After a few years of making minor repairs on my deck I knew we had reached the point where a replacement was necessary. I reached out to Triumph Construction LLC (Forked River) for a few estimates to replace my deck as well as consider a remodel of the deck. Jim was very responsive to my request, we met and I was provided with a timely estimate. After agreeing to move forward with the project I was on his schedule in a short time. They showed up when they said they would start and performed all the work in a timely and more importantly neat fashion. The deck looks great and is exactly what i was looking for. I have received many compliments from my neighbors as well as people in the neighborhood about the deck. I was impressed with both Jim and his partner's work and will be getting additional estimates for other projects around my home. I would recommend Triumph Construction LLC without hesitation. Dave P.

All I can say is amazing. Jim hung in there and dealt with all the stupid issues and twists and turns that my township's building department threw at him. He handled them a lot better then I ever could. He remained professional, kept me informed and completed the job. I would definitely recommend Triumph Construction to anyone and everyone....

My existing 3 layers of flooring were removed and cement board was installed for the tile preparation. I had nearly 500 sq ft of 20 x 20 tile installed on a diaganol with a 1/4" grout line. Jim and his crew prepped and laid everything out for us to approve before any work was started. The tile was installed and grouted in 2 days. He did a fantastic job - every tile is level and the design was planned to maximize the large tiles. My trim mouldings around my doorways were cut to accommodate the height of the tile along with any doors that needed to be trimmed. His crew did a great job and made sure everything was completed and cleaned up. He did a great job - very happy with his tile installation.

I hired Triumph construction to build supports underneath my existing deck for my Hot Tub. He had to pour concrete footings and build supports underneath my existing deck as I was putting my hot tub on the deck. He showed up on time and completed the job on time as promised. He did a great job and made sure that the supports would hold 10 times the amount of weight of a hot tub. He was very professional and made sure that everything was cleaned up. I would definitely use his services again. He did a great job, much more than I expected.

Jim and his crew demolished my kitchen and downstairs powder room in preparation of my new kitchen. I had all of my cabinets removed and 3 layers of flooring needed to be removed. My soffits also needed to be removed. Everything was removed and my walls were repaired and ready for my new cabinet install within a few days. They set up all the dust barriers in order to keep all dust to a minimum. They showed up on time as promised and completed the job on time as promised. I would definitely recommend Triumph Construction and most certainly use them again.

Jim was responsive and easy to work with. He gave a prompt estimate and started the job when he said he would. The construction went smoothly and had no problems with the inspector. Just as important, he stood behind his work. When a nail head popped on a board, Jim came the next day to fix the issue. No other problems have developed. He built one solid deck. If you look at the framing under the deck, it is actually over constructed so that it will last for years if not decades. This was a real pro job with minimal fuss, no high-pressure and good prices.

We were very happy with the results. Jim and his crew are very easy to work with. Communication and project updates were timely. The results were fantastic. Everything from the new electrical, new plumbing, new cabinets and counter tops turned out great. Even the hardwood floor, which had to be patched to match the existing hardwood, turned out perfect. We would hire Triumph again in a heart beat.
Description of Work: Job consisted of a major kitchen renovation. The kitchen and dining rooms were both gutted and their locations were switched to gain better work space and flow. A new slider and new balcony were added in the new dining area. The hardwood floors were patched to cover the former location of the kitchen. New plumbing and electrical fixtures were run to the new kitchen.

Still waiting for the estimate........ Jim talked about how important it was to get a good review on Angie's list but he never even called to say anything about possibly not wanting the job. We waited about a week and then called someone else. Crazy thing is he seemed like a very responsible guy. He took measurements but basically wasted his own time.

Im actually pretty amazed that this current version of the review is still up.. My hope is that there has been a delay on angieslists end with re: to posting your update to this review in which case I thank you for your attention to this matter. As per our recent phone conversation and email correspondence in which I provided more then enough evidence of the proposal being sent out, including screen shots of my {Sent mail/ in: box} and the date in which the pdf for your proposal was created, both confirming the proposal being prepared and sent on 6/29, 1 day after our consultation. This has been an area of our business that we have been consistently trying to improve and although not perfect, we have made much progress. Tim, owner of Triumph Construction, was able to build a deck for me that mimicked a picture that I had for several years. It included a curved bench. Although Jim said he had never done one quite like it, he made one that everyone has been impressed with! It was a pleasure working with him and his crew.

