Installation excellent, very professional, knowledgeable, and price was reasonable

He was cordial and on time and fair. He let me know that the roof fan was defeating the purpose of the ridge vent. He was knowledgeable and addressed all issues to my satisfaction that were presented to him, he came to check out the final job. His price was fair.

The roofing was great. This was the first time we used them. They were very popular and we had seen them around, I liked what he had to say, his price was as good as the other one in the area, and his ratings were good. I checked him up on consumer affairs and there were no problems. Some people have lower estimates, but they have add ons, but he was very straightforward, and he found some things that the insurance company missed, and so he got me money. His price was in line with everybody else. He was very good, and his team was very good.

They gave a good price, did more than the other competitors, used quality stuff, and it looks great. They were responsive to my questions along the way. The one area I had a problem with is the electrical outlet in front of the house. They said they would reconnect it but when opening the cover to check it I was taken back that there was no electrical box. The wires were taped but without wire nuts. They just stuffed the wires behind the outlet cover. This is a dangerous situation that they should have reported to me! Overall however my wife and I are satisfied customers and would use them again, but beware of the electrical issues.

RJW did an excellent job on our house. The guys showed up on time every morning and cleaned up at the end of each day. Robert returned all my calls promptly. I would highly recommend them.

We originally called upon Robert and his company when we had ice damming issues this past winter which caused a significant amount of water damage to the interior of our home. I had reached out to a several other contractors, however, Robert was the only person who got back to me in a timely manner, and sent a crew out to our house ASAP to clean the snow and ice off our roof to prevent further damage. At this time, we decided to move forward and explore putting a new roof on our house all together. We considered a handful of contractors. Robert was extremely knowledgable, and professional. He came out a couple times to evaluate and discuss the roof with me, and to answer all my questions. He was extremely thorough in his review. He pointed out to us issues we were having relative to our siding, the flanges on the roof, and where our originally ice damns originated from. He took a lot of time and care to address all of our current issues on our roof, including two old sky lights that we ultimately decided to close. Robert's crew showed up on the day they were scheduled to come first thing in the morning and worked very hard over the two days Robert said the job would take. The materials were delivered in advance too so they were ready to work first thing that morning. The foreman on the job was excellent too, very professional and always addressed any questions I had. Upon completion of the job, they ensured the outside was left spotless. Overall, an excellent job, and I would highly recommend Robert and his company.

First of all I want to clarify that we did not initially find Robert on Angie's list but wanted to share our experience to help others in choosing their next contractor: Robert was very professional from the estimate on through to completion of this job. He was very helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns and in choosing a color. We were happy with the entire job. As a result we tipped the crew $50 a piece. However, our lower mark in responsiveness is a result of Robert not following through with several subsequent estimates of jobs I pointed out to him while he was receiving payment at my house. He never sent over any of the estimates despite numerous attempts to contact him.

Ron from DJW called and set up the date for June 19th. He called the nite before and said that they would be there about 10AM because they were finishing up a job. They didnt show up until 12 noon and the workmen proceeded to eat their lunch which was fine . They started work about 12:30. The foreman told my wife that he had to leave the job because he had a doctors appt but would come back later. The workers were very professional and fast but I was still a little annoyed that he had left. Ron said he showed up later to check on the job. I was at work so I do not know. When I got home after work about 6PM the workers look like they were beginning to finish and were working primarily on the chimney flashing. I walked around and did not see and roof edge flashing ao I went into the attic to check on that aspect of the job and still did not see anything. I asked the person in charge about the roof edge vents and showed him my contract because the foreman still had not come back to the job site. He did not know about this because no materials had been delivered. He called Ron who admitted that he gooofed and did not carefully check my contract and had forgotten about this. The worker told me that materials would be delivered on 6/21 and they would install on Sunday. However, they showed up on Saturday to install the roof edge vent but the supply company had shorted the nails and could not finish the job. They showed up early Monday norning and finished the job. I am satisifed with the end job but not entirely pleased with the mistake and finishing up the job. Another thing is that Ron told me when he was selling me the job that him men would close the end gable vents to make the air circulation beter but did not. This is not a big deal but just another little thing to reduce his rating to a B

Never returned ANY calls for an estimate in spite of the fact they are in my town.

I received an estimate and was advised my roof needed to be replaced and not repaired. He offered to help me with my insurance company. When my insurance company requested photos of the roof, I asked Robert if he would take them. He told me no. He said it was the insurance companies job. That was the last correspondence I had with him. I was planning on hiring him too.

