Excellent work

The work was done in a timely and professional manner. I was consulted (as needed) throughout all stages of the project. The outcome was exceptional and exceeded my expectations.

Requested the work on April 29, paid a deposit of $100 and got the job done on May 14. I work from home so timing wasn't an issue. I will definitely call them again when we decide what other work we want to have done in the future, but my husband likes to fix things himself. The problem with this fix was the height of it. Roof work is not his cup of tea. :) Oh, and I accidentally paid the full amount and they refunded me the $100 deposit on May 18. I should have deducted that from the total I paid. Just goes to show they are an honest company to work with.

My experience with this company was excellent from start to finish. It began with a visit to my home by a sales rep from the company. He was knowledgeable, professional and personable. He listened and answers all my questions with patience and respect. Then he assessed the job and wrote up a proposal adding that I?d be receiving a phone all in a few weeks to book the job. A small deposit was required by me to show my confidence in the company and commitment to the contract. I received a follow-up phone call confirming the arrival of two workers. When they arrived they had a copy of the contract and knew exactly what to do. They were professional, friendly, patient, polite and respectful of my questions. I was judging them to make sure I was comfortable having them do the job. They explained the steps they would take and the materials they would use. During the different stages of the job, they rang my bell to show me and explain the nature of the repair. Some additional product was required and they came back the next day with it and completed the project. They cleaned up the area and everything looked as good as new. I highly recommend this company because they regard the customer with the utmost respect and concern, and will do what is necessary to accommodate the customer?s requests and needs. Their work is professional and their office help are competent and satisfy the customer without hesitation or delay.

Hunterdon Siding and Window was one of 3 companies we contacted for our project. They were not the cheapest, or the most expensive, but in my opinion offered the best value for money with a good quality product. Unlike some companies, there was no high pressure sales tricks, no silly heat lamp demos or standing on windows etc. And no "special prices if you sign now" tricks. Fred, the owner, gave a professional and confident demonstration of his products and company without being pushy or taking hours to make a presentation. He was happy to stand by his price and to wait while we evaluated offers from the other companies. Installation was smooth and the installers were professional and did a good job. They completed the whole installation in two days and cleared up when they left leaving the work areas clean and tidy. The bug screen for the patio door was dented when it came out of the box, but the installers reported it immediately and replacement was provided the next day - excellent service! Overall, I am very happy with the results and would recommend them.

This is my 2nd time using this company and based on my first experience with them, I did NOT want to use them again but they seemed to be the only company that would come out for this project so we were pretty much desperate. We explained to them over the phone exactly what we wanted included in our estimate. The guy came out and gave us an estimate on the spot. A few days later, we get a call from them that the guy stopped back at our house (without our permission or knowledge) when we were not home and noticed some others things that needed to be fixed. These items were not included in the reason we were calling and in my opinion, should not have been their business, as they were not related. Furthermore, we had had a home inspection done several months prior and the things he was telling us needed to be fixed were not a big deal as this guy was claiming. The guy said that he called us before stopping over but my phone tells me if I have missed a call and there was no message. There was no missed call. So either this guy was lying about having called or they did not take the time to ensure that they were calling the right house. But either way, they should have asked our permission to come back on to our property in the first place. And it was obvious they were trying to suck every penny from us. When it was time for the actual work, we just got a knock on the door...no call telling us someone would be coming out. I had to call the company to be sure this was one of their guys and not something else. We also recently were emailed a bill for the first service we had done by them - over a year earlier which we paid at the time. So, some one needs to be managing their records better. It seemed that they were again trying to suck more money out of us for something we already paid and/or their office needs better management. My advice is to be sure you are paying exactly what they quoted and if you receive something from them that seems like a duplicate, call them before paying. Also, do not let them push you into getting unnecessary work done. The guy who came to do the work was ok. He used some inappropriate language while completing the job but thankfully, my kids were not home. He also was telling us that we needed all this work done that was not in the original estimate. We had another guy come out who said what the guy was saying was over the top. Also, they left a mess. Not a very professional, courtesy company.

They responded immediately to my call. Came to the house, inspected the damage. A few days later they provided a reasonable estimate for the fascia trim repair and the carpenter bee mitigation. As expected the carpenter bee work was more involved than the original repair since they had had to loosen the existing aluminum fascia on every rake board and insert new pieces behind the rake board as well as insert the Cobra ridge vent. Of the total cost, 25% was the original repair and 75% was the carpenter bee mitigation. Hopefully it will be worth it and I won't need to keep hiring an exterminator. Hunterdon Siding was very responsive, did all the work in one day and cleaned everything up.

The job went very well with no issues and the new door functions as expected with no air or water leaks. The installers were efficient and conscientious with their work. We are very happy with the results and the price was competitive with other contractors in the area for the same type of door. We would definitely use Hunterdon Siding again for future work.

The estimate was mid-way between two others I received, and costs seemed fair and in line with going rates charged by other companies in my area. The work was conducted professionally, and completed according to the estimate that had been provided. Any problems were quickly resolved, and debris was removed promptly. Especially appreciated that, once the project was begun, the crew showed up every day and worked steadily until the job was complete (this despite unforeseen demand for emergency repairs elsewhere, caused by Hurricane Sandy, which had occurred just before work on my job was to start)

The service was very good. He was always there to follow up on the service. He sent guys out to brush the snow off the roof to continue working.

All of the work was performed on the days agreed including providing the estimate. All of the staff were courteous and kept us informed on the work in progress. The estimate and the bill matched exactly, I definitely would use this company again.

