He gave me a reasonable estimate of $330 for the small jobs I wanted done. Then he said a corner of my roof was soaked with water from a plugged gutter. He said he would repair and waterproof the area. It took him a few minutes and he was done. He then charged me instead of $330, $1500. I was in shock, and afraid not to pay him. I gave him a check and he had me sign the receipt. In fact, what I signed was NOT a receipt but a PROPOSAL form. He hid the word PROPOSAL with his hand when he held the paper out for me to sign. Printed on the bottom of the form was an acceptance paragraph which indicated I agreed to pay before he did the job. This man is totally dishonest, and I have learned a very expensive lesson. I want to warn others not to be taken in by this liar. In addition to his dishonesty, he does very poor quality work.
Description of Work: This man not only did sloppy poor work, he gave me a reasonable estimate, and then lied about a "terrible" roof problem that he found. Instead of charging me $330 dollars, charged $1500. I was afraid not to pay him.

Metal Drip Edge wasn't installed/attached properly to roof; metal drip edge was not nailed to roof decking, causing metal drip edge to pull away roof. The Squirells returned and I notified contractor Robert Halliday of the problem, but he never came out to correct the problem.
Description of Work: Drip Edge installation required to enclose soffit area on roof to prevent squirells from entering soffit .