The 2 most important things about them were that they were very prompt with their schedule; they said that they would be there a certain day and they were there. They communicated very well on what their schedule was going to be. I am not sure what made me go with them but I think their price was reasonable and the schedule was good.

The project went extremely well. Jim under promised and over delivered on the complete job. He showed up each day promptly and let us know exactly what he was doing that day. He helped us in the design of the deck as well as coming up with the idea to create trap doors so we could access the panels on our new hot tub. We could't be more pleased with the outcome and we HIGHLY Recommend Jim and his company Triumph Construction, and will definitely use him again....
Description of Work: Demo'd an old wooden deck and rebuilt it with new Azek material. Also added a new stair for entering and descending the deck as well as created recessed "Trap Doors"so that we could gain access to the Hot Tub panels which are located under the deck. Everything whet above expectations , Jim and the team were very professional. The work performed was high quality. They were willing to accommodate small changes to the original plan and found solutions to the issues that arose. The deck that they rebuild feels very solid and it looks good. The pressure treated lumber that they used was of premium quality and so far there are no issues with boards warping or cracking. I will use Triumph Construction again without any reservations.

Jim and his crew did a fantastic job. From the initial estimate through final inspection, Jim was a pleasure to deal with, accommodating, and never tried to "over sell" us on any aspect of what we needed. His team showed up on time every day and built a very safe, solid deck with great attention to detail. We love it and are getting compliments--and are happily passing his name along to others in the neighborhood. The new deck was built off of existing sliding glass doors that previously led to concrete steps and a patio. The concrete steps were cracked and damaged, and it was clear that water had penetrated and rotted some of the rim joist. Jim was able to repair the damage at a very reasonable cost and we couldn't be happier with the job.

Staff was a pleasure to work with, very professional, honest and friendly. All was even done before the time they allotted. Triumph was very professional and courteous and Jim is a great guy. The work was done quickly, they were conscious of being neat and most importantly they take pride in their work and it shows. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results and we recently had a large family gathering and every single person commented about how great the doors came out. Jim Toner and his crew were excellent to work with. The attention to detail and professionalism were unparalleled and we are very pleased with the outcome. As second homeowners we needed to find a contractor that we could trust to manage our project in our absence but keep us in the loop. Triumph fit that bill perfectly. Their communication during the project was constant and dependable. Jim is easy to reach via email or text and kept us appraised each week with their progress.Jim was very patient with us and was happy to incorporate ideas we found online or in magazines. He also really seemed to enjoy thinking outside the box to solve issues. For instance, it was his idea to build large double access doors in the deck skirting to make use of the expansive area under the deck to store our kayaks securely. We gave Triumph free reign in designing and building an outdoor shower enclosure and ended up with a beautiful shower that looks like an original extension of our house, even down to matching our existing siding and roof shingles. Early in the project we had a swim spa delivered which was being installed where a set of steps leading from the ground to the first floor deck were located. Jim removed the old steps to make way for the swim spa and knocked together a set of temporary steps for us. Later, when he was ready to build the new permanent steps, it occurred to him that the temporary steps, if adjusted, could be utilized to give us access from our bulkhead down to our dock. This was an imaginative solution to a problem we didn’t even know we had. Instead of the temporary steps going into the dumpster, they now provide easy access to our dock area. We mentioned during the project that we were interested in some benches to sit on the edge of the deck, up against the spa. When we returned to the house the following weekend, we found Jim and his crew had designed and built custom benches with a hidden dry storage cubby. The benches are sturdy, beautiful and exceed anything we could have purchased in a store. Our original decks had partial privacy walls built out of wood. Triumph replaced them with maintenance free azek versions. When we told him that we wanted the new privacy walls to allow us to see through them from inside the house but provide privacy from our immediate neighbors on either side, Triumph designed and built walls of angled azek boards. The result was perfect and opened up our view from inside but still maintained our privacy when out on the decks. We were so pleased with the work that Jim and his crew did, that as soon as he completed our deck project, we hired him to renovate our kitchen!
Description of Work: The job consisted of the renovation of a two story wood deck and building a custom outdoor shower enclosure. Triumph removed an old unwanted wood staircase that led from the first floor deck to the upper deck, built two new sets of maintenance free azek steps from the ground to the first floor deck, removed old wood railings and privacy walls, wrapped all wood posts and headers with azek, custom built new azek privacy walls and installed new glass baluster railings. To save us money, Triumph stained the existing wood floors of both decks, matching the color of the deck stain to the azek material that they used to build the new staircases. Finally they finished by skirting the lower deck with maintenance free azek panels with custom built lockable access doors to allow us to use the area under the deck as secure kayak storage.