Hunterdon Siding & Window was pretty good. They were pretty quick. They did it in 2 days. They were not inexpensive, but at the time we just needed the work done. We couldn't live in our house until it was repaired, so they were efficient in that sense. They did a good job. They could have been better with the follow up. Overall we were satisfied with what was going on.

The quote process was fine. There was so much damage from the storm that there were no calls to them. They said they were coming out and would get back to me on a schedule when they would come out, but they didn't call me back. I had to call them again. Originally, they said they would charge for the estimate because they had so many people calling, but they didn't; so I would say the process went well. They quoted $4700 for the job.

The company representative was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. We decided on a different kind of door, so did not use this company for the job, but would definitely consider them again in the future.

My experience with Hunterdon Siding and Window Co. was excellent. Ken, their sales representative, is extremely knowledgeable and efficient. He provided all the information we needed and worked with us to select the windows and doors that best fit our needs. He was always easy to get in touch with and his follow through on all aspects of the job were terrific. The quality of the windows, doors and workmanship was also excellent. The crew arrived on time every day and their work was very high quality. They worked quickly, but always took extra time if needed to ensure the job was done correctly. They were very meticulous. The crew also cleaned up the work site every day and hauled away the old windows and doors. I would highly recommend Hunterdon Siding and Window Co., the job was a 100% positive experience.

The job went very well. After obtaining several estimates I was happy with what I heard from Hunterdon siding. The crew started when I was told. Weather was good so they were able to complete in about 5 work days. The installation crew was very good (Adam's crew). They were attentive to every detail, courteous and communicated well.

The quality of the work has been excellent. The value was excellent. We're really happy with the quality of the windows and our new front door. The people who installed the windows and the door were very professional and I was really comfortable having them in the house. They seem to have some communication issues between the front office and the installation staff. We had some problems with coordinating installation dates and coordinating the final details. Overall, they did a very good job.

While they were not the contractor I selected, they were prompt, professional and knowledgeable and performed a thorough inspection. Their pricing was too high above other roofing contractors. They did follow up and I indicated I selected another roofing contractor and when I told them their pricing was too high they left a phone message indicating a revised price proposal that essentially matched the price I paid to the selected contractor. I felt the 20% higher initial estimate was an outlier and their reconsidered estimate was a bit too late.

The owner is very friendly but often a little scattered. We needed the windows to be installed before our son's first birthday party. They got our windows in very quickly and the work was perfect. The house was left clean and there was no evidence left that any construction went on at all. The installers were friendly and professional. The owner offered to install the remaining windows on a payment plan whenever we'd like to finish them.

It went beautifully. Their guy was terrific, all around. A real craftsman, meticulous about his work. Their price was about 30% less than Summerville Aluminum, and almost 1/2 of a large chain operation. Note though, that ownership has since changed hands. This is a family run business; the father retired & the son took over. I have no idea how they are now. The guy that did our job is no longer there. Still, the son grew up in the business, so I wouldn't expect much change in quality. This just means my review is dated, and you'll need to check out the details yourself. The family has been in the area for a long time, and I have heard no change from their good reputation.

We are DIY' ers, so this is one of the first times we used any contractors. We were very nervous that the job would not be done to our standards. Our fears were for naught. The job was done professionally from the start to finish.

The existing vinyl siding on our house was of poor quality, and the installation was not done properly, leaving many seams, gaps, voids and entry points into the house which allowed thousands of stink bugs a place to hibernate and enter the interior of the house (I believe the previous homeowner installed the siding himself). Hunterdon Siding & Window provided a very competitive price and they were very easy to work with during the decision making process, providing us with information, ideas and alternatives. We decided on the beaded smooth 8-1/4" Hardie Plank fiber cement siding due to appearance, durability and its effectiveness in depriving the stink bugs a place to reside. The installation process went very well with no inconvenience. They started work not too long after the contract was signed, and worked very efficiently from beginning to end, even with harsh conditions due to the cold. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations. They were very detail oriented, taking great care to ensure all seams and gaps were properly caulked. Most important of all they were always very forthright, accommodating and courteous. I would highly recommend Hunterdon Siding & Window Co.

They were excellent and there were no problems. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and told you what they were going to do every day.

Everything went well. Good response from 1st contact to end. The installer was meticulous. The price was 2/3rds of Sommerville Aluminum's. It was done in March, so the price was extra good and they wanted to keep their excellent installer busy. A year or two later some of the (high end!) siding warped. They had a rep from the company come out who saw the installation was correct and they replaced those pieces quickly, and of course free, with no hassle. This was at a time when the father owned the business. Since then he's retired and his son (who was in the business with him) took over as owner/manager. I believe the quality hasn't dropped, but I can no longer vouch for the pricing. The only reason I gave a 'B' rating was because of the unknowns at this point. I would've given all 'A's if the father was still in charge. I don't know how much has/hasn't changed since then, thus the more cautious 'B' rating. Being a small, independent local business where quality & fair pricing keeps you in business, I would venture to say the values are probably close to the same. Definitely worth looking into.

I have used Fred before for work when we had to replace our sliding glass doors (4 of them). He was very helpful and responsive. The office staff (Cathy) is very nice since I called every day asking when my doors were going to come in. This time that I used them for a leak in my roof. Fred had his guys come out right before we were getting a big storm to caulk up the hole/leak since they couldn't do the full fix since it was about to rain. The nex sunny day they were out here and fixed the roof. I also had them replace my double front door and two side lights. They were old and leaking onto my new wood floors. Ford (one of Fred's guys) came to do the work. He is polite and very helpful. He pays attention to detail and overall did a quality job. Hunterdon window and siding has been good to me. They aren't the cheapest around but they do a good job. I didn't give them an A on quality because I am a perfectionist and it would be really hard to get an A out of me. So a B is really good.
