The staff was very helpful & easy to deal with. We did a bit of shopping around and when comparing pricing & service with the big box stores and they were very competitive. We would have had to send one of our drivers to multiple big box stores to get the required number but we opted to have their friendly driver deliver all of them to us in one shot! We all felt that the biggest reason was that they are a local independent business and (as everyone knows) when you spend money with this type of business most of the money then flows right back into the community we live & work in as opposed to wherever corporate headquarters is located. All in all a great experience and last I checked we may be needing to reorder more of them!
Description of Work: Mrs. G's was helpful & fast as we needed 12 window air conditioners to help our clients out with temporary cooling. They showed up on our dock as expected in perfect shape!

What a TERRIBLE experience. We just bought an entire kitchen's worth of top of the line Jenn Air appliances from Mrs. G's and will NOT be going back or recommending others. The person we worked with was great - really nice guy. But from day one there were always issues of "I sent you an email, you didn't get it?!" and "I tried calling you" that was the theme throughout. I asked him to keep my wife Cc'd on the emails (just in case if I really wasn't getting the emails, at least one of us would) and he couldn't even do that. This was the common theme from June 2015 - Oct 2015...so I'm just about fed up with all of this. We placed an order in late June 2015 and was told appliances were arriving in Aug 2015. We were told one appliance was on backorder - fine, no problem, rock on. Fast forward to Aug 2015, the delivery arrives, but much to our surprise there were two additional appliances missing - they were also on backorder. We were never informed that anything else was backordered, so you can imagine our frustration. We were putting in a brand new kitchen at this time, so this delayed the work of our contractors. It's one thing if things are late - I get it, stuff happens. But now our contractors were frustrated because this throws off their schedule by at least a week. This just wasted everyone's week...and our money. And again, it's fine if things are backordered - it happens! But just let us know ahead of time so we can plan our work. Our contractors would have appreciated that very much, too. Fast forward a few weeks more, everything eventually comes in, the contractors finish up and everything is dandy. We were missing a toe kick for one refrigerator, so I emailed them to see if they could send that to us. This is in late Aug 2015. Well...after almost two more months of emailing and more "I sent you an email but you never responded", not to mention a few more "I called you but it said your number was disconnected", I've certainly had it. I'm not sure what kind of game was going on, but it just seemed like things weren't getting done. By the way, it's Oct 2015 and we finally did receive the toe kick after a month of waiting, but we didn't get the screws for it. Is this their way of saying "screw" you? Maybe, just maybe... ATTENTION FUTURE BUYERS - please be aware and avoid the hassle.

Description of Work: Our last purchase from here was a dishwasher and range, and we previously purchased a fridge. They carry a large selection of appliances and offer very competitive prices - in fact on two of the appliances we purchased their prices were actually better than the big box stores. Sales people are friendly. Their delivery service is good, although I find the guys can be a bit rough sometimes with bringing the appliances in. They do a good job installing the appliances however.

The sales visit was excellent. Rep toured me through all the models and explained how the appliances work. I left with a quote. I went back a few months later to purchase 6 appliances. Was told there was a price increase of $200 on the fridge. That made sense to me, but I wondered why the whole appliance line didn't get a price increase...why just the fridge? I left with an updated quote and went home to do some final measurements. I researched online and found out that there was NOT a price increase on the fridge. Went back to the store and asked about the increase. They looked into it and claimed it was a computer mistake. They did reduce the price to the actual retail price. I'm sure if I hadn't caught their "mistake" the sale would have gone through at an extra $200. I placed the order and was reviewing it a final time. They removed one of the items from the order. Again, my detail-checking caught it, but they didn't check their own work to make sure everything I needed was on the order. When it came time to pay the final bill right before delivery, they neglected to take the rebate from it. If I hadn't reminded them and explained the rebate program that I bought under, they would not have shown the discount on the final bill. They had to re-do the paperwork to show the rebate, after I asked why it wasn't on the bill. Deliver was delayed by about 4 hours. They called to say they were running late, but 1 hour delay turned into 2 hours and then turned into 4 hours. Truck dropped off appliances. Driver and helper complained the whole time about how overworked they were. Very unprofessional. Driver couldn't read the serial numbers to crosscheck them to his paperwork. It was awkward to have him complaining the whole time and struggling to complete the paperwork correctly. My installer went to install the appliances and discovered one item was damaged. It appeared to have been dropped, because one corner was very bent. Called Mrs. G's and spoke to sales rep. He said he'd leave a message with their staff member who handles repairs. Two days go by and I still didn't get a callback. I called directly and spoke to the repair staff member. He never knew about my issue. Seems my sales rep didn't tell him about it, or he just denied knowing about it. He passed me straight to the manufacturer. He said once I accept delivery, it's between me and the vendor. So now, I paid full price for a damaged item. Yes, the vendor eventually replaced the broken part, but now I paid for a new item, but really only have a refurbished one. Mrs. G's never once followed up with me on the status of anything. They didn't care they delivered a broken item. They are great at sales, but are awful at service and support. A few days later, I had problems with two of the other appliances. Both times, I called Mrs. G's first and they just passed me to the manufacturer. It irks me every time I drive past their building and see their sign that screams "75 years of satisfied customers." I'm not satisfied with them and I could never recommend a friend to use them.

The new dryer was installed and performs well, however, the delivery men did not remove the old dryer.. They mentioned they would return with equipment to complete job and never did. Old dryer that I am unable to move myself still sitting in my basement. I won't return and remain a very dissatisfied customer.
Description of Work: Purchased replacement clothes dryer, servicemen were supposed to remove old appliance. They never returned even after calls to business.

Member, I am so sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with Mrs. G’s. I am the third generation owner and I take our customer service very personally. I reviewed your purchase back December, 2005. Because it was some time ago it was hard for me to get to the bottom as to why our drivers did not remove your dryer. We offer to haul away old appliances to all our customers. Why they did not haul away yours at that time you are the only one that has the answer. I would love to know. Since you are very close to the store I would like to invite you to stop by so I can apologize personally or please feel free to call to give me with more information so I can correct any customer dissatisfactions with this same issue in the future.
