The person on the phone was helpful, and quoted a rate of $45 for the service call that would be applied to the repair, if performed. The repair would be $65/hr plus parts. They came the next day (when others would not), and called before coming. So far, so good. The tech said we needed a "new defrost system" and the cost would be $246 plus tax. That sounded like a lot, but no one else would come quickly and my food was spoiling, so I agreed. I later learned that the "new defrost system" was a $30 part, the defrost thermostat. Even with a reasonable markup, the total charge shouldn't have been more than about $120 (he was there about 45 minutes). I was charged about a 500% markup on the part. A week later, the same problem recurred, so we called him back. He said we now needed a new "cool control," which would run me nearly $150. Doesn't this mean that the original repair was unnecessary, since it didn't solve the problem? Oh, no, he said. Apparently, both of these problems happened contemporaneously. And by the way, the charge for coming over today is $45. Needless to say, I didn't go through with the additional repair from Ace Tech and will not be using them again.

I telephoned the business and within 20 minutes the serviceman was on my doorstep. He disposed of the old parts and cleaned up at the completion of the job. The cost for the service was zero as it was covered under warranty by the American Standard Whirlpool Tub company. I was very happy with the company and encourage my friends to give him a call when problems arise.

THEY WERE VERY RELIABLE AND THE ARRIVED AT THE TIME THAT THEY HAD PROMISED. THE WORK THEY DID ON OUR APPLIANCES WAS GREAT AND THEIR PRICE WAS VERY COMPETITIVE.

THEY TRIED HARD TO FIX IT. THEY LEFT AND THEN IT STARTED TO LEAK AGAIN SO WHEN I CALLED THEM BACK, I HAD TO USE MY CELL PHONE AND IT DOESN'T GET GOOD SERVICE ALL THE TIME BECAUSE THE LANDLINE WAS DOWN. HE ENDED UP YELLING AT ME WHICH I THOUGHT WAS PRETTY RUDE.
