Description of Work: RJW Contracting was great to work with. They presented with professional documents including all insurance documentation up front. Follow-up was done in a reasonable time frame without any hard sell tactics. They quoted a very competitive price for a full roof 2 layer tear off and replacement. The crew arrived on time and were courteous and very professional. Neighbors even commented how quickly and professionally the crew worked. The cleanup after the job was finished was very thorough. I found only a single roof nail at the end of a downspout in a garden area after a very heavy rain a few days after the job was finished. Robert, the owner, and Ed, the project manager, as well as the roof crew get my recommendation any day. My roof was done in early July within about 1 week of quoting. No leaks and it looks fantastic.

Description of Work: RJW Contracting LLC responded to my inquiry for an estimate for roof repair in a very timely manner. Afer a complete free inspectionIt of my existing roof Robert and I determined that I needed to replace the 25 year old roof with a completely new roof. RJW's estimate was incredibly detailed down to how many nails they were going to put into each shingle. The estimate was one of the most professionally written with every detail explained in depth. The literature provided with the estimate from Certaintee was a great help to me to see exactly what steps where going to be preformed using what material. Robert and his men showed up on time and completed the tear off of the two old roofs I had on my house already and to lay down the foundation for my new roof. The extended lengths of six foot of ice shield from every edge of the roof was a extra bonus knowing under the new felt paper was a water tight seal that would not be effected by the ice and snow that sits on my roof for very long times in the cold month in New Jersey. The new roof came out perfect and looks great. Robert crew took the time after the job was complete to clean up all around the house including using magnets to pick up any nails that may have fallen. Robert answered every question I had concerning the warranty, and also showed me how to go online to register my new roof warranty with Certaintee directly. I have had several roofs put on several of my home. None of the other contractors held a candle to the professionalism of RJW Contracting.LLC. I highly recommend you consider contacting Robert, the owner of RJW Contracting LLC if you are in need of a new roof, or just repairs to you existing roof. Description of Work: The job entailed removing an old two layer roof, replacing two skylights and an attic exhaust fan, then relaying the roof. To my amazement it was all completed in one day and the job was extremely well done. On completion the crew performed a very thorough clean up.Rob came the day I inquired, gave me a rough estimate, recommend replacement products for both the skylights and exhaust fan. He followed it up the next day with an exact estimate which included his purchase price for the three items.Once the items were received, the crew showed up very early on the agreed day and worked until evening to finish the job. Overall a very professional experience. These guys know roofing - I know - I have worked roofing myself.

Description of Work: We have a 50 year old home that had 2 layers of shingles on it. it is a small home about 1200 square feet with an attached garage the entire home and the garage needed to have the roof replaced there were many areas where the plywood was very soft. the 5 man crew accomplished what I thought was an amazing amount of work in just 1 day. stripping off the old shingles removing and replacing plywood putting underlayment down and new shingles and flashing the crew chief had been working for r j w for more than 10 years I learned and craftsmanship was excellent. The obvious pride in the work will add value to my home. the clean up at the end of the job was also first rate I couldn't be happier with r j w construction.

+ 0 moreThey did a great job. The only thing is that one of the sliding doors seal broke and we have called them repeatedly but they have not done anything about it. They did a roofing for us and did a great job. I would recommend them, I am just a little annoyed about this one problem. The work was great, everything is top notch. If I needed something I would use them again, I just don't like that they haven't gotten back to me on this sliding door.

They took care to not damage the property or the neighbor's property, which could have happened due to it's close proximity. They cleaned up very well. I won't know exactly how good the roof is until we go through a few seasons with it.

+ -1 moreThe estimator did a thorough inspection and gave a detailed estimate of the cost of the work. An army of workmen descended on our home and worked tirelessly for two full days installing a ridge vent, removing and replacing the old roof and rotted underlayment.. Clean up was good but not perfect, as we were not home at the time of completion and they could not access the attic to clean a small amount of sawdust and debris that had fallen in. Only a few nails and pieces of shingle were left around the perimiter of the house. Since the work was done three years ago we have experienced no problems with our roof.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced roof (House and garage). Installed ridge vent.

+ 2 moreRob and his team are on time, on budget and always professional. For our deck we were unsure which materials to use and Rob guided us by taking us and showing us other decks that he had installed and what we could expect with wear and tear. I highly recommend using RJW.
Description of Work: We first hired RJW over 10 years ago to put in a new roof. They removed all the shingles and put on the top of the line gaf shingles. We asked them to come back in 2009 and they installed 32 new windows, a new french door and a trex deck.

+ 2 moreIn general, the siding job was very good, but they did not do a good job with the gutters - I still have problems with them. They hired an architect to do the plans for the over head over my front door and he did not calculate that the landing at the top of my stairs was larger. When they put the overhead up the realized they could not attach the railing back to the post they used to support the over head. They never checked it, they made the overhead smaller than the landing. So then they had to patch my railing with an angle they made out of the vinyl. Right at the top of my front steps there is this patched railing so I was not a happy camper about that. I had a problem with the gutters and they did come back and fix that initially (within a year), but recently I had another problem so I called them. They said they would come back, but they never came. I called about 5 times and never got a phone call back. It was frustrating. I will say the quality of the job they did on the siding was excellent. The clean up was good, the service was decent but they didn't start when they originally planned which created a problem for me because I took vacation time when they were supposed to be here. They put it off 2 times so I was not at home when they did the installation which is not what I wanted.

+ 0 moreRobert Watts took a little longer quoting the price for the job, but he gave us a contract not an estimate that could go up like some of the other roofers did. He took the time to tell us what to be aware of whether we chose him or someone else. His team showed up bright and early. They covered the siding so it wouldn't get damaged, did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. The roof looks great and the yard is cleaner than when they started. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Removed old roof and replaced with our choice of 30 yr. shingle on both house and detached garage. They cleaned the gutters, blew the leaves and other debris from the yard and ran a magnet around to pick up any loose nails.

+ 1 moreThe did the vinyl siding while I was on vacation so really cannot comment on them doing the job. The house looked wonderful when I got back from vacation. However, I did find a few metal pieces and nails in the grass. I cannot find any "faults" in the siding job. They did a lot of extra caulking to seal up around a faux brick face that I have. The window installation went good as well. They also installed two custom sized doors. One door had to have some extra cutting done which they did. Unfortunately, part of my house bakes in the hot afternoon sun and is showing a little fading, though they stated if I get the fading I should call them if it's "spotty" fading.
Description of Work: I had them do vinyl siding and soffits. Also did windows a couple years later.