Triumph Construction built us a awesome deck. It's been a couple of months but we still have people who walk by our house and stop just to tell us how nice our deck looks. It's everything that we asked for and more. When I look back at the rendering that Jim gave us in the beginning, the deck looks exactly like what he said he was going to build. During the design process, Jim was very helpful in suggesting different ideas and products to use (we decided to use TimberTech). However, he didn't push a particular product on us and actually encouraged us to do our homework and go out and see the different products. As with any project, there were some hurdles along the way. In our case we had just about every utility coming in from the back of the house (where the deck was being built). Triumph took care of coordinating getting those items moved to different locations. And when the Township wanted to us to have a huge concrete landing off of the stairs of the deck (which I was not crazy about), Jim came up with a solution that looks so much better. He had his crew build a landing area out of the extra decking material. This is the type of person you want involved with a big project. Someone who will think outside of the box and solve problems when they arise. At every step in the building process it was evident that the Triumph crew really took pride in their work. My wife and I are a bit of perfectionists and we were extremely happy with how the deck came out. To give you an idea of the pride they take, just framing out the door and installing the Anderson sliders wasn't enough. Jim and crew added beautiful wood work around the sliders. These details were totally unexpected and really do make a huge difference when looking through the sliders out onto the deck. Just like in this example, the team went above and beyond with everything detail in the project. I would recommend Triumph Construction to anyone and we plan on having them back to help us with future projects.
Description of Work: Triumph built a deck for us and installed sliding glass doors out onto the deck. They also coordinated everything that needed to be moved, which was in the way for where we had the deck built. This included the gas meter, clothes dryer vent (HVAC), and air conditioning condenser unit.

The work done by Triumph was phenomenal. We couldn't be more pleased!!! We love our new deck and glider door, and look forward to now making better use of our back yard! Jim and his crew were very professional, prompt, and hard working. They were very thorough, meticulous, and paid close attention to detail throughout the entire process. We made our decision to hire Triumph based on some of the ideas and building advice Jim provided during a discussion concerning estimates for the work. It was easy to see even at that stage that Jim takes great pride in his work and pays very close attention to the homeowner's ideas/needs. Once we were on schedule and lined up to begin work, Jim and his crew arrived and put in a great effort to get the work done within the timeframe promised. They showed up early in the morning and put in a solid day's work each day they were here. I was quite impressed with their work ethic. We had a few changes in scope along the way, which Jim took in stride and was able to accommodate. He also offered some great ideas of his own with regard to suggesting some design aspects we hadn't quite thought of- which both made the process go more smoothly and turned out great results. We never felt any pressure when he made these suggestions, which were inspired during the course of the work and stemmed from Jim's innate sense of trying to do a great job for the homeowner. We had a few issues (no fault of Triumph's) with some of the building materials received. Jim and his wife (who operate the business together) were able to take care of the issues promptly so they had minimal impact on the work in terms of results and schedule. Jim and his crew were also very respectful of our home and took great care to minimize any mess that might result both inside and out. For example, I was quite surprised to see that even after opening up an exterior wall-and all the way through to the point of finishing it off- there was a minimal amount of dust generated which needed to be cleaned-literally within feet of the wall worked on. The same level of care was taken outside, where larger pieces of scrap materials were cleaned up and put aside to allow for use of our yard during the building process. Once the work was completed, the crew again looked over our yard to make sure all items were picked up and discarded as need be. I would use Triumph's services again and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. They are professional, customer-focused, are very pleasant to deal with, and exhibit a dedication to doing the job right that is hard to come by these days.

We're still waiting for Triumph Construction to get back to us. We like the people but since the hurricane last year they have been so backed up with work that it's very difficult to get a hold of them. We have lots of work for them to do but every time I call them to try and hook up with them, we cannot get a response. We have used them before, that went very well. The price was very fair, my wife and I was very pleased. If I get a chance I will be using them and if Jim answers my calls, I'm not gonna be angry with him but he agreed to do a job for us and didn't come through and we've been waiting for quite a while so that's my only problem with them. I do like them and I would recommend them to many people and I already have but I can't get the job done of what I wanted to do.