Came for estimate. Described in detail in writing what needed to be done. Came back again to discuss colors, some additional work that was needed relative to the chimneys. I compared with other roofers and felt most comfortable with Robert, the owner. His crew came on time, were very courteous, professional and thorough. The roof turned out excellent. They even replace the roof on my mailbox to match the new roof on the house.

RJW was great. Roof was damaged in Hurricane Sandy. It was overdue for replacement anyway. Robert called back promptly, showed up to make estimate promptly, gave us choices, and completed the work promptly. He was very professional. His workers were excellent. Proper cleanup was done. Couldn't ask for more.

Overall, I am very pleased with this process. I started out wanting to get new siding and and to replace windows in my house. The siding and windows were original to the 1974 house. In meeting with potential contractors, Robert Watts stood out as a cool, calm, and professional person who really cares that his potential customers understand the process as well as the materials his company uses. I was not planning to work on the roof but it sustained damage during the recent storm. Robert Watts offered a fair price for a new roof and so I had all the work done. I am very pleased with the outcome. The crews worked hard, they were efficient, they did quality work, they were clean. when the work was completed, they cleaned everything up.

Robert of RJW was very professional. The work was done in one day by a knowlegeable and hard working crew. The yard was cleaned up perfectly. They understood that I was having water entry problems due to hurricane Sandy so they sped up the scheduled installation date. A great experience. I would definitly recommend RJW Contracting

I met with Robert, the contractor, and showed him the garage and side of the house that needed work. He took measurements and we talked about the difficulties of the work needed on the side of the house. Before he left he took me that he would send me an estimate by email in 3 days. That was the last I heard from him. I tried to contact him through his email, but did not get a reply. Waste of my time. Update: Thanks for the update. I did not get an email from you. The sliding was only 1 or 3 jobs I showed you. The other was the complete replacement of the garage roof and the other was the repair of a flat roof on my house. I guess you couldn't give me a estimate on that either.

RJW did a great job for us. We had two large trees fall on our roof from Hurricane Sandy. We ended up with a hole in the roof and damaged plywood. We didn't know any roofers and found RJW from Angie's List. Robert came to our house within 2 days fully prepared with material samples, good advice and an estimate. He took extra time to talk to us about his crews, the history of his company and the vagaries of running a construction company. The work was done perfectly and timely without any problems. I would highly recommend RJW for anyone.

Robert gave a fair price, spent as much time as was necessary (for us to understand everything), was polite, friendly, and spoke professionally re: his work. We are fortunate enough to have neighbors who had their roof replaced in the spring, therefore, giving us a great example of Robert's work, as well as our neighbor's glowing review (by the way, they got Robert on a referral from friends up north, closer to where Robert lives). He also stated that if we decide to use him he will bring a large section of shingles in the colors we are interested in to get a better idea of what the shingle color actually looks like, as opposed to the small 2" or so samples. He was not pushy, or salesman-like, just a regular guy doing his job.

RJW is fantastic. I've used them multiple times and continue to recommend them to neighbors!

The original roof job was fine, or so we thought at the time.

Robert from RJW came to our house, did a thorough investigation, provided several options for our roof and responded quickly with an estimate. He also priced out a new skylight and 6 inch gutters. We received several prices from different contractors and Robert's estimate was in line with the others. After we awarded the job Robert communicated very effectively and was right on time with his work schedule. He put on a new asphalt shingle roof, 2 solar vents, a new 3x3 skylight, and new 6 inch gutters. Our house is about 2800 sqft so overall, we felt there very good value for the price.We were very satisfied with all aspects of the job....Six months later, no leaks and looks great! Would highly recommend RJW to any other buyers out there.

RJW Contracting used the right materials for the right price on my difficult roofing job. They were more interested in doing it "right" than getting it done any old way, which was important to me. Of the several companies that came to give a quote, Robert (the owner) was the only one to bring a ladder and measure the pitch of the roof! When his crew uncovered less-than-desirable structure during tear-off he and his foreman Juan were there to discuss how to turn a mess into a miracle, order the necessary materials and get shingles on it before night (4:30pm in December!). I will definitely continue to call upon RJW Contracting in the future.

I contacted Rob as a result of a recommendation from Dan Womack, who I found on Angie's List. Dan didn't want to work in NY, so he recommended Rob. We're glad he did. Not only was Rob the low bidder, he was very professional. His crew of five guys showed up at 8:30 AM and did a beautiful job. They were completely done by 3:30PM. I found two little pieces of shingle and one nail left behind. They were as quiet as could be. Some of the other roofers I contacted never even showed up to give us an estimate. Compared to them, Rob kept in touch and updated us on any problems. There was a delay due to Hurricane Irene, but of course that's to be expected. The roof looks great! We couldn't be more pleased. I will recommend Rob to all my friends and neighbors in the future.
