+ 0 moreSo impressed by the services provided by Burke Brothers Window & Gutter Cleaning. Had my windows washed and gutters cleaned by this professional company. Before entering my home, the men covered their shoes with booties and they couldn't be nicer or more respectful. They showed up on time and did an amazing job. Will use them again and again

Description of Work: Let me establish that I am a business owner of more than 28 years. As a successful business owner, I understand about listening to my clients and making my clients feel quite comfortable. With that said, I write this review, based upon the manner in which I was handled as a customer and not on the service itself as I did not receive the service. In fact, I only got to the stage of setting up an appointment, receiving a return phone call from Mr. Burke, today, July 11, 2011. Following, Mr. Burke then asked for the address of my location. I responded by spelling and giving him the street name. Mr. Burke then misspelled the address. I proceeded to give it to him twice more. As the address name can be difficult I attempted to respell it for him on each attempt. On the third attempt, Mr. Burke abruptly responded, " I am going to pass on this one" and hung up without giving me a chance to respond. As I shared at the beginning of the email, I am a business woman with success in serving the tristate area. It is a shame that the manner in which I was handled resulted in this. Though his service sounds wonderful, perhaps, this will serve to remind Mr. Burke that personal dealing is just as important as the job performed.

They blow out the gutters instead of running water through them, so I don't know whether there are any leaks or anything in the gutter. They do a very good job of cleaning the gutters. They are very prompt and punctual. They do a very efficient job. As far as window cleaning, their prices are very good.

+ -1 moreThe workers from Burke Brothers called me to let me know that they were on their way to my house and arrived when promised. The workers were very careful on the inside of the house, wearing booties and laying drop clothes or towels over any furniture that was close to the windows. The workers were careful and meticulous on the outside of the house as well, even helping us spray a big bees nest that we were unaware of. Overall, Burke Brothers did a fantastic job and I will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I retained Burke Brothers to wash my windows (all 35+ of them). They had also cleaned my gutters last year and I was so impressed, that I had them do my windows this time.

We hadn't cleaned this windows this thoroughly since we moved into the house over 10 years ago. Wow! What a difference. They were very clean, and everything was left as they found it. We plan on hiring them again every 2 to 3 years. Well worth it!

+ 0 moreManuel and his crew did a great job of cleaning the windows, especially 8 jalousied windows which are a pain in the butt to work with. They arrived promptly and worked diligently for over an hour. The results were excellent. I also wanted gutters cleaned as I had at least two blockages. They blew out the gutters and I have had no problems since, but I would have preferred if they had run water through the gutters and downspouts to make sure there were no leaks and all blockages were removed. However since there does not appear to be a any problems this was minor. The price for the window cleaning was excellent; the gutter cleaning was a little on the high side but not too bad. Overall I was very satisfied and will definitely use them again - I had used them last year as well.

The work was done shortly after I requested the service, although it was a bit interesting that they did not want to set a specific day and time. They said they would stop by and do it within then next 10 days. Luckily they were able to do it just a couple of days after I called. The crew was prompt, efficient, and professional. I would certainly use them again.

They were very professional, very friendly, extremely thorough, diligent and when I asked to have screens pulled and washed they were more than happy to accommodate... + -1 moreI left a message in the morning requesting a call back for an estimate. John Burke called back promptly by 1pm. After asking a few questions, he told me he was not able to service our gutters because they are covered with a solid gutter cover. Apparently there is liability involved since all the gutter covers must be removed for proper cleaning and he said he and his crew don't have the equipment required to clean covered gutters. That said, I found him to be professional, forthright, and helpful. He answered several of my questions regarding gutter maintenance and possible insect problems and recommended I speak with my local hardware store for handyman or covered gutter cleaning referrals. I really like that he was honest about the kind of service he and his crew could/could not handle and he came across as a vendor/service person I would trust again in the future.

+ -1 moreThe company had been here already twice for window cleaning and gutter cleaning. Both times, they did a great job. We received an advertisement at the beginning of March for for 15% off repeat customers. I call on the 29th of March and was told that, because of an overwhelming response they would not be able to get to me by the end of March. My fault since I did not respond immediately. 30 minutes later I received a call advising me that due to a cancellation, they had an opening for the 30th at 3:00pm. I was very grateful and took that opportunity. The 3 young men we had before came on time; did a wonderful job, as before; moved all the necessary furniture away from the windows and put them back upon completion of the work, and I had nice, clean windows for Easter. I can highly recommend this company and will be going back to them year after year!!

+ -1 moreOverall they did a great job. John Burke was very professional and personable. When I called (just 2 weeks before Christmas) he was already booked solid thru the holidays. He gave me his first opening, Jan. 5th (a Saturday), and offered to come earlier if anyone cancelled (didn't happen). On Jan. 2 he called me just to reconfirm, and on Jan. 5th he called to say they were on their way. He and his assistant spent several hours washing our windows and did a great job. I will call them again when the windows need it. I forget what the price was, but it was in the same range as other estimates I got.
