I was beyond impressed with the entire experience. The attention to detail and the professionalism surpassed any previous experiences we have had by far. The workers were punctual and did an impeccable job cleaning up when they were finished for the day. I would highly recommend RYCO Contracting. In fact, I already have. They have started construction at my father's house!

My fiancee and I purchased a townhouse condo last fall that was built around 1990 and was badly in need of upgrading. The kitchen in particular was outdated and closed in, with a single doorway to the dining room. Ryan, the owner of Home Exteriors, worked with us and created an open-floor plan that included a breakfast bar / island on the dining room side, the removal of an unnecessary wall to the living room, and a completely unique "window" that allows the viewing of our corner fireplace from inside the kitchen. The existing cabinets were of good quality, so rather than replacing them, he gave them a modern look by simply refinishing them. New flooring was installed, along with new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops throughout, including the island. A beautiful, two-color subway tile backsplash and under-cabinet LED lighting completed the look. The kitchen now looks absolutely amazing - our friends and family who saw it both before-and-after cannot believe the difference. The other major change was in the basement. It was previously finished, but it was laid out awkwardly and wouldn't suit our desire to have a dedicated home theater. Again, working with Ryan, everything was completely redone, and in the end we now have an enclosed home theater, complete with two-level seating and a beautiful sliding-door closet on one wall that conceals custom shelving for our extensive movie collection. The room has its own ventilation and soundproofing, as well as custom mounting shelves for the surround speakers. Outside of the home theater, it was intelligently laid out so that we also have a separate seating area and another music-only system, complete with storage for a large music (CD and records) collection. Everything was designed so as to keep the large existing laundry room intact. Other minor improvements were made throughout the house, such as lighting fixtures and ceiling fans installation and replacement, door hardware replacements, painting, etc., all of which serve to make the place seem completely new. We also need to have a couple of windows replaced, and did not hesitate to schedule Home Exteriors to perform that work as well, and we have no doubt that we will be happy with it. It's worth mentioning that Ryan and his workers were a pleasure to work with, unfailingly friendly and polite. When issues did arise (and there will always be some), there was always a willingness to work it out so that we were happy, and also importantly to work within our budget. Ryan's suggestions, input and creativity proved invaluable in that regard. Highly recommended!
