+ -1 moreHe was very professional. He is very thorough about what he did in his estimate. I thought his estimate was quite high that is why I did not use them other than that you recommended him and I have no reason to think he couldn't do a good job, it was just the price factor.

+ -1 moreAfter the severe snow storms of the winter of 2010/2011, with loss of power and heat, and hurricane Irene, when we had to evacuate the island, we decided on installing an emergency standby generator to take care of the essentials (heat, refrigeration, fire protection and power for light, phone, TV and ceiling fans). After doing the basic research we settled on the Generac generator system and got several quotes from area dealers listed by Generac. Lanoka Electric came in at the best price and had good references from customers we checked with. The wait for the generator was about eight weeks, the installation took two and a half days and went extremely well. Not a hitch or a wrinkle. In fact, the city inspectors actually praised the quality of the work!
Description of Work: Purchase and installation of an emergency standby generator (Generac 8 Kilowatt), including the automatic switching system, circuit panel and cold weather kit. Plumming was included to install the natural gas line from the gas meter to the generator. All of the work was well done, the site kept clean, everything carried out in a timely manner. We had help in filling out the forms for the city permits which went right through without any difficulties at all.
