Great service. We had a patio redone, it exceeded our expectations. It has been 2 years and I still get compliments. Thinking of going in for a pool as their work is outstanding.

ESPJ construction was fantastic, from the initial contact, to the designing of the patio and fire pit, to the actual implementation and follow-ups. As we proceeded through our first design, to making changes and asking for guidance on various ideas we had, they were very accommodating to help us get exactly what we wanted. I especially liked that I could contact the office and pretty much any time and talk to someone on the phone about anything I needed or wanted to know. The final result came out absolutely perfect. I hired ESPJ Construction to replace the cement around my pool area. I went with them because Giovanni offered to throw in a free item if I signed up that day. I probably should have requested a few more estimates. What I came to realize is the ESPJ is a construction company. They are not "pool people". They did nothing to try and protect the pool liner or underground pipes/wires. The first issue was when they sliced through an electric cable going to the pool area lights. When I asked about what they were going to do about it, the response was "we are not electricians". Oh, OK... I guess I'll have to rewire the lights myself at my own expense. The second issue is they put some holes in my pool liner so I was losing water every day. I had to hire a diver (at my own expense) to get in water to find and fix the holes. I ended up having to get a new liner (another expense). The last and biggest issue was that they crushed one of the return pipes when pouring the cement. I had all the line pressure tested (at my own expense) prior to ESPJ pouring the cement but they crushed the pipe on the pour. I had to hire a leak detection company twice (at my own expense) to locate the leak and then repair it. ESPJ did come back to cut out a section of the cement where the leak was so I could get access to the crushed pipe. When they returned to pour the cement in the cut out section, they used the wrong color when coloring the cement. Giovanni said he would return to try and change the color but that was 6/16/20. At this point, I do not want them on my property anymore. The cement block with a different color will be a constant reminder for me to always get multiple estimates and to properly vet the company you're going to use for a large project. Lesson learned...

Will not do business with them.

First off, I was contacted by the office to confirm an appointment for Giovanni to come to our home to receive a quote for some masonry work around the exterior of our home. I confirmed all of my information as well as date and time. I was told by the woman working in the office that Giovanni can come by at 7:30AM on Saturday March 19th and that he has a meeting at 8:30AM. I was fine with this and I explained to the woman that I will be home. Giovanni never came nor called to let me know if he would be coming or not. So, I called several times Saturday but no answer. I left a voicemail and the same woman calls me back on Monday March 21st and to asks me if he can come Tuesday at 7:20AM. I told her no he cannot because I work during the week and I am available only on the weekends. After explaining this to her, I receive a call from Giovanni at 7:15AM on Tuesday March 22nd as I am heading into work. He asks me where my home is and I had to explain to him the same thing I told the woman in the office about my availability. I asked him if he can come on Saturday March 26th but I couldn't understand him very well as the phone reception was poor. I think he said he would get back to me, but he never bothered to call me to reschedule. I guess ESPJ doesn't need the work. I will be looking elsewhere for another contractor. I was more than patient and willing to give them a chance but the blew it! First impressions are everything and they missed a golden opportunity by not following up like they should have in the first place.
