built in 1900 and since the purchase the second and third floor were always colder than the first floor as much as by 8 degrees. After looking into this myself, I discovered the insulation was old, deteriorating and inadequate in a number of places. I investigated which method of insulation would be best considering the age of the home and accessibility to the areas that required improved insulation. Tony took his time explaining what my options were and how he would handle the work. Being that the house was over 100 years old did present some problems, but Tony and his crew were experienced and they did an excellent job installing both blown-in insulation and batt insulation. The job took two and a half days, and upon completion of his work all three floors are near the same temperature and now the whole house is comfortable which says a lot considering the age of the home. I highly recommend Tony and Energy Specialist.

We have a 1940s home with absolutely no insulation inside the external walls. We called Tony for an estimate and he came the same day as he said he would. He surveyed the area we wanted take care of (front bedroom) and showed us what work was needed. He was very detailed with his explanation and took the time to answer all our questions. He pointed out that the attic needed to be insulated as well but did not pressure me to have it added to the scope. I told him I would attempt to do it to save money and he had no issues with that. He even gave me some tips. What a nice guy. Since the work was straightforward he provided a firm estimate and we made arrangements to have him do the work on Sunday. He called on Saturday to confirm. He called to let us know that he was arriving and arrived with an assistant 15 minutes early. The work was completed in around 3 hours. He insulated a bit bigger area than he originally said he would just to make sure he did not miss a spot. He did not look to get paid extra which in my opinion speaks of professionalism which is not very common in contractors these days. At least not the ones I've hired recently (before Angie's list). The work area was left clean and we have no complaints. So far my experience has been consistent with the reviews here on Angie's list. This company is professional and fair, cares about their customers and deserves the high satisfaction rating. I would recommend Energy Specialist without hesitation and am delighted with their work.

Wonderful. Tony was very nice, polite and made sure his assistants were too. They were cleaned up thoroughly before leaving.

Both the bid and work went smoothly. Everyone was on time, cleaned up and took extra care to help me find a solution for my drier vent that was installed in a strange manner.

Our roof was being repaired, and at the last minute, I decided to have some additional insulation blown into the attic. I called Tony, and he agreed to do the job the next morning (New Years Eve). He and his guys were great and did a professional job for a fair price. Very responsive! Highly recommended.

We bought a 110 year old home about a year ago and our first winter was both chilly and expensive. Tony returned my call within a day and was out at our house within a few. Tony walked through our home and gave us multiple options. We ended up having all three floors reinsulated with blown in product. He also did additional insulation in some open attic space. We can already feel the difference. Tony was great. He and his crew did the work. I would highly recommend calling him and have already given his name to a few people.

This was one of the best experiences we've had with a contractor. The bid was highly competitive, they came on time, left the house spotlessly clean, and finished ahead of schedule. Who could ask for anything more?

Overall, it was excellent. It's owner operated and the owner has some incredible tenure. He's very familiar with insulating a home from the outside in. It was very attractive that he knew what he was talking about first hand. I was very fortunate. Three of my neighbors have also utilized his service because of what a good job he did with my home.

Initially Tony came over and gave me two estimates. The first for upstairs and the second for the walls of the house. The price was very competitive and I decide to go for the upstairs. His availability to do the work was very good. The work went as planned and Tony was good n giving details on what he would be doing and how long it would take. The price did not change by the end of the job, and the work finished to the quality I expected, and on time. Summer is a great time to get insulation done, and I would recommend Tony to anyone. I had a great experience.

Great. Tony was straightfoward, easy to work with and accomodating. Got an estimate which beat others, and did the installation several days later. Perfectly clean. The insulation immediately changed the acoustics in my home (made it quieter) and the distribution of cool central A/C is clearly better. I should have done this years ago.
