+ 1 moreMy new driveway is spectacular. Family, friends & neighbors have all been astonished. It was a quick & very easy process. Fernando is a very nice man who helped me through the pattern & color choices. The old driveway was removed & the new driveway installed all in one day. 2 days later is was completed with a power washing and a sealer applied. I was off the driveway for only a few days. Very easy. I would highly recommend Far From Average Construction.
Description of Work: My old crumbling driveway needed to be removed and replaced. I chose to have a new driveway installed with stamped concrete.

He did everything to ensure we were satisfied with the job. You can see the pride he has in the performance he offers. We would absolutely use Fernando again. Our experience was great with him

We needed some help figuring out exactly what we wanted and Fernando worked with us to arrive at the best configuration for our space. Now, our backyard looks completely transformed. It aims to build a 15 X10 feet concrete slab in three sections and burry simulated defects (voids, delaminates nation, honeycomb), put pipes of different diameters at different depth and places inside the slab as the ground truth to test the GPR and Impact sounding instruments. I am very impressed that Fernando is very knowledgeable on the testing slab and give me good suggestions on what types of concrete mix should be used. His workers did a good job to level the slab, put defect boxes in place, and pour the concrete, and finished the job on time.

First he came to the house to discuss our vision for the patio...size, shape, color, estimate for the work, etc... We hired him to create a 500 sq. ft. Stamped concrete patio. We developed a timeline for the project and Fernando and his team delivered on everything on time. You could tell that it was very important to him that we were satisfied with the results of the project. He was a great communicator throughout the project and very easy to work with. Thank you Fernando! We would hire him again for another project in a heartbeat and recommend that you do too!

Description of Work: It never happened, because Fernando skipped out on two different appointments. The first appointment he was supposed to be here at 6:15 PM. I waited and waited and finally called him and he said that he had been stuck on a job and his phone was in his car and had overheated so he wasn’t able to contact me to let me know he was running late. He said he would be on his way and should be there by 7 PM or 7:15 PM. Once again, those time frames came and went and I finally got a hold of him and he told me that he had had a machine breakdown, but once again, he never contacted me. We rescheduled for today at 6:30 PM. It is now 7:10 PM, I have left two messages on his voicemail and have heard nothing from him. It’s hard for me to understand this type of Unprofessional behavior, given the good reviews he has gotten, but nevertheless, it is what it is. Thanks for the big waste of time, Fernando!

Description of Work: Fernando is a high quality person who works hard, pays attention to details and cares a lot about the quality of his work. We hired Fernando and his team to replace our old and worn out walkway and patio. He helped us choose the right colors, texture and made every step easy. Fernando and his crew came early on a Saturday morning and quickly removed the old concrete and replaced it with the new concrete. His crew were all very friendly and hard working. In the end, the new walkway and patio look amazing. Fernando came back a few days later to check up on everything and fix some minor sealer problems. He wouldn’t leave until the job was done right. We may get our driveway done soon too and will definitely hire Fernando again.

+ 0 moreAfter over 6 estimates, multiple calls, researching reviews and finding positive feedback, we decided to go with FAR from Average Construction to build our concrete stamped patio. Fernando did not disappoint. He was in constant communication during the planning stage, from area of the patio, to color suggestions, to fruition of the project. His customer service was impeccable. He listened to all of our concerns and ensured the cost was in budget. The work entailed a walkway, a bbq area and a 25x20 patio. On the day of the pour, Fernando and his team were punctual, efficient, and knowledgeable. We were consulted on every stage of the job, during installation. Fernando made sure all inquiries were addressed. They completed the task with minimal issues. The project was completed in 1 day, with power washing for 2 hours the next day and 3 days to cure and seal. We are completely ecstatic with our new outdoor living space. If you are looking for a person that has integrity and great work ethics, along with very reasonable pricing, FAR from Average Construction is the company.

Description of Work: Fernando and the Far From Average team did an absolute amazing job with our cabana flooring project. Period. For starters, with any homeowner on any project - it is hard to find a good contractor that you can trust. I am always a skeptic and building my trust through showing and proving is really the only way. Fernando’s quote was just slightly more than the cheapest estimate we received (by only a few hundred dollars)…….but I had a good feeling from the start when talking to Fernando about his estimate and the process. He communicated all throughout - before, during and after the project. Fernando’s priority is making sure the job is done right. He took the time to help us and recommend colors he thought would work best in our backyard. He also kept his word and returned several days after the project was complete to re-seal the area to make sure it looked right. I will use him again in the near future for two other projects we have planned on our property, and I highly recommend his service to everyone. He is one of the good guys out there and I am certain others will have the same experience. THANK YOU FERNANDO and team!!!

+ -1 moreFernando and his team did a great job! From start to finish, with each step of the process explained, and I felt well informed. The team had to remove an existing patio and pour concrete with the stamped/decorative finish, which initially estimated for two sessions completed in one day. There was a small hiccup with the color we originally chose that was out of the owner's control, but we were able to rectify and proceed on time. I have already recommended the company to a friend.
