IThey came on time for both the estimate and the actual work. We were kept informed of issues with the permit and when it would be resolved. When he came to do the install he was prompt, professional and friendly. He answered questions and helped select which circuits should be connected to the generator. The work looks good and the area was left clean. At the end of the job we tested the panel with the generator and he made sure I knew how to operate the system. The best was when the inspector came and commented that he really likes the work of Kope Electric and has never seen a problem. The cost was just as estimated and was 2.5 times lower than another company. I would certainly use Kope again

I called for an estimate. They were very prompt in scheduling an appointment for me. The only thing I did not like was that it was a windowed estimate (i.e. 1:30 - 4:30). However, I needed to cancel the appointment due to work scheduling and they were very nice about trying to reschedule... I have not rescheduled with them at this time.

They were very competitively priced, very responsive and professional and did a great job.

We were homeowners for more than 14 years in Bridgewater NJ, and recently moved to Warren, NJ. Our current home was built in the late 1700's and 1800's, has 20 inch stone walls in the basement, plaster ceilings and walls which are around 3 inches thick, and a lack of outlets throughout the home. We found Kope Electric and its owner, Jeremy Kope through Angie's list. Including Kope, we met with 4 electrical companies to get bids on the work we wanted completed. Based on the estimates and after meeting and speaking with Jeremy, we decided to move forward with his company. It was the ABSOLUTE best decision we ever made. Ever facet of our experience, from pricing, to customer service to professional results was just amazing. Having such an old home created quite a number of obstacles, but Jeremy and his Electrician Mark did an outstanding job. My wife is very handy, very determined and very critical of the work we've had done over the years. We have finished basements, upgraded kitchens and bathrooms, done extensive landscape work and have had a Gunite pool installed with flagstone decking. Through all of these upgrades, we have worked with various contractors and subcontracts. Some of these were "not so good" and others were "very good". Rarely have we had a contractor that was above expectations. The experience we had with Kope Electric was absolutely above our expectations. I realize that this review seems over the top positive, but I believe it's important to give an honest review, both when bad and when good. Jeremy is honest, personable, professional and competitively priced and his work was clean, timely and done just right. It feels so good to hire a company and get everything you expected. One last accolade... Sarah made the customer service experience so pleasant with her email reminders cheerful personality and utmost professionalism.

They were reliable and they were here on time. They cleaned up after themselves to where you don’t even know they were here. The estimate was average compared to others. We had it inspected and we were told everything was fine.

The service provided by this company was very professional. The estimate was detailed which included a 200 AMP service upgrade, a generator interlock kit and generator outlet approximately 75 feet from the main. Jeremy arrived on time and reviewed the work to be done. He took extra time to confirm with local inspectors if the interlock kit was approved for use in the area. I had little doubt that this company was able to provide quality service for the work that was described but the price was higher than others. We select another contractor mainly based on price. If you do not mind paying a little more for peace of mind, give them a try.

kope electric was very good at coming out quickly. they came the same day i called, i think even with the very busy pre hurricane week. they were kind and respectful, just could not perform the work as quickly as another bid, so we didn't end up using them.

The experience was excellent. The person was very nice and seemed to be very competent!

During the aftermath of hurricane sandy, we were without power for days. i had a generator, but it wasn't hooked up to my house's circuit panel so i could run my furnace, sump pump, fridge, and some key outlets. Therefore I needed to get a transfer switch installed. while they didn't have the switch, I was able to pick up at Lowes, they were able to come to install that monday, 9am after just calling them on Saturday. I was impressed with their responsiveness given that I imaging many other people were looking to get the same thing done. I was quoted about $1200 to complete the job. the electrician was able to get the job done in 2 visits. after the first visit i had a way of connecting into my panel and could heat my house again! after the second visit (which was needed for me to source the external connection box for pernanent install) I had a long term solution to my power outages. they took the time needed to hook up the specific circuits i needed and he was creative in getting me going when not all of the needed parts were available. additionally, since it was an emergency job there was no time to get an electrical permit ahead of time. however, even after they completed the work they managed the process of getting me a permit from the town and being present when the inspector came to certify the work (which went very smoothly). all in all I was quite pleased, and they came in under estimate at around $600-700 dollars!

My son-in-law was pleased. They came on a timely basis. They did the work in a short period of time, and the price was fairly reasonable.

At times I needed clarification on what I needed to do with this unfamiliar machine – but when I asked I was told what I needed to know. Perhaps they should have a brochure for timid new owners like myself.

The hurricane came in the middle of the installation. They were able to get right back on schedule and get it installed as soon as possible. Everything went as planned. It was a professional installation.

The most impressive part was the communication and responsiveness directly from the owner, Jeremy. My emails and calls were responded to same day. Before Kope, I would wait two weeks + for an electrician to call back IF anyone even called me back at all! That was not the case here. I had the work DONE before other contractors even called back to schedule an estimate. Additionally, the team was courteous, professional, and the panel works perfectly.
